Family events set for Canada Day at Shania Twain Centre

The city has announced the lineup of Canada Day celebrations scheduled to take place at the Shania Twain Centre next week.

There will be a free pancake breakfast, provided by the McIntyre Coffee shop and visits to the Timmins Underground Gold Mine Tour will be half price.

Other activities include: a Tai Chi demonstration, face painting, children's games, a cake-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., karaoke, and entertainment from an Elvis impersonator.

There will also be a prize handed out to the best-dressed Canadian.

Events take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
