Hi, Even if she comes out with a new album she will not ever be able to stop singing the songs she wrote with Mutt because that is what most people know her for...she has no choice and won't be able to break those chains ever...she will always have to reopen those old wounds when she sings these songs no way around it...and we think it's so easy.  She's not like us to where she can just let it go and move on totally with a new life...I'm sure when she sings those songs she has to remember all the details about them so she takes a trip down memory lane every time she sings these songs she wrote with Mutt.  She just keeps reminding herself of the life he destroyed.  Not an easy thing to get away from in normal circumstances but in her position even more difficult to do being famous and then having to sing about all that every night.

I agree. That sucks big time, especially when you wrote it with your ex-husband...It's one thing to make a song famous that you did not write, but it's another thing all together when you actually wrote it. Being famous makes it harder because you lose privacy and the fans *expect* you to sing this for them, regardless of how you feel. The one person who comes to mind with a potentially similar situation in the works is Beyonce (referring to the elevator incident). She's written many songs dedicating her love, fidelity and trust to her husband. Then, fans will demand to hear all of those songs. 

Personally speaking, I would rather not hear those love songs Shania wrote for her husband if it will make her cry like that. I may be a cynic, but I have a heart. I really wish to hear her sing new songs about the life that she began with Fred and how she's healed. I'd love to hear that. Maybe that will take the place of the old songs.

 Glad you had such a great time, David. It's always nice to hear comments from fans about the shows. It is definitely a good thing you went to the July 23rd show and didn't go to one of the following ones that were cancelled. That happened to me in February. Luckily, I don't live too far from Vegas so it was easier to re-book. I do realize however that is not the case with most fans. Awesome picture, by the way!

Project Description

Shania Twain has joined the great roster performers that play multi year runs at the Ceasars Colosseum in Las Vegas (Celine Dion, Elton John, Rod Stuart). Her show required a flexible stage with elevators, mobilators, and a flying ‘HorseCycle’. The look and feel of the show had to reflect Shanias personal story and public persona. It feels both intimate and spectacular for a nightly audience of four thousand.

This production will run for at least two years.

I accidentally opened the beginning of this thread instead of the last page and there are worlds between her look then and her look now. Her whole head looks so big now in comparison to her body. Very weird. Her crows feed are completely gone, cheeks are too puffy. Looks just very unnatural and overdone in my opinion. Less is more. Is she trying to look like the sister of her son? I'm not saying that I like her less because of that. I just find it very sad to see how low her self-confidence must be. She has been voted most beatiful woman in country music 3 years in a row and still she feels the need to use botox.

Yes, many people do it but that does not make it better. There are also many people who jump out of windows lol. Can't believe the lyrics of her song "What a way to wanna be" anymore. Must have been written by Mutt alone and not by Shania.

I think a lot of it has to do with the photo angle and lighting. I mean, from some angles I look good, some I look like a thumb. Whether or not she's had a botox injection lately is her business, but I've certainly seen worse botox jobs.

I know other celebrities look much worse with the botox but many of these celebrities are way older than Shania. Makes me think how awful Shania will look in a few years. And I was not just referring to the photo with the girls I think she looks weird in many photos and in videos too.
And if you look at Carrie lol... she is two years younger but looks older than her sister. I'm not a fan of her whole look (hair and makeup) during the show. Looks just too fake and doesn't suit her well in my opinion.
The fake hair/extensions for example is way too long and there are many negative comments about that on facebook if you read the comments once in a while. Then she has so much rouge on her cheeks which makes them look even more puffy. I think she needs a better stylist lol. But well it's just my opinion and taste. Some people prefer fake looks and others prefer the more natural looks. I think a fake look like that makes a person look silly... like a doll without a brain lol. Of course I know Shania is very intelligent.

Well I feel sorry for you women. Women get wrinkles much sooner than guys and age quicker. Shania feels the pressure to hide some of her wrinkles which is normal considering she gets her pics taken all the time.

I prefer a natural looking Shania. I personally feel that she is too beautiful a woman to resort to botox and fillers. And her hair extensions are way too long--they overwhelm her since she is such a short woman. I forget how short she is until I see some of the candid fan shots.

But this is the problem with women in the spotlight when they are known for their looks. It is a long, hard crash down to reality once the wrinkles start to appear.....if you are always told how pretty you are over and over again and then wrinkles show up, I imagine that you start to panic.....

Obviously Shania, and any woman, is allowed to do what they want with their appearance. But she looks so much better with her natural hair and without the injections.
