Too bad I'll be on a plane during this Q&A.... I'll have to read it afterwards.

I wonder why it's on the Caesars Palace Facebook page, rather than her own. If it were on her own page, then it would be people who cared. On the Caesars page, not every follower of their Facebook page is a Shania fan. Do you know why they would choose to do it this way, Tommy?

Now we know she won't be extending her Vegas residency because she wrote "If you want to come see a show in Vegas, you better do it soon". I have no doubt that there will be a new album at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year.

What I really wanted to ask: "Can't you just try to work with Mutt purely on a professional level?" But then I realized she was only answering the quickest, easiest questions, so I asked about her fave ice cream, which is Maple Walnut.

You could ask her if she would ever play in Indonesia, Africa, Findland or Siberia, and they all would get the same answer: "Would love to".

I'm really tired of her saying she's working on the new album. I do feel sorry for her though: you can't find a bigger hit maker or more talented producer than Mutt Lange.

 Yikes, would be surprised if that was actually asked. I think we know she has no intentions of ever working with Mutt again. Even if they could professionally, there is too much personal baggage there. He screwed up, and unfortunately she has to face that. She shouldn't have to, but she does. I mean wouldn't it be awkward if you wrote love songs about your new spouse and your former spouse who cheated on you, was sitting at the other end of the room at the engineering board listening to you spill your heart and sould out about someone else. At least that would give him a good reminder of what he's done.

 Oh lol. That question was asked, I did see it. 

Honestly, I can't really say if that rumor of her dropping new music is true or not...I mean come on, that is unlike her. Then again, what other country artist had three versions of the same cd, just different mixes and sounds. We'll see.

I literally only asked her about the ice cream because I just wanted her to answer a question of mine and I could see her pattern of only answering safe questions.

Hi,

Maybe this means that she will continue with Vegas but have a new show with the new contract and do the songs she has not done in this show.  Maybe she will do a DVD of this show and then the new show will start. 

My question for her would have been why she doesn't play piano on stage ever...never knew she played until recently...would be something different she could do in her show to change things up.

Also would have asked if she still likes to write in a wine cellar like she used to do when she was in Switzerland.  Maybe Caesar's Palace has a wine cellar that they let her use (lol).

Can't wait to hear the new stuff.  I am sure it will be a mix of emotional songs.  Maybe a few sad ones with how she was feeling with what the old "Mutt" did to her and the way she felt when she was falling for Fred.  You know sticking with the theme of the black horse and the white horse deal.  How the black horse represented the past and the white horse represents the future.

Well like Melanie just said, there is no affiliation with LasVegas magazine and Caesars. When I was there in June there was a free copy in my room at TI. Las Vegas Magazine is its own entity. It is not owned by any party such as Caesars Entertainment. Caesars most likely purchases a spread for their artists and it is sent to the publishers of the magazine.

I agree. She won't be renewing her contract after December. I think that's what a lot of people are assuming after she said "If you want to come see a show in Vegas, you better do it soon". And if you read between the lines when she said "If you want to come see a show IN VEGAS, you better do it soon" and take what she said about the Calgary Stampede possibly leading to a new concert tour, all signs point to just that. The Calgary Herald wrote: .. noting that she and her people are “looking at some dates already, probably in the spring,” and might have something to announce when her commitment to Caesars runs out...". That'll be her big Vegas announcement coming up.

But will she go out on tour without a new album? That would be strange!!! Although Shania "admits a tour next year won’t necessarily coincide with a release, but doesn’t rule out fresh material before then or soon after." I just hope the tour isn't like Vegas but I bet it will be. Or very similar. That's not Shania. She isn't Katy Perry.
