Then she'll announce the single and the album

The announcement was just removed from all social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. What the heck was that all about??

I want to be excited about this (if its happening, because it was just removed!) but I hope that its not just another stall tactic to delay the new music. This has happened before. She makes appearances and does little things that distract and take away from releasing the new music.

Apparently NBC wanted to announce it first. They came out with a formal announcement about it and then suddenly Shania's posts reappeared.

Shania Twain Joins The Voice Season 12 as Key Advisor

Does this impress you much? Shania Twain has joined The Voice.

Twain will serve as the key advisor to The Voice season 12's Top 12 contestants. She'll appear in the April 24th episode of NBC's reality singing competition. The news was announced on Twitter.

"Excited to announce that I'll appear on @nbcthevoice this month, as a mentor to the finalists. Tune in on Monday 24th April at 8 p.m. ET/PT," Twain tweeted.

Twain previously mentored contestants on American Idol and is gearing up for the release of a new album. The singer has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and is the top-selling female country artists of all time. In addition to Grammys, Twain has won CMT's Artist of a Lifetime Award and recently the Icon Award at Billboard's Women in Music ceremony.

Other key advisors in the past include Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Chris Martin, Nate Ruess and Taylor Swift . Cyrus went on to serve as one of the coaches on the competition series. Current coaches are Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.

On Monday, April 17 and Tuesday, April 18 at 8 p.m. both nights, the remaining contestants will compete for a spot in the Top 12 during live playoffs, which will feature real-time voting on The Voice app and Twitter. Viewers can vote for two artists with the remaining spot being selected by the coaches. Contestants who secure a spot in the Top 12 will have the chance to work with Twain in the next phase of the competition, which begins Monday, April 24th.

When Shania does the voice next week will the show be a hour long or two hours like tonight?

Shania is working with the Top 12 contestants today (and probably tomorrow).

I just saw a commercial for "The Voice" promoting Shania's key advisor role and it said: Monday and Tuesday "The Voice" adds a 5th chair for special guest Shania Twain.

Originally she was only supposed to be on Monday's show. Also, along with her advisor segments which she recorded this week, the commercial makes it sound like she will also be LIVE as the Top 12 contestants perform on Monday night. Then Tuesday night 2 contestants are voted off.

Voice Adviser Shania Twain Remembers Her Musical Firsts and Reveals Her Unexpected Crush

Before Shania Twain became one of the best-selling music artists of all time, she was the girl at the rock show and taking lessons from the King of Pop.

The Grammy winning singer-songwriter opens up about her musical firsts and favorites in a clip shared exclusively with PEOPLE ahead of appearing as the key adviser for The Voice’s top 12 on Monday night.

Twain’s first album ever was Michael Jackson’s Off The Wall, and the first concert she went to was for legendary rock band Van Halen.

“I was 15 years old, and I was so in love with Eddie Van Halen,” Twain, 51, says of the experience.

With a number of mega-hits under her belt, it’s hard for Twain to choose a favorite song from her own repertoire — though there’s one that she thinks “stands the test of time.”

“My favorite song to perform on stage is probably ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much,'” she shares. “A lot of people wear leopard print clothes to the show and wait for that song. It’s a novelty.”

Though Twain’s leopard-clad music video for “That Don’t Impress Me Much” is a memorable one for fans, she lists a different video as her personal favorite.

“My favorite music video that I’ve ever done is ‘The Woman in Me,'” she says. “I went to Egypt to film that video and I got to ride a horse between the pyramids. It was incredible.”

And, of course, Twain’s debut as a mentor on The Voice wouldn’t be complete without listing her favorite songs by the coaches.

“My favorite song by a Voice coach is ‘Girl on Fire‘ by Alicia Keys,” she says. “Love that.”

As for her favorite Blake Shelton song, she names a tune that’s “clever” and “so different” from one of her own songs — “She’s Got a Way with Words.” When it comes to Gwen Stefani, she says the “go-to party girl song” “Rich Girl” is one of her favorites. Among Adam Levine’s hits with Maroon 5, Twain loves “Sugar” and “Animal” but her overall favorite is “Maps.”

The Voice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
