Per current media base charts, Shania's WGSTD is starting to make headroom splashing it's way into the top 50, currently holding at number 50. That is an increase of 7 spots as of right now. It has currently spun 570 times, increasing 170 from last weeks 400. Hopefully we can get this song rolling!

"We Got Something They Don't" really deserves to be pushed, it's such a funny and chatchy song. I hope she'll sing it live on Tour, it should be amazing.

Shania needs to film a music video for WGSTD for more push. Theme is like a fiesta with a band and then she should be wearing boots, short skirt with a cowgirl hat.

The Year in Country 2017: "Honey, I'm Home" -- The return of Shania

ABC News Radio | December 28, 2017

Promotion leading up to the release of Shania Twain’s first studio album since 2002’s Up! promised 2017 would usher in the “Summer of Shania.” By the time NOW arrived at the end of September, the Canadian superstar had lived up to the hype.

NOW’s lead single, “Life’s About to Get Good,” proved the country/pop icon could still make music in the classic Shania vein. It even boasted a singing, dancing, beachside video that lived up to the iconic clips that helped cement Shania’s legacy in the '90s.

With her new music, Shania seemed determined to peel back the curtain to showcase the human side of this once-mysterious musical goddess.

She spoke candidly about the vocal problems that contributed to the long delay between albums. She didn’t hesitate to admit she once thought her only musical future was as a songwriter, and believed she’d never make another record after her divorce from longtime musical collaborator Mutt Lange. Shania even revealed Prince had wanted to produce her new project prior to his death, but she simply wasn’t ready vocally at the time.

Shania made multiple high-profile appearances to promote the album. On her 52nd birthday, she kicked off the U.S. Open Tennis Championships in New York City in August, and even appearing as an exaggerated version of herself on the hip Comedy Central Show Broad City. In October, she served as a guest judge on ABC's Dancing with the Stars. In November, she was brought onstage via a husky-drawn sled to play the halftime show at The Grey Cup, the championship game of the Canadian Football League.

Even without a hit at radio, Shania NOW still managed to debut at #1 in multiple countries around the world upon its release, topping both the country and all-genre charts in the U.S., with Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom following suit.

Fortunately for her fans, in 2017, Shania even reconsidered her proclamation that 2015’s Rock This Country trek would be her last. The 2018 NOW Tour kicks off May 3 in Tacoma, Washington.

Shania’s WGSTD is so back and forth right now entering and falling out of the top 50. I’m not sure how long she can can keep this going without having a push behind it somewhere. If this single fails to crack the top 40 on the country charts, it’s gonna be really hard for her to have a hit at all.

Hi Diva! Let me get back with you on a list of stations to request the song on. In the meantime, you can call my local station, that has yet to add WGSTD to their station due to lack of traction it’s getting, but if we get more people other than myself to call, they’ll have to add the song. They play the heck out of LATGG. The number is 423-639-1831 For WIKQ. You can also call another local station of mine at 1-800-332-3697 for WXBQ.

Can someone help me out? What is Shanias latest single in Canada? I have Yet to hear who's gonna be your girl on radio. I'm starting too think it ain't a single and if it is why ain't it climbing the Canadian country songs chart? It's such a good song

You are correct. It's "Who's Gonna Be Your Girl". Just like "We Got Something They Don't" is Shania's current single here in the U.S. but it hasn't charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart either. And I doubt it will.

Shania’s WGSTD is staying steady today on the Mediabase chart at #49 with 603 spins. I wish her label would promote this song more than they are. It’s actually charted longer than LATGG.

New Album

Shania’s WGSTD has fallen out of the top 50 on the country mediabase charts, and LATGG is holding steady up to #19 on the AC mediabase charts.

For Your Information: Apparently Country 97.5 (KHCM - Honolulu, Hawaii) has added "Soldier" to their playlist rotation. However, it doesn't mean it will be a single. Radio stations occasionally add album tracks here and there.

What?  It's #3 this week, #2 in pure sales--ahead of Eminem, T. Swift, P!nk, U2, etc. all of whom released after her.  Maybe you weren't expecting her so high on the list, haha.

Great she's starting the new year so well.  NOW was already the 3rd biggest album in Canada in 2017 in terms of units moved (#2 female); it was 14th on the charts (#1 female).  Overall, Shania was the 2nd biggest albums artist behind only Ed Sheeran.  In terms of overall units she managed to sell 2x Platinum "worth" of albums last year alone.

Here in the U.S. she continues to perform wonderfully in pure sales, hitting #18 this week--her 14th consecutive week on the charts.  The Billboard charts modified their methodology years ago in order to cater to younger artists, thus it is nearly impossible to hit and remain in the T10 without strong streaming numbers.

All in All... Go Shan-Shan!!  wink
