Since we have no music news then I guess I will post this.
IRI health and wellness and beauty business reports say Shania is in the top 10 selling woman fragrances of 2007. Out of the thousands of woman fragrances, Shania is in the top 10 and only one other celeb fragrance made the top 10 and that is jennifer Lopez.
Okay I got that off my chest, now we better have some music news this year and not perfume news. If Shania is an artist at all she should be ashamed for not touring or making music in so long. I have said I will not support Shania again if she doesn't tell the fans of new music this year. And I am waiting to some kind of news. If Shania and her mangement put her fans through another year like the last few then she could kiss her career good bye because it just shows a total lack of passion for music,caring and pride in your music or career. It is just like she wants to fizzle away and the hell what the fans think. I hope the next news I post is about a new single later this year.
I don't mean to keep repeating myself but I see the same thing playing out this year with the label,management and Shania stringing us along until mid way through the year they say lazy Shania is not done her cd yet so don't expect a cd in 2008 either. I hate to say this but Shania is not what you call a real artist. Artists are always creating and making music even while on break. Music is their passion and they love performing. Shania has only had 2 tours in over 15 years and only 4 albums. She has not had much of a body of work and she is already 43 soon. Her excuses are more and more laughable and some of her fans eat it all up. Just like that fake message from Shania's staff at christmas saying She really loves her fans lol!!! That was the biggest insult to the fans using some generic saying to try and make the fans still interested in her music while she has been on a 6 year break from music. Shania fans deserve respect for respecting Shania's privacy and believing ever word she says. They have been loyal but Shania's lies in the recent while have turned many off of her. Everyone here respects Shania's privacy but she uses that as an excuse now to take years at at time off without even so much as a word to the fans. Shania has no pride in her work and doesn't care how others percieve her, she lives in her European bubble with her hermit husband. So I have no delusions that Shania will have new music this year because I really don't think Shania even gives a hoot about music. It is like she is making the fans feel guilty for forcing her to make music. If Shania was at all passionate about music you wouldn't see all these excuses and delays for years at at time. She has plently of privacy and family time, more than 99% of all people but she is crying about not being a spotlight person. Okay Shania, then give back all your money and go work at mcdonalds again. I hate to break it to everyone but Shania acts so humble to the media about how she is so down to earth but she has the money to buy estates all over the world and vanish for ever if she wanted to.
I think Shania made it clear at her access hollywood interview how selfish she is. She says she has no need to make a public appearance for her fans unless she has new music or in other words unless she is selling something. Do you remember Shania told her fans awhile back that she doesn't accept letters from them because she couldn't read it all and it would take away from making music. Take away from making music? lmao!!!! She barely makes music anyway. It was just another way of telling the fans to get lost. I am not telling all of you fans to feel the way I do but I can tell you that qprime and mercury have been getting alot of letters complaining about Shania. She really has lost credibility with everyone. The really interesting thing is that Shania Twain does not care at all about her career or if people stick around. She has no pride in the career that she tried to build. I am sorry to see the fans go through the same thing this year with lazy Shania,her management and label leading us on. Me complaining isn't going to make her get off her butt and make music she claims she is passionate about but it does get off my chest what many people are feeling
Let me clarify all of this perfume stats. I got an email back from the IRI health and wellness marketing editor.
Shania by Starlight was the #1 womans perfume launch in America with sales of 4.5 million in 3 months.
Shania also ranked as the #8 perfume house which is a combination of both of her perfumes. The only other celeb in the top 10 was Jennifer Lopez and her perfume house(6 perfumes)
So it looks like Shania's perfume is just as successful as her music career.
I loved how she kicked Gwen Stefina,Mariah Carey perfume launch in the butt.
