Hello everyone. I thought I would change the topic . I am going to

see Rascall Flatts on April 2nd but the reason I bring this up is because I will also be seeing taylor Swift.  Are any of you familiar with her music. Her cd really is good. She is the real deal. She writes her own songs (the lyrics and the music) and she really is gifted.  In someways she even reminds me of a young Shania twain.  She is handling her success with a lot of dignity. The way I picture Shania would be at this young age. Have any of you seen her live or Rascall Flatts. I would be most interested in your thoughts.

OMG! I am absolutely in love with Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts! Both are truly amazing! Taylor has a special, unique talent though. She's only 18 years old and writes her own music, and she has such a beautiful voice! I love every song on her cd!

I will being seeing Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift in concert this coming August. I am beyond excited!! I can't wait!!!!!!!

And I totally agree! Taylor is like a young Shania in a way!

You can't compare anyone to Shania, young or old. Shania is totally unique and a leader who broke down barriers in country music and took in globally.
I find it funny that whever a new artist comes along they always try and compare them to Shania who is the standard of success.
Truthfully, Taylor is okay but all her songs are for her age which is teenagers. She is nothing special. At least she isn't a totally manufactured act like American Idol siner Underwood.
It looks like Swift is the new flavor of the moment.

Actually Walter, taylor is the real deal. A singer/songwriter who will only get better with age. She is not the flavour of the month. Agreed she is not Shania. However, having said that she is unique and who knows how good she will be at 42. Hello Comeon Over. I can see you too are a fan of Rascall Flatts and Taylor Swift. I think both of us are fortunate that we will be able to see them. I will give a review of the concert on the 3rd. I too can hardly wait to see them.

Hope you both enjoy your concerts... I too have 3 concerts that I am attending between April and Mid August that I am REALLY looking forward to... Having said that I think I would rather keep that info to myself... After being put down on an ongoing basis when talking about people that I am TOTALLY into I have learned a lesson.. That list of people being.. Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Martina Mc Bride,Natalie Maines,Sara Evans,Madonna, Julia Roberts... Pretty good list of talent in MY opinion.... Having said that different stokes for different folks.... In have MY personal opinion on both the artists that you spoke of... LOVE Taylor....BUT...Will leave it there...(  certainly will not rain on your parade).... I am just the type that don't beat up people for having different viewpoints on the ARTS... I guess I would never walk into ANYONES HOME  on this site and say..".Man..That is one ugly painting on the wall "... Why... Because it is art as well as rude.... Having said that I certainly have to wonder if some on this site might say it if they came into my house..... Bob

Bob I am sorry you feel you cannot say who you are seeing live. I may have seen them already and could give you information about them. Anyway, of the people you mentioned as favorites I love them all except for Natalie (she just rubs me the wrong way). You are so right though art is personal and therefore varies person to person. Its wonderful though is it not to be able to attend concerts. I love it and plan on attending a few more this year as well. Maybe just maybe we will be talking about attending a Shania concert sooner rather than later.

Bob, I love ALL of the people you mentioned except for Natalie Maines (I don't know who she is), Madonna, and Julia Roberts. I may know a few songs by Julia Roberts though.

I will be seeing Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood in concert in April, and I'm REALLY looking forward to it!! Carrie is just absolutely amazing. Her latest cd rocks!! And Keith Urban is awesome as well!!

Actually you might remember I made this post not too long back... The 3 showstoppers when they walk into a fancy Gala Ball that EVERYONE stops in their tracks to look at.....Madonna, Julia Roberts,Faith Hill... Actually I bet Pretty Woman is still one of your favourite movies.. And know it is with ALOT of people. Runaway bride I am sure has been seen at least 3 times by most of the world... I was so happy the night she won her Oscar... A woman that can be both funny and dramatic... First opinion I have stated for a while but feel it is a thought shared by most.. Hard not to love Julia...Bob

I would really like to see Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban too. So far there is no word of Carrie coming to the West Coast of Canada. From what I am hearing from people is that this is a great concert to attend. They are both supposed to be terrific live.

I saw Keith Urban along with Dierks Bentley open for Kenny Chesney about four years ago.

Keith does pick a great guitar and banjo! Very impressive playing, he must currently be one of the best in all of music.

Yes I like Keith as well.. Kind of wonder though how huge(I mean REALLY huge) he would have been if he had come along at a time that ROCK bands were the big thing. Even though he falls under country I have always found that a stetch..  Bob
