I was wondering , for those of us that saw Shania live. How good your seats were. We had wonderful seats the first time I saw her. They were over to the side of the stage but close real close to Shania and we could see everything real well. We did well the second time as well. Also I was wondering if anyone has met Shania (in a meet and greet or some other way). She puts on such a good concert I can't wait to see her live again.
Hey Lulu... I saw her twice on the Up Tour.. First time Air Canada Centre...Toronto About 20 rows up on the blue line.. Second time.. John Labatt Centre..London Ontario.. It is a smaller venue..About half the size of A.C.C.... Centre Ice..About 10 rows up from ice.. I suppose one thing that I really am confused on though.. The" in the round" stage.. At first I loved it but as she moved around to the other side she was pretty much gone. It seemed like the view was all or nothing. Now it did allow alot of flexability to the show but I don't know quite what I think.. In some ways the typical end stage seems a bit old fashion but the flip slide is you always have a constant view. Both shows were of course identical. Will never forget when the lights faded, that curtain on centre stage lit up,that haunting just a pretty face music blasting, all the band members coming down from the seats, and Shania tricking everyone when she never was behind that curtain but instead running through the floor seats and onto the stage, only to break right into Man I feel like a woman..WOW WOW WOW....Bob
I never made an effort to see her on the COO tour which to this day I'm kicking myself over as I had no idea she would take great lengths between tours. We've only had two major tours thus far and COO was electrifying.
So during the UP tour I went to the Up Live In Chicago special concert summer of 2003. On the regular tour I went to three concerts, so I suppose I've seen her live four times. Amazing each time of course, the best as far as I'm concerned.
At Chicago I was probably within the first 25% of the crowd to the stage with another 75% behind me. At the regular shows I had 2nd level seats the first time and 5th and 2nd row seats from the stage my other two experiences.
I was fond of the stage in the round. It was all or nothing, but at least people all had a good distant view 360 degrees and with a end stage, people way in the back get a terrible view. She had the stage set low, people had an opportunity to approach the stage and all that. It was nice of her to do that.
Again, knowing that she has lengthy gaps between tours, I think this time around I'll make sure to at least see a half dozen shows, cuz you never know when the following tour will occur if it does at all, lol.
Hey joe! I'VE GOT A PICTURE OR 2 FROM THE 98' TOUR!! BUT YOU'D HAVE TO PAY TO SEE THOSE!LOL. JUST KIDDIN I'll have to show'em i gueess sometime, huh!!!!
That sounds cool Joe. She was right in my home area on the COO tour, but did not visit that same PA town for the UP Tour. I had to travel to see her on the UP tour, but it was worth it as I wasn't about to wait another 5 years or more between tours, lol. When I missed her in 1999 I thought oh well, I'll catch her probably in 2001 and little did I know it would take longer. Now I know better, hehe.

YEAH JOE ! Back then, we all kinda took it for granted, not knowin' that it was goin' to be eternity before we would see her again!!!!!!

I wonder whether on Come On Over, Up! and Rock This Country Tours there were only seats like in most cities of Now Tour or also there were standing places?

If I remember correctly, the Rock This Country tour (which was only in U.S. & Canada) sold General Admission tickets where people could stand on the floor.

And what about CCO and UP? Only seats? Because of the Up! Live in Chicago concert people tend to think that standing on Shania's concerts used to be the norm, but Live from Dallas (CCO full concert) seemed to be an arena type of show where people sat (although The Specials DVD demonstrates standing crowds). A bit confusing and I wonder what used to be more like norm on her concerts in the 90s and 00s?
