I think that being certified 4x platinum for a greatest hits cd is fantastic in todays market. For comparison look at Faith's hits cd....it only sold 78,000 copies the week it was released and basically it has bombed. Yes, 4x platinum is remarkably good.

Exactly lulu, not only has Faith who is normally a good seller been dead in the water with her GHs, Keith Urban hasn't sparked much attention, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, Leann Rimes, Trisha Yearwood, just to name a few examples. They're all having trouble reaching Gold certification.
Shania has even passed Martina McBride's Greatest Hits which was released three years before Shania's. The only other GHs album that has done well in recent years is Toby Keith's released the same time as Shania's. He is about 150,000 sales behind and should be getting close to a 4X platinum certification soon as well.
No naysayer can convince me Shania isn't still a major player in this day and age between a GHs album of songs most fans have already, being out of the limelight much since its release and two successful fragrance releases....
