Will Shania Release a New album This Fall ?

What I wanna Know is Shania Twain reported in 2007 that there will be a new album in 2008. The thing is where they split will that happen now or will it be sometime before we hear from this diva as to the plans of her future are.

Well this was a huge bomb thrown in our laps and totally took the world by surprise. After all those beautiful songs from albums past, Shania's constant devoted word of love, one would bet everything they owned that this separation would NEVER happen. Shania was meant to be loved and married for life. What a world we live in.

I just don't know what to make of the new album. This obvious tragedy would make me believe it maybe awhile before Shania decides to release. She may have to redo most or all of the album if all this stuff is true. First of course the healing process and I can only imagine how long that may take. I can't get over this sadness. Why must it be this way?

After all this that has happened in the past week, I doubt there will be a new album this year.

What if he finished the album and then said goodbye? It might be done???This is only speculation, I have no basis for this statement. Maybe I should just shutup.

It is highly unlikely that there will be a cd release this year. I have no doubt Shania is devasted and not able to support a cd release at this time. She needs to be there for Eja and she needs some time to regroup and heal and be ready for the hurdles ahead. She will have to deal with custody issues, the dismantling of the Lange/Twain empire etc. I hope beyond hope that this does not get messy. I am sure if she had her way it won't be messy. I also know she will fight for full custody of Eja.

Dismantling of the lange/Twain empire, boy is that a smack in the face. Who would have thought? Shocking.

It will be a complicated matter.

yes Joe it is shocking, and i think is shocking for shania too,i remember she once said that she is lucky because she made it with the first try,and that she didn't have to look for happiness anymore....how sad and unfair.cry

she thought it would last forever.
btw how come the houses were under Mutt's name?? i remember that when they sold the chateau he was the one who met the new owners, shania had nothing to do with that(always according to the reports).
boy she even took his name, she is not a feminist,i have relatives that have kept their last names after they got married, shania is old fashioned.

I remember that Shania line.

I like old fashioned girls, I would appreciate someone like Shania's attitude.

Yes, Mutt was the "man" of the house and his names were on all the properties. I think there is nothing wrong with husband and wife having both their names on things like that. I know a guy (friend of a friend) who worked in upstate NY that did a forestry job right on the adjacent land to where the Lange's lived!! As a souvenir he took the sign off a tree that said this property is owned by Robert John Lange. Shania took his name which is wonderful and traditional but seems Mutt had his name all over ownership.

I don't know? hmm... just to sad the whole thing.

Well for Mutt to have his names on the properties maybe he bought them. Hopefully none of Shania's money went into the development of the property. Oh boy, I did not know he was listed as sole owner. I don't know what Shania's rights are in a situation. Jim seems to think she won't have any rights to these properties as she is not listed as co owner. I tend to agree. We will have to wait and see how this works out.

It does make for an interesting situation doesn't it lulu? Hopefully Shania is involved in some way and has rights.

Mutt might have protected himself, clever, and Shania of course in love went along. Hope for the best.

I hope she does come out with one but I understand if she doesn't. This is shocking like everyone has said. He must have known it was coming if he put his name on everything. I remember in an interview, Shania said that he is the one who picks out all her clothes to wear for concerts. I never known him to be controlling. I thought they were happy and had everything they ever dreamed of, aside from Shania wanting more children. I wish she had more also. I give her my condolences to this matter and hope for the best for her. Time will only tell.

It would have been nice if she could have more kids as she wanted. She's a family girl.

I remember how she use to say that Mutt liked picking out her outfits. One of those guys, lol.

Still doubt it, she'll probably wait until her divorce is finalized before any new music is released.

That is a pretty bold statement. WE all know she isn't going to release anything this year, that is a 100% fact.
But what if they stay seperated for 2 years before the divorce is finalized.
What does the paper work have to to with getting on with your life.
And as far as we know they could have divorced already and won't announce it for awhile.
So having the divorece finalized should have nothing at all to do with gettting with your life.It would just be another excuse not to make music.
Let me just put it this way, if Shania does not have any new music next year then expect her to have very little fans base left and expect Coty and qprime to drop her as clients and expect Mercury to get out of the contract.
I am just being honest, nobody wants an artists who has been inactive in 7 years on their roster.

Shania may not have put out a studio album since 2002, but she's certainly not inactive. She has since been creatively involved with developing her own fragrance line, funding programs in Canada and US that help to eliminate child hunger (remember, she did the Scentstories Shania's Wishes For Spring ad campaign for Febreze), promo for the Greatest Hits CD, and attended the annual Swiss Red Cross Gala events. On top of that she received the Order of Canada. She's been writing songs on the side and has gradually worked on demos in this time, she hasn't lost the passion for her music, although she may give that impression.

I think we also have to remember that Shania and Mutt could not agree on songs for the next cd. Apparently they were at odds with one another regarding this. That is why there has not been a cd since 2002. Now we wait to see what producer she will go with for her next cd. When that will happen is debatable.

Didn't Shania also say she had problems translating the more intimate sound in her voice (which Mutt loved) onto the microphone on the last album? Whatever producer she picks now, they are going to have to better Mutt's standards if they want the album to do well and re-establish her name.

I think the most important decesion in Shania's career will be on who will be her producer. Mutt is a tough act to follow thats for sure. I think Shania will have a hand producing the next disc I think. She may get some producing credits.

I'll be intriegued as to where she will record the CD. Will she go to back to Nashville or hire a studio in Switzerland or go to somewhere like TO or NYC?

She owns half of Mutt's studios and she may use any of those studios or she may buy her own or she may just use another studio.
But you are dreaming if you think she will go back to Nashville. There is nothing there for her, she burned that bridge long ago, she is univeral and global.

That would make sense and I don't know what I was thinking when I suggested Nashville.
