I hope the next time she is spotted it is in a studio!!!

It doesn't necessarily mean she was buying liquor for herself, as she she might have been having guests over. She may quit Sant Mat now that she and Mutt are finished. But I would hate for the press to imply Shania is turning to drink to drown her sorrows like a lot of other celebrities do. She's a better role model than that.

people you have to remember we've only know shania as a married women she's single now things are going to change a little,who knows maybe she's just having a party or something,maybe she will have a couple of drinks every now and then nothing wrong with that

It would be ridiculous to suggest that there was something to her rather than what was portrayed in public that she somehow secretly was a "drinker" or whatever when she says she hardly touches the stuff. Non alcoholic champagne at their wedding.

Heck she had water in her champagne glass when she toasted at dinner with the two winners of the Trump Apprentice episode she did.

And Kit Kat being an Italian bar & grill that has a vegetarian menu does not sound like a booze place but rather more Shania appropriate being the health nut she is.

We already know Shania ain't afraid to buy booze for company, at least wine. But if she and the sisters want to get drunk a weekend, they deserve to after what Mutt did.

My brother works as a lawyer in toronto but I have never been to Kit kat. I tried to look it up on the internet but you can't really get a sense of what type of place it is until you have been there or live there and been there several times.
I  believe you when you say it is a place to let loose and a booze type hang out.

Maybe that is why the person for the national post mentioned they spotted her at the liquir store a dail earlier, maybe he was being sarcastic about seeing her at the liquir store because she was seen at a booze type hang out(kit kat)
so mabye Shania was only seen at Kit Kat and the other comment about the liquier was a humorous sarcastic remark.

Well maybe on my trip north next time I'll step into the Kit Kat and see for myself what the atmosphere is like. I already know most of the main attractions north bound especially the drug dive bars of Timmins!

I think its great Shania is getting out and about, so what if she's been spotted in a liquor store, i think all what she has been through she's entitled too a least one drink.
If she's having a divorce, she's going too change her ways a little, here is the new Shania, she's no longer controlled by Mutt.
So maybe we will see Shania doing a lot more things that she  has never done before.
I think having this divorce will be the making of her, she might think that at the moment, i feel she has never really done the things that Shania wanted too do.
Certainly living back home in Canada, will do her the world of good.
Switzerland maybe a beautifull country, but thats not her home.
I know she said that the press does not take notice of her there, but are those the words from  Mutt, he'd rather not have the attention!
If i was a male and married to Shania, i would want to get photographed with her everday, what man would'nt?????
Anyhow these are my opions, i'm sure other folk have theres.

Switzerland is lovely, but she loves Switzerland because of mutt. If it wasn't for Eja, she would be out in a flash.

   I really believe the court has nothing to do with this at all.
I believe they worked things out peacefully behind closed doors and I believe Shania will choose on her own to have her  home base in Switzerland because of Eja's ties to school there and Mutt can visit easier.

Fans think just because she's spending a lot of time in Canada since the split that she's going to automatically move back there for good. Shania said herself she can't live anywhere North America or in her native country, because she gets recognized all the time and she likes to escape the attention when she's not in the spotlight or so to speak. And when she does come back with new music, she's going to find it harder to maintain any normalcy and privacy. Switzerland aren't bothered about celebrities, and she can take Eja to the park and do her own grocery shopping without the feeling as though she's being watched. It's also central to Europe and she can still have her hot chocolate.

What I was implying is that Switzerland is similar to Canada with the lakes and the mountains and the fact she can have hot chocolate all year round.

Without a husband she is so isolated there now. How can it be pleasant anymore?

Yup, it just doesn't seem like the ideal place anymore for good reasons.

Regardless of Eja's schooling and even though Shania likes solitude living I don't think she is that far out there to be living alone with no one around. She enjoys family and has her small circle of friends.

It just ain't pretty is all.

What are you talking about. Of course she will live the same lifestyle.
Why the  heck would she change her lifestyle?
She lived that lifestyle because she liked it too.
When you  are worth hundreds of millions of dollars like Shania is then you live like a queen for the rest of your life.


Not only that but she according to those in New Zealand Shania wants to keep her New Zealand 30 million dollar property.
And according to the registy in Switzerland. The 16 million dollar place they bought in 2007 on Lake Geneva is now under Shania's name only.
So there seems to be plans of her staying in Switzerland as her home base.

Well I hope we get to see her in public more but the years are going by and she is 43 already. She isn't getting any younger. And the more she is in public the more the media will focus on how she looks. And if there is any flaw then they will point it out and I think Shania is very insecure would hate that.
So she better get out there while she is still under 45. The longer she waits, the tougher it will be to get back.
Who would of thought she would of had no studio album in 7 years, that is almost a decade.
We will have to see if she will be seen more in the future.

Yup, the reason why I get annoyed easily in this stuff, and her personal life. All this gossip garbage brought up with no real backing. Shania didn't have this much in her celebrity time slot and now we have assumptions after her split...

The press should really focus on her music now and of any developments with that, we don't want to keep hearing about how Shania is helping get over her divorce by shopping and travelling and where she dines out, etc.

It's always nice to hear though of fan encounters, like the guy who ran into her at Pearson airport.

Hopefully we'll get information about her next album, or maybe a TV appearance like the CMA's coming up in November. I know Canada Am would love to have her back to co-host again, since she's in the Toronto area.
