Looks like Shania can't stay out of politics no matter how hard she tries...BUT USA POLITICS...They keep drawing her in.
Democratic Senator Kathleen Sebelius commented"""AND THE REBULICANS HAVE SHANIA TWAIN".....She was referring to her feelings that the republicans are having so much trouble getting American musicians in their camp that they have to go after Canadians such as Shania.  You can read this story in Google News..Bobby boy

Sebelius puts on her dancing shoes: We're the party party

It's not all speeches, banners and badges at the Democratic convention in Denver.

There's some kick-ass dancing going on as well and Kansas' urbane, sophisticated Cosmo girl is right in the middle of the fun.

The New York Magazine reported that a full-on dance circle formed around Gov. Kathleen Sebelius and Louisiana's Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu, a "mighty sexy bald-headed man."

The magazine reported that the couple was "just tearing it up."

Sebelius's dancing was so kick-ass, according to the magazine, that New Orleans music legend Allen Toussaint came over to give her a bow. As she caught her breath, Sebelius pledged to do her best to make sure the Democrats party harder than the Republicans.

"Well, I don't think there's any question, Sebelius told the magazine. We have the most amazing lineup of musicians - Kanye West, Wyclef Jean. Let's start there."

And the Republicans have a Canadian, Shania Twain.

"I''m a global music fan, so I think it's fine," Sebelius said. "But I think it also goes to show that there aren't a lot of American musicians who will show up for the Republicans."

I thought Hilary was after Shania, lol?

If the Republicans want Shania, I don't mind. lol

It doesn't matter what they pick for music, Shania is not involved politically. Although many country acts have signed up with the Republicans. Don't mention the Chix though, lol.

What do they mean the republicans have Shania? Are they talking about the music being played? So is Shania's music being played at next weeks repbulican convention.
And what do they mean by musicians showing up?

All the old republican guys have the hots for Shania and her music.
Dick army( I think thats his name) has a huge picture of Shania in his office.
And he references Shania's that don't impress me much song in some of his conversations.

This is so weird.kanye West is performing at the demo convention and so is wyclef jean.
So  they say Shania will make an appearance at the repulican convention.
That would be the most shocking thing in the world to me.
The republican convention is being held in St Paul minn at the excel centre. The excel center is the place Shania holds the record for largest single attendance for a concert or gathering.
Very interesting they say the republicans have Shania. Could that mean an totally shocking Shania appearance and performance.
I would jump off a cliff if this were true.

I really don't know how to interpret "And the Republicans have a Canadian, Shania Twain." Are they saying she's supposed to be at the Republican Convention next week? Or will they be using a song of her's? Or are the Democrats just mocking the Republicans choice (or lack of) of musical artists?

 Me too and I agree.  Shania is not involved.


I think the Dems were making a joke that Reps can't get any good American acts so they have to rely on Canadian acts such as Shania.  It was a dig.  As far as I'm considered it would be better than anything the Dems have.  I think Brooks N Dunn and some other country acts will be there for the Reps, better than K West and such imo.

Yes Dick Armey is a fan.  He referred to That Don't Impress Me Much when discussing the political choices for president on the Republican ticket, saying none of the choices during the primary were true conservatives.

Yes, McCain went with a northern bush girl from Alaska, she use to commercially fish for a living at one point. She's a tough gal.

She's got a great resume and she is a hockey mom, has many kids and seems very smart and is not a liberal feminist complainer, but a woman who worked hard the good old fashion way like Shania. smile

She's a lot better looking than Hilary too, lol.
