I would like to talk about this huge event that is in Shania's home country. I know as a fact she has been asked to be a big part in the Olympics and it would be a shame if she snubs it or turns it down. I don't know any person who would turn down a chance to support their own countries olympics.
In 2003 Olympic Evaluation committee reviewed the bid from Vancouver. David Foster was part of the bid and according to prime minister Cambell of British Columbia, they tried to get Shania to be part of the bid. Shania turned them down. It boggles the imagination how Shania could be so insensitive to her own country and just snub it like that. I am not making up anything and I don't want to be negative but I am really upset that Shania turned down an opportunity to be part of the Vancouver bid in 2003. It just makes me think that she may also do the astonishing and snub and turn down a chance to be a big part in the Vancouver 2010 olympics. Rest assured that Shania has been contacted and asked to be a big part of the Olympics. So if we don't see Shania at the Olympics in her own home country then it is because she turned them down.
Like I said I don't want to be negative and I said I would tone down until something I find I am passionate about. Well, turning down your own country makes me passionate. I wonder what David Foster was thinking when the prime minister told him that Shania turned down to be part of the Vancouver bid. He probably rolled his eyes and said if she doesn't want to then you can't force her. This is why Shania has lost respect in many circles. She doesn't care how insensitive she is to her own country or her fans and hasn't for years. Even Reba was asked by TMZ cameras 2 months ago if she heard anything about Shania and how she is doing. Reba rolled her eyes and said she hasn't tallked to Shania and don't know how she is doing. Shania basically has no real friends anymore in the industry and I am afraid she deserves the cold shoulder. She just has chosen to not be a part of the industry and chosen to not be freinds with many. Which is fine but she has to realize that nobody is going to welcome her back with open arms.
What are you talking about? Of course they would of kept her in mind, she would be their first choice for everything along with Celine. In fact the Prime Minister of British Columbia said he tried to get Shania to be part of the bid in 2003 and couldn't get her. So just keep this in mind, if Shania is not at the Vancouver Olympics and a big part of it then Shania turned Canada down and a chance to support her own country in the Olympics. It has nothing to do with keeping her in mind, she has been contacted to be a big part of the Olymipics already and I am sure you know that. Celine is opening the games and we will see very soon if Shania has snubbed her country or not.Because trust me, it would be a huge snub if she is not at the olympics. There is no excuse in the world she can make for not appearing. The olympics come by once every 30 years to Canada and and is planned year ahead of time. So I will wait and see but if she is not there then I and many Canadian would consider that the biggest snub of all. Way bigger than not attending fan fair in over a decade and way bigger than all of her other non shows.
well surprise surprise i agree with Kevy, seriously now i do agree,she has to perform there,this is huge, lots of people are going to visit Vancouver form all over the planet for this. it would be a great honour for shania herself that her country chose her to be one of the performers there.
i think that the right thing for shania to do is to accept this invitation.

There is zero reason for not performing at the Olypmics that come around once every 30 years to your country.It would be the biggest slap in the face to Canada.
