Nickelback Releasing Free Song

On Nickelback site they have they are produced by Mutt and names the rock groups he has produced, did not mention Shania at all. Most articles mention that he produced her too but not nickelback??

Nickelback are really hot over here right now, their song 'Rock Star' is used on a sofa commercial. Guess the site�didn't mention her name, because of their impending divorce and he is more known for producing rock groups/artists.

Is is more known for being the husband of Shania.
Before he married Shania the general public didn't know who he was, only those in the industry and die hard rock fans knew him as a genius producer.
But once he�married Shania then everyone wanted to know who he was.

I have to admit this new song is great and will have huge pop appeal.
I have been reading all over the place recently how Mutt Lange was the real talent and Shania was nothing.
That really bothers me that now everyone is taking shots at Shania and it really bothers me that Shania has such low self esteem to even stick up for herself.
While Mutt was out producing another great cd, Shania was asking her fans to feel sorry for her.
I want so bad for Shania to prove she can do it without Mutt but I am having doubts she even believes that.
If she was motivated in anyway to do anything, we would of heard something.
It will only get harder the older she is.
People are already saying she is done.
For her whole career to be defined by Mutt Lange is really sad.
I was hoping to see a strong Shania wanting to fight and be better but instead we get a weak Shania asking her fans to feel sorry for her while she travells and shops.

Mutt is a dog, plain and simple.

Shania will prove herself when she is ready. People giving Mutt all the talent credit can go straight to hell.

We know Shania's life story all too well. This was a kick in the stomach for her, the woman deserved better, but she'll be back. She ain't goin' down.

She could of been ready any of the last 7 years.It is too late in the game to make that statement. She is 43 and will be 44 next year. It will be much,much harder to get back in the game and she wastes so much of her talent and time.
Shania will be defined by Mutt Lange unless she gets her butt on there now and even then it may be too late.
Shania can't just at 44 go out and expect all her fans and ex fans to be there after she has been gone so long and showed to effort to even be part of the industry or friends with her peers.
I am just being honest.
Reba will even pass Shania as the best selling country female in the united states soon as REba is releasing a another 3 cd set greatest hits in october. And Shania has put out no product in 5 years and there are no signs of life.
While Reba has had many projects in the last many years and always there for her fans.

I agree with you Kevy. I have been thinking about this for a long time, I'am going to hire a surveying company. I want them to compile information on Shania. Like ask music lovers. #1 do you know who is Shania.#2 will you buy her c.d. #3 When do you think she will come out with a c.d. will it be 2008,2009,2010 or never.#4 will you join her fan club. There will be about 25 guestions. What do you fans think about this idea. If you fans thing of any question that should be ask, please let me know.

I like the idea except the first question. Everyone knows who Shania is around the world whether she has been on hiatus or not.
The question should be if you would be interested in a new Shania album and if anyone cares.
But doing a survey could give some fans� a reality check.
But the really funny thing is that I really think Shania has never really cared about what anyone thinks,she wants to be left alone without being noticed so she can spend her fans money in privacy.
When she needed her fans for her career she was very pleasant from 1993-1999�and�fan friendly but once she made so much money she has no need for anyone.

She will only pop out once every 6 years to promote her perfume.

I am starting to sound like a broken record here. The reason there has been no music from Shania in 6 or 7 years is because she and Mutt were fighting over the songs and how they should proceed. Obviously Mutt having the huge ego that he does could not take this and now they are divorcing. I believe Shania will come back. As for people saying she was just Mutts puppet well they are wrong. They were wrong 11 years ago and they are wrong now. Shania is a fighter. She proved that when her parents died. I deep down do not believe she will allow Mutt to define who she is both personally and with her music. Its true she has been kicked in the stomach but give her time she will come back.

Sorry Lulu, time has run out. Her fans gave her 6 years and were very patient for her. A 43 yearold woman who has ignored her fans for years has not leg to stand on. I hate to say it but maybe it was Mutt along who was the real driving force. Shania seems very weak and looks for excuses all the time.
And please stop pretending you know about their marriage because you don't. There marriage was odd from the start and they were never as close as the fans think.
Mutt this summer has gone out and made a great Nickelback cd while Shania looks like a weak person asking everyone to feel sorry for her.
She will be defined by Mutt because Mutt is the one she had all the success with and she doesn't have enough self esteem it seems to stick up for herself or just go out and prove everyone wrong.
It makes me really sad to be a Shania fan these days.

but I have to say Mutt produced a great album for Nickelback and their lead off song is great Mutt perfection.

Please do not put Shania has suffered like millions of people. I will say maybe when she was poor. But not now, I know people that did not have a job or money to eat and care for there children. After few months they pull them self up. Not like Shania she has all these years to come back. I do not care if Shania sings or come out with a c.d. If she come out with a c.d. and tours IT IS MONEY IN HER POCKET, NOT MINE. She has enough money to last her a lifetime.
This is my opinion of her. #1 she is lazy # 2 she treats her fans like crap,she will not take the time to be with her fans. Not once has she been to fan fair.
I'am sorry to say jerks like me supported her all these years. I have spend lot of time and lots of money and resources to get a message to her that she must get back to work, or she will lose her fans. This was very hard for me to post this because I love Shania after being a fan for 19 years.

You were a real true Shania fan with your collection of her items and all the things you bought with her name on it.
I afraid that Shania just has never cared much at all for the fans or even music.
thats why somebody who has so much money becomes so unmotivated, they never had the passion.
It is really sad that Shania never took the time to really connect with the fans.She only comes around when she needs� them to buy something.
the few fans left will get angry with our comments because deep down inside they know it is true.
She was even in Ontario this summer and could of dropped by the fan convention and surprised her fans but she never even thought of that.
It would of meant so much to them for her to take a small amount of time to make her fans happy.

I want to apologize to you when I was kind of hard on you a few months ago.
I know that it is not your fault with how Shania and her management treat her fans. And I know you were only trying to give what information you could that you knew. It is not your fault that fans are being mislead by her whole team for many years.
I truly would love to be a fly on the wall when her management talks about Shani behind closed doors and behind her back. I wonder how much support they have left for Shania knowing how over the years she has really done� nothing and mislead them and the fans.

Anyone I just wanted to say that I was out of line for the way I treated you and can admit that you are only a Shania fan telling us what info�you can or what you know and what info their management devluges to� you.

I must admit I've found Nickelback a bit plodding in the past and never been a fan, but this new song is amazing. I also thought that Mutt was losing his touch towards the end with the�naff PFT and Shoes. Maybe he needed a fresh challenge with a rock band again. Who knows if Shania would've ditched country all together she could've went with a more hard rock sound, I think that would've brought out the best in Mutt too like working with Nickelback has. Nickelback have had good success with their last couple of albums, but you can bet this new one will surpass any of that. They'll be able to attract some pop fans to them now.

As for whether Mutt was the true genius all along. It was always the thing the bashers and her critics levelled against her. They said she was pretty and just a studio creation. Of course us fans always said it was untrue, but deep down we knew Mutt was the true talent when it came to creating the songs. Shania was always the face and charisma of course.What has became apparent more recently was that Mutt was the drive too, I must admit I always thought in the past that Shania was that, maybe because of her earlier life. Maybe carrying those designer shopping bags around the world and putting them in the back of the people carrier is hard work after all.

I do believe Shania brought lots of talent to the table too with song writing and clever lyrics and her honey voice and charisma�but I think the drive and the ultimate creation of the song was Mutt no doubt.
What really bothers me is that it is becoming obvious that Mutt was the whole motivation and driving force.People say she was a go getter but she really wasn't. She would of been satisfied just to make a living.
It was Mutt who drove her to worldwide amazing success and status, he was the driving force.
Shania only seemed motivated when she had to make a living and support her sibblings.
But once she had all the money in the world after COME ON OVER, she had no motivation and Mutt had to convince her to make UP after 911. Shania was already making excuses back then not to make music.
Her whole career will be defined by Mutt Lange and I am not sure she has the strength or self esteem to prove us wrong.
I have read many places where people are taking shots at Shania and saying she is�nothing without Mutt Lange.I really don't know if Shania has any pride or self esteem in her music or legacy.
It was all about making enough money for her in the beginning and now that she has so,so much money, she has zero motivation to make music.
I wish I was wrong but everything in the last 7 years leads me to this conclusion.

I've never cared for Nickelback either. But this new song sounds great; in fact all the new stuff I've heard from Mutt is really good. It makes me think those rumours about the break up being caused by creative differences are probably not true because Mutt has obviously not lost the magic touch.

I'm sure the rest of their album will be just as good. They seem like a really nice bunch of guys and they played Birmingham, UK, not too long ago.
