The new album!!

Mid 2009? Do atists release new albums in the middle of the year which is summer? I don't know. Can't remember anybody. The best time for an album coming out is pre-Chrstmas time as I read and that is why many releaeses happen in November. And this is not the first time so I don't believe it much but anyway thanks. :)

Labels like to release their big artists like Shania in the 4th quarter for holliday sales. But there has been a trend lately for big artists to release in the spring and summer.
If I were to guess, any Shana release would be around November.

I have to agree. I see Shania releasing in November with a new single out in late August. She would release during the holiday season this is what record companies like to do with their stars.

CMT is a cable video channel. They wouldn't know when the album will come out unless they are friends or close to someone at the label.
The label and Shania are the only ones who would know.

I have Cable TV, but they do not sadly broadcast CMT here�in the UK. Most of our music channels play R & B, they don't cover country acts at all.

I don't think that CMT is a good source. If I remember it correctly, after the split CMT said that Shania was going to launch new perfume this year but it wasn't true.

It depends on who the person at CMT is. When Shania does start to make a new album, insiders such as musicians, engineers, etc will know about it well before anyone else. It's very possible that someone at CMT would know someone in the industry who would be associated with a new Shania album.

Wow, a cd early next year. That would be great cause for celebration. If her cd is coming out in March we could look for a new single in January. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. There have been no rumours leaking out about Shania choosing a new producer. You would think such information would have leaked out. Unless she is proceeding with Mutt producing?

Just wishful thinking:

Shania will be the surprise guest on the CMAs next month and she will tell reporters her comeback is soon waiting and then next spring the album arrives.

Better yet she surprises everyone by performing her new single for the next album that will arrive in spring.

She may not say a lot, because she wants to surprise everyone, but something to the affect of:

"I'm currently in the studio working on the album.......and I hope to have a new single out�early next year,�I can't tell you when that will be exactly�right now."

i would think someone would have spilled the beans if shania was in the studio working,musicians her record label or just someone who works at the studio,thats a lot of people to keep a secret

I hope she breaks out at the awards show with a new song. Her album could be done. She could release it for Xmas and then tour during the summer. Does she need me as a manager??

im just guessing,i would think with all the people involved in putting together a cd, not to� mention there familys and friends i would think something would leak out

It would be wonderful if she was the surprise guest at the CMA's and whilst there she announced a new cd for early next year. I can see that happening if she goes with Mutt as her producer. If she chooses someone else I see that taking longer...like November next year. It is so exciting to think of new music coming out is'nt it. What can I say except this woman still rocks.

My source says Shania has been in the studio for the past couple of months. So, YES expect a single and possibly a video around jan. or feb.And a new album around march or april!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

That sounds way too early, but I hope you're right. We should be hearing alot more news about it right now, though, if this news is true.� I guess it's possible that Shania will be the special guest at the CMAs next month, and we'll start getting lots of new information then.� It's only a few weeks away.� But the more weeks that go by with no real news, the less likely it is for an early 2009 release.

Did your source say that Shania has been in the studio in the past couple of months? Is she still in Canada or is she back in Switzerland? Hopefully she is getting over her separation.

Shania is a perfectionist and she wouldn't want to release anything until she was personally satisfied with it.

What will Shania be singing about in her 60 new songs? I like her and she looks fantastic. What will her sound be? Does she really want to get back in the business? I guess we shall see.

Wow, an new cd in the spring? That would be wonderful although I still believe the release will be in November with a new single out in late August. Thats my 2 cents worth. I will though, be very happy indeed if her cd came out sooner. That would be wonderful.

Just what I've been told! But, you never know! I do however know that she has been in the studio, that I know for sure! Shania may put the release off till nov. but if it's ready sooner why would she wait?
And Shania really does look great!!!!!!
Looks to have releaved a little stress somehow!!

If she's feeling a lot more confident and is comfortable with returning to the spotlight then it makes perfect sense to get back out there, music has always be her therapy�and if she really wants to piss Mutt off by putting out a fantastic album which goes on to sell bucketloads,�that he�was�not a�part of,�that would be a great accomplishment.

Don't worry, I won't hold it against you or Chasoinc.

Shania may get the EOTY award at the CMA's next year assuming that her album comes out early-mid 2009. Hopefully she will show up�at the ACM's in May but it would be nice if she makes one or two public appearances before then.
