Blog Posting - Shania Twain being Pursued by Major Promoter to do new World Tour

IUC Exclusive: Shania Twain being Pursued by Promoter of Rolling Stones, U2 and Paul McCartney to do Full Blown World Tour

IUC has learned the world's top music promoter Michael Cole is trying to get the world's top country music female star Shania Twain to sign on the dotted line to do a full blown world tour. Cole has joined a long line of other world class promoters trying to talk Shania into rocking the stage again. A source close to Twain told IUC the Canadian born singer composed over 60 songs on her accoustic guitar the past few months and is secretly working with a new producer on an album. Her longtime collaborator and husband Mutt Lange, who produced Nickelback's new album, will be keeping a very close eye. "It will be Shania's best work ever," the source said. "Now that she's estranged from Mutt she's more determined than ever to prove to everyone she can make it on her own." DEVELOPING

I'm still not positive how reliable this guy is, so I'm posting this here unstead of under Breaking News.  But it does sound possible.

Its very possible. This guy is an award winning journalist who did books on Kurt Kobain and many other big stars.

Maybe there is some accuracy to his source.

Maybe there was major truth to all those rumors of how the songs were pouring out of her over the last many months.
It says she composed 60 songs on her acoustic guitar and has been scecretly working with a producer.
Remeber Chaos saying Shania has been in the studio the last couple of months.
Maybe things are adding up. Don't want to get too excited though just yet. But there is still huge demand for Shania worldwide.

Wow, imagine a Shania tour next year with a new cd preceeding the tour. Would that not be utterly fantastic. She is so talented that it is good to hear news that she is planning a comeback. Woot Woot what great news.

do you think shania would go on a big tour?i think maybe some concerts but she would have to leave eja for weeks at a time on a world tour wouldn't she?

I think she'll have a normal tour. She can take him sometimes with her to show him the world. Other time he can stay with his father or someone else of their relatives.

I don't think either Shania/Mutt would want to be away from Eja for weeks at a time. During the last tour, Shania had Eja with her almost all the time and Mutt stayed with them a lot. If they end up divorcing, there's going to be lots of logistics and the airlines will be happy.

Her last tour lasted 18 months and after a while it starts to take its toll, and I'm not sure how she would work it around Eja. Before it was different, because he wasn't enrolled in school then. Having said that though Shania does enjoy touring so I can't  see her turning down the opportunity if and when it arises.

Stop pretending we know what she wants to do.
The fact is that Shania could and huge world tour and still work it around seeing Eja all the time and Mutt also will look after him.
There is no doubt Shania will do a huge tour for her next album and come out with a bang.
Many promoters have been pursuing Shania to sign on for a big world tour and trust me Shania will do one right after the album is out.
I laugh at some fans who say she won't do a tour as big as UP. You are right, her next tour will be even bigger and go even more around the world is my opinion.

I am inclined to agree with kevy. I think Shania will do a huge tour to promote her next cd. Maybe she will have Eja home schooled (like Celine) and take him out on tour for a year. There are all sorts of possibilites to make it work.

Eja seemed to handle it as a small boy the last time around and other moms have their kids, martina, Sara, ect.  I think he's been adjusted for the most part.

the last time around wasn't eja 2?i know they have dvd playes and game machines if he enjoys those type of things but keeping a 2 year old and a 8 year old entertained are different,i just don't think she's going on some 18 month tour thats just my opinion

Boy I hope she comes to New Zealand if she eventually goes on tour! I havent seen her live and it would be amazing. I was too young when she toured last. But even if she doesnt make it to New Zealand, Il b sure to skip over the ditch to Australia and see her!

I just want to say, I believe there is lot of truth in that article... I mean how many times has Shania been saying shes working on music in the past 18months or so. She has obviously been wokring on stuff before the split, but whether or not she uses some of that material or not is a mystry... I think she will use a little. I think this will be a HUGE album!

Cheers guys :D

Of course no-one knows what she wants to do. Why should it matter whether she tours anyway, you're the one who said Shania has been playing the victim all this time, has lost her passion for the music and cares less about her fans.  If you still believe that, you obviously wouldn't want to part with your cash and spend it on something more worthwhile like a charity that helps sick kids.

It is none of your business how I choose to be a fan.
I have always been a fan and when she tours I will probably see at least one show.
She is a great artist with great music.
But I as a fan had every right to question her the last few years.
Now, I am taking a wait and see approach because it looks as if she finally will come back to her fans with new music soon. She took a step forward this week.
She could of told her fans something in the last few years and that would of satisfied me and other fans instead of very little to zero connection.
Maybe now she sees that her fans mean more to her than they did before and maybe she is going back to the old Shania of 1995.

I'm sure the wait will be worth it and Shania may become more fan-friendly from now on, she was touched by the standing ovation she got at the CMA's.
