Wow! Great news indeed if it turns out to be true. I've been a huge Knopfler and Dire Straits fan going back years to the Brothers In Arms days, and as Country Gal said he has moved closer to country and folk in recent years. I'm a little surprised if he he thinks he can make Shania a huge star again as I think his style these days is more low key and laidback. I don't think he would produce a Mutt style bombastic rock-pop album. I would love to hear him playing his gentle guitar behind Shania's sweet voice. I think Mark has even recorded the last few years in Nashville studios, even in his Dire Straits days he mixed rock with country and blues.

Why is that such a big joke, this guy has plenty of expertise and has been in the music biz a long time, he could�really polish�the album's sound and I think it's great that producers like him are begging to work with Shania.

I too would welcome this collaberation. I think though that this time Shania should co=produce her cd. I really hope it gets leaked soon who she chooses to be her producer.

I didn't say that Shania wasn't a huge star anymore, just she is more of a faded one in non fans eyes. Of course you can't spot that, as you live your life through her, and love to think more about how rich she is and how many albums she has sold than her happiness. Keep taking the meds boy. biggrin

I live life in the real world not some fake world.
You must read too much internet garbage and think because an artist takes a few year off then they lose their status.
I care about my familes happiness.
Shania seems to be doing alot better than most people here.

It doesn't bother me either way if she chooses to work with him or not; I just want to hear some new music and I'm sure the quality will be fine.

She doesn't know. She probably got it off Wikedia which mentioned mutt was working on Shania's next album.
But we all know its not true, there is no way Mutt is working on Shania's next album.
Maybe in the future he will but there is no indication at all that Mutt will have anything to do with the new� album.

I'm sure this is going to get a mixed response,�some fans still want her and Mutt to continue working together in some capacity, while others are� against the idea considering what has gone on in the last 8 months.

That helps to explain why Mutt is supportive of her and Fred seeing each other now and why she didn't name Mutt's mistress as a third party in their divorce.

I'm not sure what to believe. I find it hard to believe Shania would work with a man that broke up their marriage by having an affair with her friend. Kevy's theory about them only getting together with their new partners long after they seperated could hold some water.

I must admit on a musical level I was hoping Shania would be working with a new producer with fresher ideas than Mutt. Although I can understand Shania wanting to work still with the man she trusts more than any producer.

I don't think Mutt is working on the album myself, but we'll see. You can't discount anything with any certain authority in Shania's world right now.

He will have his name somewhere on that album trust me. And it will be Shania's best work ever, and to get the story right I never said she never had no new producer, I just said Mutt is gonna be involved fully with the production, but Shania, could still have a new producer, to help her out but mutt is making sure the whole process goes through ok.

I was not told a date, the response, was '' in a few, very short weeks, after christmas'' so I assume by January or February, Shania want's her album out as soon as possible because, she has waited too long, but all her fans will hear something shortly after christmas from her label. and I was told, that Shania, does want to tour again, its up too everyone if you wanna take this information or not, but remember I live in Timmins. Shania's hometown, there is alot of people here that know her, and still have contact with her, this person I know, is always in full contact with her and her family, but keeps her information to herself for shania's sake.

Shania fans have been getting alot of conflicting and false information over the years, so please don't take it personal if some fans don't automatically believe something posted on a message board, even though I'm sure they want to believe it!

I hope your source of info is right, and thanks again for sharing it with us. We'll find out soon, it seems.

Mutt was quoted in people magazine on the big cover story with Shania on June 6th.He said," we will remain very good friends"
Thats what leads me to believe this was worked out a long time ago and Mutt and Shania could possibly work in the future together. I don't know about this album but for sure in the future.

ian undercover did say Mutt will watch over the whole project with a close eye while Shania is working with a new producer.
So maybe Mutt is involved in some way.

I have been gone all week doing storm damage in Mass but a lot as happen this week huh.If Mutt has anything to do with Shania's next cd then i will believe that the message Shania released in May was a fraud.No way does a woman that was in love with her husband and finds out he was cheating with one of her close friends is working with him a few months later.Now if we are to believe Kevy's theory that this was all worked out a long time ago why would Shania throw Mutt and Maria under the bus for having a affair?Why not just release a statement like Mutts that said we have grow apart and will remain friends,then i could believe they could still work together.

Mutt is working with Shania in some way, trust me. and shania is no angel she has had many boyfriends, and still does in Timmins. For many years she had a boyfriend while married to mutt.

Fokes...It is time for me to step in a bit here...Peever, in no way am I suggesting is throwing out stuff with any ill willed intent. However I think it is fair to say that Timmins is no longer the connection to the pulse of shania and her activities..To day I read his post(above), indicating that�Shania has had�an ongoing boyfriend in Timmins whlie married to Mutt..I think what the site needs to get a grip on is Muskoka,not Timmins is now the hub of her activities..Hell she was here all last summer and�hardly visited the town..I tried to point out to this site many times,that old small town�gossip thrive in this cold wintery town and alot of bragging bar talk goes on�in Timmins reguarding Shania .You might member that recent post of mine...As I said the pulse of Shania is now in Hunsville/Lake of Bays..NOT TIMMINS...Yes we too hear rumours but rumours that are so unfounded that they can't even make it to the tabloids.. My strong advice as far as rumours such as Peevers is to take them with a MAJOR grain of sault..If you folks knew how many of them,I could post,but choose not to, you would be very shocked..I suppose,even though we have the right to post what we want,I would ask Peever to think out posting degrading immoral rumours that are being spread by the local Timmins bartenders.� Further I would suggest to peever to have these friends log on to signifiicant internet sites themselves, break a huge story,that the press will�pick up and run with ..Thats unless they are afaraid of a massive law suit based on stating untrue degrading stories about her..Bobby boy

Shania with a boyfriend in Timmins? No offense, but...Timmins? If my girlfriend was one of the richest and most powerful entertainment figures in the world, I sure wouldn't be living in Timmins. Again, no offense, as I come from a small town too, and I love it. But I wouldn't still be there if Shania Twain was in my life. Now a boyfriend in Switzerland or London, or even Muskoka as Bob said...that I would believe a bit more.
