Shania does not have Facebook profile that I'm aware of and if there claims to be one, it's likely to be someone pretending to be her.

According to Angie she does have a Facebook site and it is official. She doesn't go on it though. Someone runs it for her. Free publicity for artists and all. Don't know if they pretend to be her and log in and post stuff or how that works. I don't think this should be allowed but I think it is done a lot. I wonder if that is how the Myspace page works also. I'd rather not even think that they scam people like that. Why not post an official newsletter to the fanclub on that website once every couple of months like they used to and be done with all of that. Let Shania write it to the fanclub and post it. Then we would know it was official I guess you could believe that. I don't know though it could always be someone making stuff up.
Warmest regards as always,
Tonto

Shania's "official" Facebook page is run by Universal Music Group.

Hey whatever happened to the real fanclubs where the fans actually got to ineract with the celeb and there was election for president and vice president. Who's bright idea was it to turn all that over to a company that handles 50 artists and really doesn't do such a great job because they are so diversified. How can artists say they like it that way. Looks like they would want people to handle it who would give them all the attention its all so commercialized. It takes the club out of fanclub doesn't it?
Just a thought;
Warmest regards as always,

Unfortunately when an artist meets with immense success this is bound to happen.  Shania has sold 70 million or so CDs since 1993.  Trying to run a down home fan club with friends and / or family went by the boards as soon as TWIM started selling like hotcakes unfortunately.  It was fun while it lasted.

Lots of huge, huge stars interact with the fans nomatter what their level of success. Shania just never found a need to connect with the fans. I bet she doesn't even care how much fans buy her next album.
She even said that she doesn't like making any appearances for her fans unless she has something to sell them and promote.
I know of many big stars who actually write a blog every once in a while to their fans on myspace and tell them whats up with their career and what to expect.

In 10 years what has she done to connect with the fans, that is a whole decade. She never even attended fan fair once in a decade. There is always an excuse.
I am not here to kiss butt, I am just telling it like it is.

That's possibly the reason why Shania has spent so much time doing the things she has always wanted to just lately, since there's going to be very little time to do that when the promo starts for the new album.  And that means, she won't be able to tootle off to NYC, Florida and Paris whenever she feels like it, as she'll have her work cut out.

I think you would feel more comfortable at the shaniaforums where nobody can have an opinion and they talk about  how pretty her hair is.
You sound like you worship her too much and you hate anyone  having an opinion that is not positive of her.
Get a grip, she made money off her fans, she needs her fans, and we fans can have any opinion that we please without you trying to bully someone into your thoughts.

I think you belong in your own little fantasyland where no one questions your judgment or words but that is neither here nor there.

I think this is Tommy's playground and we play by his rules.

You keep trying to tell me where to go.

I find that strange coming from someone who is so openminded and outspoken.

I would think your bullying posts deserve censure but again this is Tommy's world and he needs folks like you at times to attract attention and draw the crowds.

If you like her hair so much have at it.

lol!!! you try repeating everything I said.
It is very sad that an older person like you can't take others opinions, instead you bully and slander people.
Don't be starting fights on these boards again, maybe set an example as an older man.

You might wish to consider changing your writers.

"Mega global icon" is one of their bad lines.

There's always two sides to an arguement. Kevy just puts across an alternative view which is not tolerated elsewhere.

I'm not a cheerleader for him, I just find his contary views interesting.

I can be very philosophical when I'm lagging.biggrin

We know you like lying and twisting what I say because it bothers you some agree with me.
I have always said Shania is a great talent that with the collaboration with Mutt lange made her one of the biggest stars in history.
Mutt was and will always be a huge part in her success. It was the collaboration that made her so successful.
Now time to move and get a life and stop bringing up old posts or making up lies about what I said.
