According to MTV, VH1, CMT and AOL, there is a new Shania album titled The First Time...For The Last Time scheduled to be released on March 24. However it looks like it's another one of those "pre-Shania" CDs like Send It With Love (same Renaissance label), Beginnings or The Limelight Sessions. You can pre-orderThe First Time...For The Last Time from CD Universe.

Chris,You honestly think that this is new Shania music? It isn't her label and it isn't new songs by her and she isn't promoting it. This cd has nothing at all to do with Shania.
When Shania has a new cd announcement then her label,Mercury, will announce it months before any cd being released. And there will be big build up with buzz and her lead off single at least 2 months before any cd.
This cd is from the Renaisannce label which has nothing to do with Shania at all and she has no connection with it.
I have no idea why Tommy posted this since this is not a new Shania cd from her label or Shania and the people who are selling this cd are just trying to make money off of Shania's name.
Honestly,I have no idea who / what to believe anymore. I guess I'm like so many others grasping at straws waiting desperately for something.
I've actually got to the point where I took the Greatest Hits CD out of my car and replaced it with Taylors new CD, "Fearless". She's good. I like her, but she's not Shania.
Shania is the only singer that I truly can hear over and over again and not get sick of. Even Carrie Underwood is good, but she's not something I want to listen to over and over.
So I'll keep waitng. My local DJ e-mailed me back and said it looked "fishy" to him too.

Heavy sigh

I agree, it has been over 6 years since any new album from Shania and it is frustrating hoping and getting let down again. But Shania could end this all right now and tell her fans the truth and not hide behind her label and management who lie for her. All Shania has to do is give her fans some hope or words that can reassure them of new music soon but she has not done that. For all we know she can be concentrating on her love live while us gullable fans actually believe she is working on a new album. But then again the political thing to say from her label is that she is working on a new album like they have said the last half decade. We don't know the truth and Shania doesn't think we deserve the truth.
It really made me realize what real artists are when I saw Bruce Springsteen at the superbowl yesterday. He is 60 yearold and loves to perform for his fans and is a real artist who shows respect for his fans. Maybe we should all forget about Shania since she is doing a good job of trying to make us forget. It is just us die hard fans who keep hanging on for some news. The rest of the world or public don't care and think she has retired long ago.
Here is the tracklist. The songs are the same as Send It With Love, Beginnings and The Limelight Sessions.
Tracklist: 1. All Fired Up...No Place To Go 2. Wild And Wicked 3. Heart Is Blind, The 4. For The Love Of Him 5. Bite My Lip 6. Two Hearts One Love 7. Luv Eyes 8. Send It With Love 9. It's Alright 10. Hate To Love 11. Lost My Heart 12. Don't Give Me That 13. Rhythm Made Me Do It 14. Half Breed 15. I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore 16. Love 17. It's Alright 18. For The Love Of Him

I don't see the point in them keep re-issuing her early material, when she was then known as Eilleen. For those interested in her demo stuff, they have got at least Beginnings, Wild & Wicked or the Limelight Sessions.

It sounds like you need to forget her and move on to more positive endeavours mi amigo.

Hey guys, This is what I found on the Wal-Mart website. According to the website it will be 2 discs remastered deluxe edition. Also will not be released until April 21, 2009. Here is the track listing.
The first one that was released in 2000 may have sold well as Shania was still big at that time off the back of COO. Fans would have brought it on her name alone without knowing it was old material.

I think everyone should go out and buy it even if you already have it a dozen times. If we could use this to get her attention that would be cool. I think big sales on this album would get her attention and let her know that we miss her and are still here and waiting for new music. Maybe she needs this as proof that she still has fans who will support her no matter what. Let's make it happen. Warmest regards as always, Tonto
