She said in her last note, she's been travelling to exotic places and Dubai is no exception. And we do know that she's been deep sea diving for the first time and is probably trying other water sports.

True. We will never know the truth. I know that a lot of people after a divorce (especially the man) do all sorts of new and "crazy" things that leave people saying, "I never thought he/she would do that, say that, wear that...." etc.

I have always thought it extremely odd the way Mutt was NEVER with her. Privacy is one thing, but he seemed to have a pathology. So sad and horrific that during all these times when he wanted "privacy" that he was not truly alone after all


 So perhaps the Shania we see now is her true self and she has been stifled all these years.

But I read somewhere where she herself said that she and Mutt would hop trains all the time and go different places and do things on a whim so this does not really make sense to say that he stifled her.  It is very confusing this situation as I do not believe we will ever know all the details to figure it out.  And this article is dated a month ago so it would be around the end of May.  The photos of her in Egypt were taken at the first of the month so does that mean they spent an entire month there.  What does Fred do for a living again.  I have heard two different stories doe he make clocks with his own business or does he work for Nestle's making chocolate.  I heard he was an executive but how is he getting so much time off and what about his own daughter.  Wonder how she feels knowing he is spending so much time with Eja? Lots of unanswered questions.  Maybe her new letter/blog will answer some of them but I doubt she will mention him as the public opinion of their trip in December was not too favorable she seems to want to keep him out of the spotlight now.  Seeing as how he was with her at the Swiss Gala and was never photographed with him.  Odd behavior to say the least.  Just my thoughts.

It was written in National Enquirer that due to Swiss laws Frederic can't see his daughter more than 1 time in two weeks so it's not his fault then that he can't see her.

But I would think that unless there is a lot of animosity between the parties that this arrangement would not be adhered to.  Unless they are being petty with each other then Fredric probably would have unlimited access.  Just like here.  At first parents are angry and hurt and almost seem to use the children to try hurt each other by not allowing them to see them or only allowing what custody argreement is but lots of times after time has passed and anger and hurt fades the parents realize that this is not about them but what is best for the kids in this situation and they ease up on the visitations.  I would think that by now that would be the case with these two but I may be wrong.  Also seeing as how it seems Marie Ann was the one who left Fredric he should be the one who is angry and hurt not her so it would seem logical that Marie Ann wouldn't have a problem with Fredric seeing her more often.  Just my thoughts.

The kids always suffer to some degree when parents get divorced. Despite all the psycho babble that kids will be okay, there is going to be some hurt that mom and dad are not together any longer. Parents try to make their guilt less when they say the kids are "better off."

They don't say she took him there this time. They say she attended it twice and once with Eja, so the second time which was in the end of May she was there with Frederic because in the beginning of this article they don't mention Eja being there with them in Dubai.

In the beginning of the article they mentioned Shania and Frederic shopping together. Eja may just not have gone shopping with them.
Do you think that she could have left her 7-year old son alone somewhere in foreign country and gone shopping with her friend? I think she would have taken Eja with her.
