I think what it means that Elvis has been gone for 35 years and fans have never forgotten about him and his estate still make billions.

I agree the music industry has changed a lot over the years and I don't see it getting any better.

I dont think she is being very realistic, it feels like she is milking this to stay famous whilst not putting out music, possibly she now realizes she can not make music without Mutt Lange, in the same way her orignial album, she was told she was not a good enough writer to have her own songs on there.

I can understand the skepticism, but when you deal with legalities in a corporate setting, things can take time, especially when your business partner is your spouse. What people don't understand is that these things can take years to settle. She probably can't talk about it due to confidentiality clauses. As fans we want new music now, but it's not as simple as putting together a band and a song. For starters, something has to be done about the songs she wrote with Mutt for the album that was never released. If she wrote new songs after her separation (2008) then 2011 would be about the right time that she would release new material, if that is her intention. She just finalized her divorce a few months ago and I don't think it's smart to resume a full time career with that thorn on your side. Shania has always been a sensible woman.

She does have a right to a personal life. There are many people in music who are absent for almost a decade because they wanted to live a normal life and didn't want the fame to be in the way. Shania entertains us with her music, but that is work for her. It's fun work, but work nevertheless. I think if one were to look at her personal history before she became a global name, one would see that she is a small town girl who desperately wanted to be successful. When she attained the success that she wanted she bowed out. People's histories define them, not their successes.

It is frustrating for fans to not hear new music. I respect that she hasn't released crap new music ASAP due to popular demand. She has always been defined by releasing big and expensive projects. Those need to be backed up by great music.

Her biography can go either way. At one point she said she'd never do it, but changed her mind. Today's music landscape has made it compulsory for celebrities to build a cult of personality in order to lure people to purchase their products. Reality shows are the best example. Shania's doing a middle aged version of a reality show in order to involve people in her life and get people to remember who she was at one point. This is a savvy way to go about a comeback. If Shania released a new album without reintroducing herself to her audience she would flop or sell very modest units. These days Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Katy Perry are the leading ladies in pop. At 45 Shania knows she cannot compete in the same way a 25 year old would or else she'd look desperate and ridiculous. She has taken a Good Housekeeping approach.

I'm interested in what she has to say about Mutt. I don't think she should always be the long suffered ex-wife. It would be interesting to see her gritty side. Good girls don't hold the public's attention for long anyways. As for her son, kids aren't stupid. If Eja has seen his parent's argue in private it shouldn't be traumatic that his mother writes a book about his dad provided she doesn't trash him too much. He did help to make her career after all. I suspect that there was abuse in Shania's marriage and maybe this is why she may feel so attached to the project. Perhaps there may have been emotional, psychological and even physical abuse. Who knows? I find it creepy that she said that she wanted to document her life before it is over. There must be something in her life that makes her ponder about her death. It may her parents death, an illness she carries, Mutt may have wanted to harm her or she could be morbidly obsessed with death. We won't know...Stay tuned.

Shania Twain to Reveal Details of Divorce, Childhood in New Tell-All

Shania Twain will divulge details about the darker times in her life, including her divorce and tough childhood, in a new autobiography due out in 2011.

The Grammy-winning songstress plans on opening up about the struggles she endured in order to achieve success in the male-dominated world of country music, describing her book as "an honest and complete account of my life, in my own words."

Twain says that she feels a pressing need to tell her story before it's too late. "There have been moments in my life I was concerned by the reality that tomorrow would never come," she wrote in a statement released by the memoir's publisher, Atria Books. "Recently I experienced one of those moments to an intensity that brought on a sudden urgency to document my life before I ran out of time," she said.

2011 is shaping up to be a banner year for Twain. She is also set to debut a new reality series on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Read the following statement and some of the comments of other posters and I really think some people are over analyzing Shania based on comments that leave too much unsaid. There are not enough details in these statements and people seem in my opinion to be jumping to conclusions.

Twain says that she feels a pressing need to tell her story before it's too late. "Recently I experienced one of those moments to an intensity that brought on a sudden urgency to document my life before I ran out of time," she said.

I read the underlined statement and what came to my mind was when she was traveling to Canada for the Olympic torch run and she was in that white out. You know she posted about how they were all traveling and could not see the car ahead of them hardly and people were sliding off the roads and were stranded overnight and all that. It was a terrible storm and they were travelling right in the middle of it. Maybe this is one of those moments she talking about. Maybe that is why she thinks she needs to get her story in her words out there for people to know...especially with all the speculation about what has really gone on with her for the last 10 years or so...or in other words her marriage to Mutt. I am sure that what she writes will be painfully honest but yet not disgrace her or Mutt for Eja's sake. I can't see Shania hurting anyone like that though she would have every right to do so with what has seemingly been done to her by Mutt. But her trashing Mutt is not something I see her doing. So far she has been nothing but classy in the way she has handled everything and I do not see that changing...from the blogs she has posted I think that the biography will be amazing...she has a very profound way of writing which for me says so much more about the woman behind all the fame and fortune and the public personna that we have been given or sold by the press and also by Shania herself...she has always let the mystery of who she really is be a big part of her personna...but in her writing she does not hide so well or at least that is how I see it... much more to her than anyone really knows...her power lies in the words she writes.

I was watching CMT Insider a while ago and they mentioned the news about Shania along with her quote about the book,and they mentioned that her rep said that what shania meant with "running out of time" is reaching the age her parents were when they died. I hope that helps.

SHANIA Twain is planning to have the “last laugh” with her new memoir!

Sources say the singer’s explosive tell-all will dish the dirt on her relationship with ex-husband Robert “Mutt” Lange.

Lange famously cheated cheated on Twain with the superstar’s best pal and former house manager Marie-Anne Thiebaud.

“Shania is going to have the last laugh,” an insider told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

Amazon often puts release date estamations on their website. I wouldn't take this as fact that April 5 is definitely the day. I've seen these advance listings of release dates be wrong many times before.

Sorry but I dont believe Angie knows and as she never replies when we ask her then I think she isnt in the know at all. I suspect she asked if she could voluntarily run a myspace and Facebook site as a fan in their name and they agreed as nobody there had the inclination to do it. She doesnt know anything more than any of us do, where was she when the news about Shania not having any management for so long was unknown? She is a dedicated fan who does this for free but I dont believe she has access to Shania or her news any more than other fans do.

This was posted on the Shania Twain North America Fan Club message board:

HLN just showed a quick news video on Shania's autobiography: it's a massive book! They were saying that the publisher has been caught by surprise by the number of copies already pre-ordered: over 310,000! They were showing copies of the biography off the presses without any cover yet...but the book must be at least 800 pages by looking at it..!!

Amazon.com listed the book as having 352 pages.

The Kindle is an electronic. paperless reading device made by Amazon. Kindle books are versions of the books that are available only for the Kindle. So in order to read a Kindle edition you MUST have the Kindle device.

Sarah Palin had her work cut out for her as hundreds of fans hit Borders in Upper Kirby for a few seconds of face time and a signed copy (or copies) of her new book America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag.

It was just after 11 a.m. when the first Palin fans emerged from an endless, snaking line with signed books in hand. "18 hours! It was worth it!" they whooped about the wait as the crowd applauded.

Palin herself seemed energetic and engaged, asking people about their businesses and cooing over babies. Her apple green jacket popped against the red Borders backdrop for a combo that was either Christmas-y or garish, depending on who you asked. Her outfit might have been perfect politician polish, but her four-inch black stiletto sandals winked at a less-buttoned-up Sarah.

Palin's signing was hectic, though more relaxed than the Secret Service-heavy signing by George W. Bush just a couple weeks ago at Barnes & Noble. People deposited all phones, cameras and purses when they entered the holding area immediately around Palin and the press were cordoned off 10 feet from the former governor and forbidden to ask questions.

(Even "What do you think about all these Houstonians thinking it's cold today?" I would have loved to hear her opinion on that.)

When either Borders or Palin's people suspected someone was shooting video, Shania Twain's greatest hits were cranked up to prevent the press outlets from using the footage with sound.

Members of the crowd described themselves as unabashed Palin fans, with Jonathan Reazin of Houston declaring he was "all wee-wee'd up" to meet her (we think that means excited), in part because his Palin-loving colleague couldn't make it. But even among the fans, opinions on Palin's political future were mixed.

Todd Killenger said he thought Palin should "definitely" run for president, while Elizabeth Lott had a more circumspect view.

"We were just talking about that. I would like it if she ran, I'm all for it, but there may be too many people with a negative opinion of her. It comes down to balancing what you want against who's going to win," Lott said.

At the bottom of the Borders stairs a second Palin celebrity emerged, posing for photos with fans and handing out line markers/bookmarks. To our surprise it wasn't Bristol, the recent headline-making Dancing With The Stars finalist. It was 16-year-old Willow Palin, whose only claim to fame so far is being the butt of a bad David Letterman joke and calling her classmates homophobic slurs on Facebook, as well as 9-year-old cutie Piper. But when you're a Palin, I guess fame follows you.

According to Amazon, Palin's book is still behind Bush's memoir, Decision Points in sales. But if this crowd is the judge, that will not be the case for long.
