Has anyone heard Shania's new song on the radio yet? If not my facebook page of shania is plan this weekend to call all the radio station and ask them to play her song.!
I have heard her about 3 or 4 times but the DJ's have been very negative towards the song so I don't think I will be hearing it again. She won on the first night of the new music "catfight" on my local radio station but lost to a horrible redneck song the next day. She needs to abandon country music - it has totally changed. You have to sing about beer or tractors, hunting or freedom to have a country hit on the radio. She is so above any of that! She is way to classy to associate herself with that stuff.

I agree country music has changed it's changed to keep up with today's younger generation and they love to party and drink. I'm not a fan of Kenny Chesney for this reason. He's always singing about drinking. I will admit though that I do like some of his ballads but still I would say 99% of his songs are about drinking and partying.
At least Taylor Swift can write songs that aren't about drinking and partying all the time. I really respect her writing...she's very talented...singing she is OK but her writing is way better.
There was a time when country music was good and the singers talked about a variety of blue collar topics such as the frustrations of working and raising a family, city life versus country life and hanging out with your buddies. Love was talked about and there was a respectability and honesty in their delivery, even the bad boys were respectable. Now, some country music has turned into white trash music (you know getting drunk and partying ALL the time and acting like a fool). There is still class in country, but it is real hard to find. Taylor Swift, Sugarland and Lady Antebellum are the few contemporary acts who show class and their music isn't always the most country sounding. I still like Shania and would prefer 'Today' over a drinking song. I'm a man and like to have my drinks, but there's more to life than booze and getting plastered. There's way too much product placement in country music; excessive brand name dropping grates on me and shows a lack of imagination'. Makes me wonder if some of these 'artists' are on Phillip Morris', Anheusuer Busch's or any other corporation's payroll.

I found it strange Shania was featured drinking Coke in her TV mini series.

Just my opinion.
Warmest regards as always,

I think most young folks enjoy those things - it is not something that just happened in the current generation. You forgot smoking.
Look I just post this because I want shania song to be a hit without Mutt so my facebook group about shania we our going to call radios and ask them to play her song if you want you can do it to.
If it is going to be a hit I will be amazed and happy for her.
The new Billboard charts came out yesterday but since "Today Is Your Day" was just released Sunday we will have to wait until next week's charts on Thursday to see where the song debuted. Hopefully it's somewhere on the Hot 100 and Top Country songs chart.

I don't have OWN and refuse to pay extra in my cable bill just for Why Not? when I can wait for the DVD or watch YouTube for some episodes. Shania has used corporate sponsors in the past, but I don't recall that the products she pushed in the past are associated with alcohol or tobacco. I know soda's bad for you, but only fools will drink that stuff like water; the biggest fools are parents who feed it to their infants and kids.

If you do not drink 8 glasses of water daily (roughly a half-gallon) you are missing out on the cheapest simplest best way to stay healthy and happy.
