Reba McEntire Joins Shania Twain As Top-Selling Female Country Artist! She's joining some pretty exclusive company! As of this week, Reba McEntire has just become the second female country artist to surpass the 30 million mark in album sales (U.S.)! And although Shania Twain holds the #1 spot with 34,175,000, Reba has actually been topping the charts since 1981 - before the Nielsen SoundScan even started tracking album sales for Billboard in 1991! So someone had a pretty unfair advantage, if you ask us! But hey! It's even MORE impressive that Reba could hit this mark, especially given Shania's head start! They don't make sense. Reba began her career in 1981 while Shania technically started in 1993. I'm so glad for Reba. I really love her, she's such a genuine person, very down-to-earth in everything she does. I hope her new sit-com will be picked up by ABC. __________________
