I have been listening to Shania for 20+ years now and finally realized that there is a lyric glitch in her hit "Any Man of Mine". In the official lyrics she sings "Well any man of mine better disagree, When I say another woman's lookin' better than me" ... but if you listen to the song she sings "Well any man of mine better disagree, When I say another woman's lookin' thinner than me". I guess its pretty trivial but am I hearing it wrong has anybody else ever noticed this and wonder why the official lyrics are different. Maybe to avoid backlash due to the whole body image issue?
When I listen to the song I hear: "looking better than me" . I do not see why the lyrics should be altered since there are more lyrics in her songs that send the "be thin" message. Or well, make fun of the idea that thinner is better. Some examples: From "Any Man Of Mine" : When a last year's dress is just a little too tight. And the entire song "What A Way To Wanna Be"
