As it was reported back in February, Shania parted ways with Jason Owen's Sandbox Management.
Now it appears she has signed with Maverick Management based in Burbank (Los Angeles), California. Click HERE to go to Shania's artist page.
According to Wikipedia, Maverick Entertainment Company was orginally founded by Madonna in 1992. In 1998, Guy Oseary took control of the company as Chairman and CEO. As of 2014, the company was revived as a management group founded by Oseary in partnership with Live Nation Entertainment. It consists of Oseary and other recording artist managers Ron Laffitte, Caron Veazey, Gee Roberson, Cortez Bryant, Larry Rudolph, Adam Leber, Scott Rodger and Clarence Spalding. All nine managers and their companies joined and rebranded as "Maverick" on October 17, 2014.

I wonder why the change in management? I always thought Shania Twain had a good relationship with Jason Owen. New management and switched over to capital records. I hope these are smart moves. What you think Tommy any opinions?

It's hard to say because we don't know the circumstances and who parted ways with who. Did Shania part ways with Sandbox and Mercury because she wanted a "fresh start" and thought a new management and record label would promote her and the new album better? Or was Sandbox and Mercury tired of Shania dragging her feet with new music? Whatever the case, hopefully the changes work out for the best.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think Shania wants to part ways as hard as she can from everything that's connected to the "Mutt era" of her career.
She can't avoid to sing the songs she created with him because that's where her success comes from and plus she doesn't have any other songs yet.
To me, now she wants to create a new career from scratch to prove she can do it even without Mutt.
It's finally official. Maybe this means we'll have an album announcement soon.
