I'm pretty sure this is the reason why the single and the album aren't out yet. Her record label isn't happy with the final product and maybe there isn't a song strong enough to be the lead single. Even if it's strange, because she has worked with great producers for this album. I mean, Ed Sheeran is produced by Jake Gosling and his album is selling like hell
That has to be the reason. Since day 1, I've been skeptical about the album. Then Shania started talking about how different, dark, organic it's going to be and that really put red flags up for me. Let's be honest, if songs are not "radio-friendly", albums have no chance!

Yes I agree. I guess a late summer release (August) could guarantee her to top the charts. Sales are statistically low in summer.
Plus, she's "old" for the radio. Nowadays they don't play the oldies like before (Reba, Dolly, Faith). So it will be difficult for her even with a strong song... without one, it will be even more.
I can't really believe the album is hold back by the record label for being bad. With those producers and her songwriting skills it can't be that unsellable, right? Also the record label made an announcement for a 2017 release, if they really didn't believe in the project they wouldn't have said anything I think. A lot has to do with release dates of other artists as well. You don't release a new album in the same week as Adele or Justin Bieber for instance. So I think Matteo's point of a summer release sounds plausible, definitely as she has to score mainly in the adult contemporary category.
Let's hope that a promotional/lead single will be released right before stagecoach.
I was just reading an article on Matthew Koma (one of Shania's producers) and it talked about a new song of his called "Hard To Love". Previously, it was reported that this was one of Shania Twain's new songs on her upcoming album. I don't think that's one of Shania's new songs, I think its Matthew Koma's song.

That was my thought exactly. I am still not 100% convinced at all that Shania's new album is called "Triumphant". Because of that rumor, some articles published said that "Triumphant" was the lead single off of the album. I don't believe any of that. I think Robin pulled that title from the December article. I don't think its called "Triumphant" and clearly "Hard To Love" is NOT one of Shania's new songs. I do not place my faith in Robin Leach. I'm almost positive that we don't know the title for the new album.
