Tommy, is there anyway we can access her tour records without paying for them on Pollstar Pro?

I think, we should at least wait until the end of the tour as some dates boxoffice may be published in the near future by Billboard.

Like Tanya said, Billboard is probably our best bet as far as a free website. I just don't know if they will be posting any more of the U.S./Canada boxscores.

I translated the concert review below from Czech into English using an online translator.

Shania Twain thrills Czech audience with her hits and goodwill

By Jana Kloučková | iReport | October 7, 2018

Shania Twain made her first visit to the Czech Republic. The local premiere of the Canadian singer met with success and did not fail even the frontrunner Bastian Baker, who had joined in two duets during a concert to the main star of the evening.

Bastian Baker did not feel in the desired position, apparently as any frontman. Still, he managed to make contact with the unusually warm audience, even thanked Czech and met (on the frontman) with a very positive response. So he set up good ground for the main star of the evening.

Shania Twain did not let the fans wait too long and appeared around nine o'clock. Her entrance was unconventional - she did not appear on the podium immediately, but came from the right side of the O2 arena and still behind the giant hit We Will Rock You by the British band Queen, whose rhythm could then be heard by the audience several times during the evening.

From the beginning, the singer charmed her beauty, the noble and above all the joy that she had released her songs. Twain is not an interpreter, whose glory would be built on scandals, but the stock of hits is decent in her case. The show began singing on the podium by Life's About To Get Good from the latest album Now. Subsequently, the setlist offered just one hit after another. For example, Come On Over, Don't Be Stupid, That Don't Impress Me Much, and more. No ordinary radio listener would be lost in the songs.

The singer's weakness was, unfortunately, her main instrument, her voice. It is important to take into account her age (53 years) and the dysphonia, but sometimes the sound of her vocal was not quite as pleasant as it used to be "in the old days". This lack was known especially in slower songs. Yet, while You're Still The One, you get all the visitors. It is only a shame that the singer did not draw from the audience a single Czech, but Slovakia, Hungarian and two Scots.

A heterogeneous audience composed of different nationalities was ready to cheer at all times, but most of the members of the security guard met retiring to the seats. However, visitors tried to appreciate the singer with at least applause. He also earned her Shana Twain, her drummer, who was one of the most prolific elements of the supporting band, and had a lot of attention from the beginning.

Overall, the Czech country pop country icon premiered better than expected. At the end, she gave up her other significant hit Man! I Feel Like A Woman! and thanked her amazing audience.

Setlist: Life's About To Get Good, Come On Over, Up!, Poor Me, Don't Be Stupid, That Don't Impress Me Much, Any Man Of Mine, Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under, Honey I'm Home, I'm Alright, Ka-Ching (Interlude), You're Still The One, More Fun, Music Video Journey, From This Moment On, I'm Gonna Getcha Good, Party For Two, Swingin 'With My Eyes Closed, (I'm Outta Here!), Blue Storm (Interlude), Man! I Feel Like A Woman!

Since Pollstar's stats are different than Billboard (which I've been charting), I think I will wait until the end of the tour and see how many boxscores Billboard posts. Then I might pay for Pollstar for the rest of the boxscores.

Pollstar stats are more reliable. Those are the stats released by the box offices of the venues who are more independent. Billboard stats are released by the tour operators who want things to look better than they are. Having said that, 9 out of 10 stats are the same.

Fast schon zu perfekt

Shania Twains Hochglanzshow in München

Passend zu "Up!

Im hoch geschlitzten Kleid zeigt Twain Haut und Hits wie "Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You)" und "That Don't Impress Me Much" von der 1997er-LP "Come On Over", die gleich mehrere Rekorde verbuchen kann: meistverkauftes Country-Musik-Album, meistverkauftes Studio-Album eines weiblichen Acts und meistverkauftes Album aller kanadischen Sängerinnen und Sänger.

Rough translation (with Google)

Almost too perfect

Shania Twains glossy show in Munich

Munich (DK) The leopard pattern sets the tone.

For example, on the T-shirts at the merchandise stand where even the long leopard gloves worn by Shania Twain on the cover of the current CD "Shania Now" are on sale. The striking pattern also adorns the huge stage curtain. But it remains in the evening at the end only the big cats look. The Canadian herself seldom musically shows the claws and delivers an almost too polished high-gloss show.

But first of all, the Swiss singer-songwriter Bastian Baker proves his courage when he appears alone in front of the curtain and gives his numbers to the best. But in about half an hour Baker talks a lot and exaggerates with animations, including an Oktoberfest part with "Zicke zacke.
To "We Will Rock You" from the band takes Shanai's drummer on a small stage in the back of the well-filled Olympiahalle place and the beat of the Queen's Hits. In addition, Diva Twain appears in the long silver dress with glitter cowboy hat and steps down the ranks and through the arena.

Despite the hat, the first piece "Life's About To Get Good" is less country than flawless Pop, which is accompanied by bright and colorful colors on various gigantic cubes. In keeping with "Up!" From 2002, the multiple Grammy winner climbs one of these cubes on a ladder, is secured with a belt and escapes to the top. The cuboids, which serve as video and color projection surfaces again and again, also offer space for the other musicians. Guitarists, violinists and drummer live here at different heights.

In the high-slit dress Twain shows skin and hits like "Do not Be Stupid (You Know I Love You)" and "That Do not Impress Me Much" from the 1997 LP "Come On Over", which set several records can: best-selling country music album, best-selling studio album of a female act and best-selling album of all Canadian singers.

What at first seems a bit too much like glossy revue without great emotion, but still warm. And fannah, as the singer, who frequently changes her outfits, brings a group of young girls from Munich, Würzburg and Bayreuth to hugs, small talk and selfies on the small platform. Emotional is also the small journey through earlier music videos, which looks at the Canadians with a glass of champagne and a remote control in the back of the hand behind the curtain. This is always good thanks to its transparency for all sorts of (leopard) effects.

For two duets, the Swiss support act may return in the Oktoberfest look, before Shania Twain brings the concert with band after almost two hours sovereign to end.

AZ-Konzert-Kritik Shania Twain in der Olympiahalle: Tigerin, Glitzer, Cowboyhut

Dominik Petzold07.10.2018 - 18:22 Uhr

Life’s About To Get Good".

Sie singt die Ballade "You’re Still The One" von ihrem Album "Come On Over" von 1997.

AZ concert review Shania Twain in the Olympiahalle: tigress, glitter, cowboy hat

Dominik Petzold , 07.10.2018 - 18:22 clock
Choreographed and sterile, approachable and rapt in constant change: Shania Twain in the Olympiahalle.

Can one be unreachable star and close to the people at the same time? Anyway, in the Olympiahalle, Shania Twain tries hard to do this balancing act, right from the start: She enters the arena via the side steps, walks through the ranks in a glittering dress and a glitter cowboy hat and claps the fans on "We Will Rock You" drum Way edge off.

When she has reached the stage, she says a few words, and starts the meticulously choreographed bombast show with "Life's About To Get Good". A nice promise, only: Where are the musicians who are to sweeten the life of the audience with her? Only at the second number, fittingly "Come On Over", a few pass - or are lifted on the huge cuboid in the middle of the stage. It then splits into two cubes, which are at the same time three-dimensional LED screens and stage platforms for the musicians. And three more cubes still float from the ceiling.

Sometimes Shania also sings live to full playback

These are rearranged on each song - and the dancers and musicians as well. Sometimes they go here, sometimes they settle there. The poor drummer is constantly pushed back and forth with drums, once she escapes on a pedestal to just below the hall roof. Sometimes the musicians can only be seen as video projections on the cubes. A total of four are on stage, but they are not a band: parts of the music are playback, for example, the bass. Sometimes Shania also sings live to full playback. This is puzzling with such a large production, the music becomes unnecessarily sterile, the show too. Once the LED cubes move Shania to a bar where she searches for "More Fun". In the live impressive "That Do not Impress Me Much" her tiger pattern costume fits perfectly with the corresponding background images - it is one of more than half a dozen changing outfits. In "Any Man Of Mine" she wears to transparent rock again Cowboy Hat: With this and two other songs she reminds of her country roots - the few spectators in the Western Dress will have been happy.

Then she sits with acoustic guitar on a small stage in the middle of the hall, behind her a guitar case that has been lovingly-voiced with dozens of stickers, certainly by design professionals. She sings the ballad "You're Still The One" from her album "Come On Over" from 1997. AC / DC Producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, her then husband, has written it with her and produced it for her is the best selling album of a singer ever. And with these catchy and sophisticated mainstream pop rock songs, that's no wonder. But they are also worlds better than many other songs, even as the newer pieces of "Now", Shania Twain's first album in 15 years.

Shania Twain seeks closeness to the fans

During her detour to the center of the hall, she then seeks to be close to her fans. "I'd love to meet some of you personally," she says. So she invites six ladies to take selfies, hug Shania and be careful not to fall off the tiny stage. "That's my biggest fear," says Twain. Then she walks through the rows back to the main stage, where even a 14-year-old in a fan pullover is waiting for her. After a brief, shy banter, he kneels at Shania's request, and she climbs over his thigh to the piano, where she sings the next song.

But felt as long as this bath takes in the fan crowd, as lightning fast Shania Twain is then later disappeared again. With "Man! I Feel Like A Woman" she plays at the end of one of the biggest smashes of the evening, beckons briefly, while the band continues to play. If you look away for a moment, you will miss how it disappears wordlessly into the floor of the stage. The lights are on, the fans are still cheering, the star is gone.

Der Preis der Abwesenheit

Überdimensioniert: Shania Twain bringt einen Hauch Las Vegas in die Lanxess Arena Köln

Bericht vom 08.10.2018 in Köln, Lanxess Arena

Saloon-Country

Der rockige Touch verleiht "Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You)" ein faszinierendes neues Flair und auch das griffige Gitarrensolo in "That Don't Impress Me Much" ist energetisch und heizt das Publikum an.

In Deutschland hatte Shania Twain vier Top Ten Hits.

I Feel Like A Woman!" beendet eine spektakuläre Show, die 90 Minuten gute Unterhaltung bietet, aber keineswegs rundum begeistert.

The price of the absence

Oversized: Shania Twain brings a touch of Las Vegas in the Lanxess Arena Cologne

Report from 08.10.2018 in Cologne, Lanxess Arena

By Erik Winkes

It took 14 years for Shania Twain to return to Germany after her first tour. The "Now" tour is a mix of hits and new songs, which in most parts are exciting, but also leave a few question marks behind.

In the far from sold out Cologne Lanxess Arena, in which the upper ranks are suspended, the spectators eagerly await the big comeback of Shania Twain .

How does she sound today?

After Shania Twain said that she almost lost her voice years ago after a Lyme disease illness, a comeback was out of the question. How does she sound now, many years later?

Shania Twain did not know any fear of contact at her 2004 concert, and at least that has not changed. The march over the grandstand through the audience is typical for a star to touch. Apart from their music, this closeness to the audience has always been their big plus. In the course of the concert she gets fans on stage and takes selfies with them.

Country with rock

Already at the opening it becomes clear that Shania Twain sounds much more rocking live than on the studio recordings. Her voice still sounds powerful, but not as perfect as it was 14 years ago. The vocal color is a bit lower, but still has that special, distinctive sound.

The stage show is a spectacle of five video cubes, which regroup again and again and also serve as a tribune for the musicians. A touch of Las Vegas wafts through the Lanxess Arena. The mood is at a good level right from the beginning, although the slightly older audience is not as enthusiastic as it is used by younger visitors.

Saloon Country

The rocking touch gives "Do not Be Stupid" (You Know I Love You) "a fascinating new flair and also the catchy guitar solo in" That Do not Impress Me Much "is energetic and heats up the audience.

The atmosphere is quite different with "Any Man Of Mine". Now the music really sounds like classical country - the sound is dominated by Fiddlen and Shania Twain is in the black country dress on the stage. The atmosphere of a western saloon can be felt in the hall.

Also, "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?" sounds more like classical country, but is much faster and invites you to dance through its catchy rhythm. Almost all the spectators stand and clap as the mood reaches a first climax with "Honey, I'm Home". With the swelling guitars there are also first standing ovations.

The big question marks

Despite an overall good show, some aspects are not perfectly implemented, such as the song selection and the performance of various titles. Just as Shania Twain has been away from the stage for so long and apparently not many younger fans have come along, she should celebrate her big hits.

In Germany, Shania Twain had four top ten hits. So why does she burn "Ka-Ching!", Which is sung by the backing singers as an interlude, while she moves to the back second stage? Such a hit the audience want to hear from her own.

Even the mega hit "Forever And For Always" only runs as a recorded video in a short presentation of their video hits - the audience had certainly imagined otherwise. One can only speculate: Does not the state of her voice after the illness more?

Almost too perfect and very close to the original sounds, however, "I'm Gonna Getcha Good", although her voice has changed significantly. Was there any technical help with this song?

Acoustic song and duet fireworks

Despite some weaknesses, there are several big moments this evening. The acoustic version of "You're Still The One" stands out very well: just Shania Twain with guitar, beautiful and emotional. The dreamy ballad "From This Moment On" is also a vocal highlight.

Giant Enthusiasm triggers "Party For Two", a fast up-tempo song that Shania Twain originally sang with Mark McGrath and Billy Currington in 2004 and accompanied her support act Bastian Baker from Switzerland. The audience goes with enthusiasm, at "Swingin 'With My Eyes Closed," the fists go up to the rhythm.

Spectacular finale

With "Blue Storm", an instrumental bombast firework, it's the final. The dice pile up. On a cube stands the violinist, on the second highest cube in almost 10 meters height is now the mobile drum set.

The drummer whirls with full force, while down the two guitarists rock in front of the blue light tower at full throttle. The last song "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" ends a spectacular show that offers 90 minutes of good entertainment, but by no means totally thrilled.

The price of the absence

For a perfect show, Shania Twain would have to make the audience even more emotional by performing all their big hits. Actually, their music fits into the time: The modern country sound is cool, booming not only in the US, but also for years in the UK. There is much more, also in Germany.

Shania Twain could be a driving force in making modern country in Germany more popular. But due to their illness, it is especially lacking in permanent live presence. The empty upper rank in otherwise well-filled arena is a sign that the show is a bit oversized for Germany.

setlist

Life's About To Get Good / Come On Over / Up! / Do not Be Stupid (You Know I Love You) / That Do not Impress Me Much / Any Man Of Mine / Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under? / Honey, I'm Home / I'm Alright / Ka-Ching! (Interlude) / You're Still The One / More Fun / From This Moment On / I'm Gonna Getcha Good / Party For Two / Swingin 'With My Eyes Closed / (If You're Not In It For Love) I' m Outta Here! / Blue Storm (Interlude) / Man! I feel like a woman!

Concert review - Cologne

In German

Das Leben ist ein Country-Song

Shania Twain vermisst ihren Ehering.

„Man! I Feel Like a Woman!“, schmetterte Shania.

Rough translation with "Google"

Life is a country song

Shania Twain misses her wedding ring. She probably let him lie on the filing of her tour bus, lets the singer know her audience in the Lanxess Arena, as if one had just happened to meet in the train compartment. She has thrown herself into a metallically glittering evening gown with a waist-high slit, her stage consists of huge LED cubes that move up and down cables, sometimes the band, sometimes the dancers, sometimes lift the artist herself to heaven. And still always close, as befits a country star.

Even the first appearance is terrific populist: Just yet Queens irritated unavoidable stadium rammer "We Will Rock You" even rhythmically Challenged challenged to gossip, already appears Shania Twain inferior, passes by waving, smiling and posing for selfies the crowd, can be lifted into the interior , defiled in triumphal procession past the rows of seats like a presidential candidate in spe on the nomination party day. As if it were a scene from Robert Altman's movie "Nashville".

The smile keeps the 53-year-old skating equally over the entire distance of 100 minutes. Because the story she wants to tell here is about the light at the end of a long tunnel, a bit like the old joke question, what happens when you play a country song backwards: your partner, your truck and your dog come to you back. It's her first world tour in 14 years and the accompanying album "Now" is her first since 2002. At that time Twain was a megastar, her third studio work "Come On Over" from 1997 had sold so well, as no artist's album before, Anyway, nobody in the country genre could give her enough, not even Garth Brooks. But that's just a long time ago, for pop eternity for half an eternity, and now the supreme must be hung in Cologne, and when the singer sings her ballad "You're Still the One" on a small stage in the middle of the audience - just for adornment When she hits a black acoustic guitar, she wonders why 22 years have passed since she wrote the song.

The biography of the Canadian sounds like a backwards unwounded country song. She grew up in the poorest and most violent circumstances. In order to earn something for the family, she sang in bars at the age of eight; After midnight, when no alcohol was allowed to be served, she should keep the drunkards in the shop. When she was 22, her mother and stepfather were killed in a car accident and she became the breadwinner for her younger siblings. She owed her breakthrough to South African producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who had already transformed AC / DC and Def Leppard into stadium bands, and immediately understood the potential of the young singer. From then on, Twain and Lange wrote songs together and got closer in private, barely half a year after their first meeting, they were already married. A power-couple who conquered the charts with power chords and stories from the lives of ordinary people. "Man! I feel like a woman! "Shania smashed. But at some point the song was again in the right, tragic direction: After a Lyme disease she lost her voice. The most successful singer in the world could not sing anymore. Then she found out that her husband was cheating on her with her best friend - the matching song, Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?

It took Twain almost a decade to see light again. Like in a pleasant soap opera, she married the ex-husband of her fraudulent girlfriend, Swiss Nestlé manager Frédéric Thiébaud. Has completed the mandatory Las Vegas show residence. And had to watch as younger country stars followed their example, especially Taylor Swift of course.

Now her appearance is already a bit out of time: The animal print jersey with the floor-length panels that flutter under the stage blower, looks like Peggy Bundy shredded her dressing gown. Her voice lets her clearly underpinned by the playback. And the expensive videos of yore, in which she rides on exotic animals in front of exotic scenes, she now looks at together with the audience. Yes, she was at the top. But failure makes you human. And in country music, as we all know, it's about the perfect staging of the authenticity of people who are so authentic that they always miss the staging of a fox's tail.

Looks like Poor Me is gone too. She didn't performed it both in Cologne and Antwerp.
It's ridiculous to still call it "Now Tour"!

I think it says a lot about peoples' overall perception of the NOW album. This means only four songs from NOW remain in the setlist ("Life's About To Get Good", "I'm Alight", "More Fun" & "Swingin' With My Eyes Closed").

A girl who attended Shania's concert in Prague said that the public's reaction to Poor Me had been good.

But anyway I wonder what the next album will be like, if she records it at all. Or will she be the singer of her older stuff till the end of her days? She really needs to get back to her positive and grooving style because her fans want something catchy and uplifting - that's what she became famous and loved for.

Disappointing Shania Twain rarely knows how to touch fans with her songs

By Saskia Bosch | Trouw | October 12, 2018

REVIEW - 2 out of 5 stars

Who is the best-selling country artist of all time?  Carrie Underwood?  LeAnn Rimes?  You might think that.  But it is the Canadian Shania Twain, with more than a hundred million sold records.  It is not surprising that her name does not come to mind so quickly.  The singer has been out of the picture for many years.  Health complaints and a traumatic divorce ensured that Twain could not concentrate on her music for a long time.

But last she released an album for the first time in fifteen years ('Now') and in the context of her new tour she visited the Netherlands again for the first time in fourteen years.  In the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome, the swirling spring-in-the-field of yesteryear turned out to be an aged woman in long glittery robes.  Fine.  That did not have to stand in the way of a good concert.

But right away at the first songs, Twain sounded rather dull, as the whole show exuded a certain amount of caution.  It seemed as if the 53-year-old artist always had the handbrake on.  Vocally she sounded reasonable, but unfortunately it seemed that she did not sing all songs live.

What also did not help were the many costume changes, which took the pace out of the show.  And why did we have to watch old clips with Twain halfway through the show?  We did not come to Amsterdam for that, did we?  We can also do that on YouTube.

The most disappointing thing, however, was that Twain could rarely affect you with her songs.  A poor sound tuning and a pretty bombastic instrumentation ensured that even her most personal songs left you largely untouched.  So the old hit 'You're still the one', which Twain sat on a small stage between the audience, was one of the few songs where something of the sparkle of the former Twain could be heard.

Did not the Canadian do anything good at all?  Yes, she turned out to be a charming performer who pulled out all the stops to please her fans.  So she played many of her biggest hits.  And up to two times fans were allowed to come out on stage for a selfie, a hug and to tell what her music means to them.  They were feel-good moments enthusiastically received by fans, but they could not hide the fact that Twain's performance was not the triumphant return that had been hoped for.

Here are two reviews of the Amsterdam show, which are (much) more positive....

Metro review

Soundz review

I was the lucky guy who was invited up on stage by Shania (after just her 3rd song) with my friends in Antwerp and the 2 guys in Amsterdam are my best friend and his boyfriend (I attended the show with them and Shania recognized me from the night before and gave me a big smile... while I was pointing to my best friends to be asked up on stage with her, which she did! <3)..

Those were 2 VERY special nights..

Shania Twain is back: "Life's About To Get Good"

The country-pop icon is on tour for the first time in 15 years - delivering an impressive and elegant show in Hamburg.

By Birgit Reuther | Hamburger Abendblatt | October 14, 2018

Hamburg. If a pop star was not on tour for 15 years, the question is: what kind of people will go to the concert? In the case of Shania Twain - Countrypopikone and because of a Lyme disease long stage abstinence - the answer is: Just under 9,000 loyal fans, made chic, full of anticipation. Many came from Hamburg, but also from southern Germany and Scandinavia.

Two women with cowboy hats, in checked shirts and denim skirts are in the shopping mood at the merchandise stand. The Shania jacket with predator embroidery for 160 euros or rather for 30 euros the long gloves in leopard-look, trademark of the singer? The density of Shania shirts in the audience is high anyway. The portrait of the Canadian, five-time Grammy winner and one of the most successful solo artists in the world, emblazoned on beer and baby bellies. The atmosphere is relaxed and euphoric. Until then with the start of the show the magic of pop starts with full force. Everyday life is being replaced by something bigger, more glamorous, more emotional.

Shania Twain, a sparkle

In the middle of the hall, drummer Elijah Wood whirls on a pedestal. Heads and cameras are searching around. And then, from one of the side ranks, Shania walks down through the crowd to the main stage. The glitter of hat and dress reflects to the last corner. A sparkle. With a long security train. Everyone jumps up, cheering, beaming, filming, reaching for closeness. Goose bumps.

The set begins with Life's About To Get Good, a sugar-colored Powerpop number. The comeback song on their fifth, released in 2017 album "Now", which gives the current tour its name. And in the space of two hours, the 53-year-old leaves no doubt that life, with all his love and pain as she sings, is getting better and better.

With "Come On Over" follows a happy hit from the year 1997. The band rises from video cubes, flickering over the images of palm trees and mountains. Escapism is now.
An impressive and elegant stage show

When the guitar and the accordion take their game back for a moment, Shania's voice sounds especially warm, soft, dark, beautiful and strong. One would have wished even more of these pure moments in the course of the concert. But pop strives higher and higher. And so the star moves on one of the cubes to the rocking "Up" sky. How the show is an incredibly dynamic.

Shania and band as well as two backing singers and two dancers are constantly moving horizontally and vertically through the stage space. Dasein, it wants to be fully exploited. An impressive and at the same time elegant show, which repeatedly focuses on its main character in changing, always glittering robes.

The overpower "That Don't Impress Me Much"

Cool, strong and supple La Twain struts along the ramp. She dances and laughs, pushes Juchzer out and shakes her red mane. In rhythm with itself and the world. The most beautiful diva moment: As she repeatedly bravely poses in front of one of the fans to stomp "That Don't Impress Me Much" and her silky leopard dress blows voluminously. Long before terms such as "Mansplaining" and "Me Too" Shania Twain with this song at the end of the millennium has just bluntly clarified that the lords of creation may please shut down their ego a bit.

The men in the arena also celebrate this anthem. Everyone should have fun with Shania. That's why there are funny gimmicks like a kiss-cam in which couples shown on the screens are asked to kiss. And that's why the musical dramaturgy is extremely varied. From wild hard rock to lascivious pop. From the country part with twang, fiddle reinforcement, linedance and a lot of wink in songs like "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under" to the perfect starry kitsch with the melting "From This Moment On".

Shania Twain, the self-adhesive woman

As far as possible in the context of such a major event, Mrs. Twain repeatedly gives the approachable star: On the podium in the middle of the room she takes on a throne whose backrest consists of a hinged guitar case. Pretty. Flight still asks her - quite patience self-made woman - to tape to stick the wobbly micro, before she sings her ballad "You're Still The One" and then asks slightly hyperventilating fans for Selfie. Meanwhile, the other devotees keep dancing between the rows of chairs, singing and clapping. "Shania, I love you" is calling one. No cliché is left out, everything feels right and really beautiful.

Shania brings for two party songs Bastian Baker, the charm bolt from the pre-program, on the stage, and then finally sets with "Man! I Feel Like A Woman "to the brilliant finale. In this eternal earwig she sings the freedom and the right of a woman to have fun. Mission accomplished.

I translated the concert review below from Norwegian into English using an online translator.

Olso concert review Shania Twain: "Tacky" and enjoyable

As a video jukebox in a bar in the American countryside - with only Shania Twain songs. Except she is here! Now! More or less "live"!

By Morten Stale Nilsen | VG | October 16, 2018

It has been written - insightfully - that Shania Twain, 53, was the first to realize that the country public in the United States had gotten satellite dishes. Understood: They did not put in pickup trucks and chewed grass and shot on innocent passers-by, at least not all the time.

They watched the same TV shows and advertisements as people in the big metropoles, and thus had the same dreams as well: riding a camel in Egypt, for example wearing a soft chiffon. Tighty suit and suitcase in matching leopard pattern.

They dreamed of the same exotic destinations and the same expensive luxury brands as everyone else. Not least, they dreamed of looking like Shania Twain. A far from unreasonable, but predominantly unattainable dream. The Canadian artist was - and is - painfully beautiful.

She still knows how a woman makes an entrance too, out in the hall, up at the bench, sensational and unexpected, wearing a glittering dress and a cowboy hat. She speaks before she sings - "Hello, Oslo" - while her female drummer (a hard-wearing shock of blond hair) plays the distinctive rhythm figure from Queens "We Will Rock You".

There is an admission here. Many of Shania Twain's numerous hits from the glory days share the same rigid glamrock beat, unknown in country music before she appeared. When it comes to singing, it's unclear how much she's doing. I have seen enough "lipsyncing" to detect, through the video screens, that she does not do it in the ballads ("You're Still The One" and the vocal demanding "From This Moment On").

But hey - what do you want? A singing Shania or a dancing, audience-flinging and mid-singing-talking Shania? You can not get both.

The scene design is "state of the art" American tulle, taffeta, tant and fjas. The main element is five large hydraulic boxes, which are lifted up and down, giving Twain the opportunity to point out that life also goes up and down, and - as she sings in "Life's About To Get Good" - consists of joy and pain.

It's hard to argue so much with it, but some should have carried her - with the high heels - up the stairs behind one box. Goodbye, show some respect for the diva.

A Shania Twain "concert" is not a hundred percent like other concerts. First of all, it is with the singing. Secondly, it is with the music - much of it is also "in the box". Thirdly, she is interrupting the hit parade with a video vault in which she shows us excerpts from a bunch of her little hits.

Fourth, it's a matter of a drum solo or instrumental passage, usually perceived as a threat during a normal concert, something different on an evening with Shania Twain: namely an unprecedented promise of costume shift. This is in absolutely everyone's interest (my favorite was the speckled bodysuit. I'm a simple man).

I'm pretty sure she sings real in "That Do not Impress Me Much", at least part of it, and is impressed with how the audience receives her new, boring songs with courtesy and warmth. Her kindreds from ancient times are, if true, to be said as likely as possible. It's okay with some change.

A Norwegian woman - from Skarnes - comes up to Twain on the lill scene at the other end of the room towards the end. She rages, but suspects quickly, explains the talkative for her relationship with the star in excellent English. Grips the microphone and points to mom. Agreed game? Again: Who cares. It's touching such scenes in reality TV shows can be touching. They are 75% they are also cheating. They are 75% they are also cheating.

Twain chats with other audiences on their way to the main scene again. "From Consgvations," says one. "Gjøvik!", Says another. "This is so international, I love it," says Shania.

Her warming artist, Swiss Bastian Baker, wears a "sexy rock guitar" - her words, not mine - for "Party Of Two" and "Swingin 'With My Eyes Closed" before the confectionary is emptied in the form of "(If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here! "And" Man! I Feel Like A Woman! ». (Shania Twain songs were always a reviewer's worst nightmare).(Shania Twain songs were always a reviewer's worst nightmare).

It was not so "live" that something did, but it was fun and no one was disappointed. It was considerably more courteous than listening to her last album ("Now" from last year), and just the way it would have been if the Americans were allowed to join the Eurovision Song Contest.

So better.
