The song was written and produced by Mutt Lange, while additional lyrics were written by his then-wife Shania and Keith Scott. Shania Twain Sends an Amazing Birthday Shoutout to Brad Pitt and Yes, It Does Impress Us Much!

OK, so it's Brad Pitt's birthday? Turns out that does impress Shania Twain much!

In honor of Pitt turning 57 on Friday, the singer hilariously took to Twitter to poke some fun at her 1997 hit, "That Don't Impress Me Much," which shouts out the actor.

"Happy Birthday to Brad Pitt," Twain tweeted. "I'll make an exception for today."

Of course, this isn't the first time Twain has trolled Pitt about the song this year. Back in January, the singer retweeted a fan post comparing the classic track to three things found in Pitt's movie, Ad Astra.

"Did no one realize that BRAD PITT just played a ROCKET SCIENTIST, who had a CAR?!" the message read. "THOSE ARE THE THREE THINGS THAT DON'T IMPRESS SHANIA TWAIN MUCH!!!"

When ET spoke with Twain last December, she opened up about why she used Pitt's name in her song all those years ago. She revealed at the time that it occurred after a scandal involving nude photos of Pitt and ex-fiancee Gwyneth Paltrow, which were reportedly going to be published in Playgirl.

"I thought it was a horrible invasion on them and I just sort of took the other angle of it," Twain recalled. "He's so gorgeous, clothed or naked, so I just did that as an exaggeration ... being playful."

She added, "It doesn’t impress me much that I still have not met Brad Pitt, come on!"

Is Shania giving hints on another collaboration? Earlier today, she pinned a "Let's go girls send tweet" tweet from last Summer at the top of her Twitter page. This follows a "LET'S GO GIRLS!" New Year's Day tweet. So "Let's Go Girls" obviously means something. Here's a possible theory. Back in late 2019, Shania was a guest on "The Talk" and mentioned she had written a song "Sisters" for her, Lizzo and Janelle Monae. She also said she would love to collaborate with Lizzo during an interview with "Access" at the Grammy Awards last year. Could this collaboration be coming soon? Possibly on Shania's new album supposedly to be released in the Spring?

“I’m Gonna Getcha Good!” My 4th video collaboration with @shaniatwain We created 2 looks The video was was shot in London, and directed by @pauldirects. It was filmed over 2 days. Fun (sort of sad) fact: The motorcycle/space look was the most complicated costume I’d ever made up until that time. It was made to come apart. In the script there was a section where Shania is floating in space and the suit is coming off in pieces. On the day we shot that look It took so long for the hair to be done, to fit under the helmet, that the scene had to be cut, which was a shame. However the video came out amazing despite the sacrifice of all that detail.

Fred posted a pic of Melody on IG Stories on Wednesday or Thursday. Looked like they were still in Switzerland. Not sure if she'll be recording there or not. But I have my doubts about a new album in the Spring with this Covid stuff not going away anytime soon. We'll see.
