Sheridan Smith's new musical theatre podcast in which she's joined by a different well-known guest in every episode, whether a stage performer themselves, or simply a huge fan of musical theatre. She chats about her favourite songs from the stage and screen, and she's given a grilling on her top musical of all time, while divulging her biggest worry on stage, and the role in musical theatre that she'd most like to take on.

***Shania says she is getting ready to narrow down the songs she's been writing for the new album. Sounds like we still have to wait a while. She also says she plans on resuming her "Let's Go!" Las Vegas residency in December.

I can't believe it. I - REALLY - CAN'T - BELIEVE - IT.
So why David Baron keeps on saying "upcoming album" and so on?? This is the worst and unexpected news possible. 2021 is out of the question. We know her. If the album is still in the works there's no way it will be released this year.
I'm so getting tired of her.

Either the album is not completely finished or she is giving us the runaround to delay its release or something. Maybe she doesn't want to release it while we're still in the middle of Covid and wants to wait until sometime in the Fall before returning to Vegas in December.

I think the only songs already finished are the ones produced by David Baron. We don't know how many songs he produced, and we don't know how many songs she wants to put into the album. 

I don't expect anything for 2021 anymore. If she still has to record some songs maybe if we're lucky she's gonna release the lead single by the end of the year, and she could do it also to promote her returning to Vegas - IF she will be returning there, and that's not for granted. The Covid situation is still too much up in the air, things can change daily. 

Or maybe she will release a Christmas Song around mid-November (we know David Baron has produced a Christmas song for her) and all the new material will be released next year.

From this first 15 seconds this might be the best work Shania has done since up, I'm definitely not let down, It's catchy and something you can dance too. I haven't been this excited in years, I keeps replaying the short clip. Am I wrong? What you think Tommy? Hit potential

Shania Twain Is 'In New Music Mode,' According to a Teaser Clip on Her Brand-New TikTok

New music from Shania Twain? It may be on the way, if you go by a clip she shared on Tuesday (March 9) on her newly-created TikTok page.

The video snippet shows Twain in the studio, listening to music from inside the control booth and dancing along with what appears to be a glass of wine perched on the ledge in front of her.

"In new music mode," she captions her post, along with the hashtags "#wearehere," "#letsgogirls" and "#whenwomenwin."

Twain's foray into the TikTok world kicked off with a bang this month when she shared a high-energy clip of herself dancing along to her 1999 hit "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" against the backdrop of a scenic beach. Twain followed that up with a TikTok post paying tribute to the women of country music who inspire her, including Mickey Guyton, Dolly Parton, the Chicks, Taylor Swift and many more.

Twain has previously hinted that she's hard at work on new music. In January, she tweeted the same sentiment that she recently shared on TikTok — "In new music mode" — and when Canadian journalist Tom Harrington responded to ask if that meant she was "writing, playing, singing [or] listening," she responded, "All of the above."

In October of 2020, Twain alluded to writing a "mountain of songs" during the COVID-19 pandemic during a virtual appearance on ABC's Live With Kelly and Ryan. "You know, COVID has lasted so much longer than any of us expected, so I have enough music for three albums now," she revealed at the time.

In addition to the material she's working on now, Twain has kept busy with collaborations lately, including appearing on a duet version of Kelsea Ballerini's chart-topping single "Hole in the Bottle."

'The Rock,' Shania Twain, and the Toronto Maple Leafs support new charity

WINDSOR, ONT. -- A new nationally registered charity hopes to add joy and inspiration to terminally ill Canadians by making dreams come true.

"To bring that sense of wonderment and joy is super fulfilling,” said Michael Bennett, Oneday Dreams, co-founder, who specializes in palliative care.

The charity has been in the works for six years, granting dreams with the help of celebrities like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Shania Twain, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

"A lot of celebrities, whether musicians, artists, or actors, a lot of them recognize they got to where they are because they have a fan base,” said Jason Soulliere, Oneday Dream, co-founder. “When you bring a moment to them of someone who is struggling and in the moment of the struggle, the most important thing they can think of has something to do with that artist. I think that's why we are getting instant response."

"The joy he got it's hard to describe," said Michael Dudar, the father of Christopher Dudar, who’s dream came true just months before he died following a brain tumor diagnoses.

He received tickets to a Toronto Blue Jays game and mingled with the team during batting practice.

"It was an experience, and one that Christopher remembered for the rest of his short life," said Dudar.

To apply, you must be Canadian, 18-years-old or older, diagnosed with a terminal illness and have one year or less to live.

The charity launches this spring.

I wonder where Shania went? I still have a feeling she'll be performing the lead single at the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 18. If so, it will be released on April 9 or 16. Maybe she is off shooting the music video now.

The ACM Awards just announced the performers. It's official, Shania is not performing. Which means the lead single from her upcoming album probably won't be released anytime soon. It also most likely means a late Summer/early Fall album release.

Shania Twain ‘Will Be Calling’ Nick Jonas Soon To ‘Make Some More Music’

Shania Twain is not sleeping on a possible Nick Jonas collaboration.

Twain signed onto the latest episode of “Home Now Radio” on Apple Music. During the conversation, the five-time Grammy-winner touched on a team-up with the youngest Jonas brother (excluding Frankie Jonas).

“If you’re a Jonas Brother, you must feel cool all the time. Right?” Twain dished. “Like I would think so. Anyway, I don’t know, but they are cool. Now I would consider Nick Jonas, a friend of mine. He is a sweetheart, and you know, we’ve crossed paths a couple of times.”

“We’ve done some things together, musically, and you know, it’s just a fun, cool friendship that we’ve got, and I look forward to doing more together,” she continued. “So Nick, I will be calling out to you soon so we can get together and make some more music. How about that? That would be so cool, wouldn’t it?”

Twain has not been shy about her love for Haim and continued to promote them on Apple Music.

“This family band is fabulous. It’s a fabulous family band. I love these guys. These girls are superb musicians and they are excellent songwriters,” the Canadian legend gushed. “Talented show women and great singers with a beautiful, beautiful family blend. I was so flattered to be on their radio show. They also have an Apple Music radio show, which is so cool.”

“We chatted and had a few great laughs. Just talked music and reminded each other how much we wanted to get together and make music together,” she concluded. “And we will do that.”

The radio show has been recorded over the summer and early Fall so I think at that time she was still writing or recording songs.
Maybe the album isn't finished yet but she's putting the final touches to it. Plus, when an artist announces the lead single the album is not ready yet. It happened with Now: Because Of You has been recorded not two months before the album release. It has been the very last song she recorded for Now in the Summer 2017. So I think she can write and record songs until the very last.

 Im to the point now where I don’t believe anything until a concrete release date is set in stone. It’s underwhelming how Shania was talking when NOW was released, how eager she was to release something else. It’s been 4 years now since that was put out. It’s also crazy to think that she seems to prioritize her live performing (Vegas) over releasing new material. She’s been gone for soooo long, her old stuff just doesn’t cut it anymore. At least, until we get another album or two out. She even has wasted her opportunities on some huge platforms to perform a new single, I.e. AMA‘s 2019, CMA’s 2020. Perhaps she isn’t confident in her writing anymore, I don’t know. To me, she should be collaborating with other writers to get back on track. I don’t ever see her being to the degree she was before, mainly because of her age and how youth really does play a vital role in being on top, but her fan base is still there.
