Let’s Go Girls! Shania Twain Joins Harry Styles for a Pair of Country Duets at Coachella
The two joined forces on Twain's pop-crossover smashes "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" & "You're Still the One."

Harry Styles opted for some twangy ’90s nostalgia when it came time to pick a surprise guest for his Coachella debut on Friday night (April 15). Country superstar Shania Twain joined Styles in Indio, Calif., duetting with him on her pop-crossover smashes “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “You’re Still the One.”
In between songs, Twain said she was “starstruck” by Styles and he said she’s the woman who taught him to sing.
For “Woman,” Styles was at his gender-fluid best, harmonizing with Twain about the joys of wearing “men’s shirts” with “short skirts” while rocking a disco-ball-inspired two-piece outfit and grinding with the country diva.
The pair slowed it down for the wedding-song favorite “You’re Still the One,” sitting on stools and singing to each other while Twain strummed her acoustic guitar.
This isn’t the first time that Styles has covered Twain. He previously performed “You’re Still the One” with Kacey Musgraves at a show in New York City in 2018.
“You’re Still the One” was Twain’s highest-charting song ever on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 2, while “Man!” topped out at No. 23 on the chart. “The One” was also a No. 1 hit on both the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.
In addition to his Shania surprise, Styles also debuted new songs at Coachella — “Boyfriends” and “Late Night Talking” — from his upcoming album Harry’s House, due May 20. The first taste of the album was lead single “As It Was,” which debuted at No. 1 on this week’s Hot 100.
The news we got earlier this week that she's done in the studio and the fact that she made a surprise performance at Coachella makes me believe her new album is coming at very soon!
Here is the Coachella livestream. Shania was 90% lip-synching to a backing track. The backing track was playing inside the venue but not on the livestream's audio. This also happened on the "Today" show when Shania was promoting NOW.
I don’t blame her for using a backing track. Lots of artists do it, and if she is more comfortable/worried her voice may give out then I don’t see why not.
It honestly annoys me when people rip her for doing this when it’s become so common place!

Music icon. Fashion icon. And true friend ❤️ I am honored and thrilled to have joined @Harry_Styles onstage for his @coachella debut. What a magical moment!! And I mean c'mon... WHAT A SHOW 🔥 I'm a huge fan! Grateful we got to create this memory together - Thank you Harry.
Honestly it was an amazing performance, Not live completely but I have accepted she doesn't sound like she use too. I loved it regardless. She looked absolutely amazing. Love the hair tooo! Can't wait for the new album
I’m completely oblivious as to if this is possible, but are we able to find out if her music (old obviously!) has spiked since last nights performance? I would be interested to see if the Coachella performance got some interest with a new audience 🤷🏻♀️

Shania should totally put on the audio from this performance on Come on Over diamond edition presuming she releases that this fall. I am not a Harry Styles fan in the slightest but I would listen.
Beyond Harry Styles’ Coachella Duets With Shania Twain, Could We Ever See Him Go All In on Country Music?
On the latest Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, Katie & Keith talk all about why Twain was a pitch-perfect surprise guest for Harry's Coachella debut.

Harry Styles has a history of dabbling in country music, from duetting with his tour opener Kacey Musgraves to covering Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush.” But his pair of Coachella duets with Shania Twain on Friday night have us wondering: Will the singer/songwriter ever go all in on country music?
On the latest Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, Katie & Keith talk all about why Twain was a pitch-perfect surprise guest for Harry’s Coachella debut and whether they might formally release their fan-favorite duets of “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “You’re Still the One” from night 1 of the festival. Or maybe, someday, Styles could put out a full-on country album.
Listen to the episode below for that discussion and more:
If Shania is already in Los Angeles for "Superfan" which begins taping episodes today, I wonder if she'll go to Coachella again tonight to watch Harry perform. Personally, I don't think she'll go again. But we'll see.

Lizzo joined Harry onstage last night during his show at Coachella. They sang "I Will Survive" (Gloria Gaynor) and "What Makes You Beautiful" (One Direction). Great stuff!!!
"Harry Styles and Lizzo set Coachella on fire with their cover of 'I Will Survive'" (April 25, 2022, Music)
Article from Numéro, 230, by Violaine Schütz.
The former One Direction singer invited singer Lizzo to perform at the Coachella festival this weekend. Together, the two stars delivered an invigorating cover of the disco hit I Will Survive. One of the highlights of the 2022 edition of the Californian musical institution.
During the first weekend of the Coachella festival in California, which took place from April 15 to 17, British singer Harry Styles hit hard by inviting Canadian country star Shania Twain on stage. For the second weekend of this event very popular with trendy Americans, which was held from April 22 to 24, the artist close to the Gucci house once again ignited the crowd with a guest of choice.
Indeed, the singer, flautist and rapper Lizzo joined the ex-singer of One Direction, also an actor, for an invigorating cover of the indestructible disco hit by Gloria Gaynor, I Will Survive (1978). The two stars, clad in flamboyant Gucci faux fur coats, also embarked on a successful retelling of boy band One Direction's single, What Makes You Beautiful (2011). This moment was one of the most intense of the 2022 edition of the Coachella festival, which also saw Billie Eilish, Doja Cat and Caroline Polachek perform.
Lizzo and Harry Styles are among the artists who will make the year 2022. Indeed, the icon of the positive body movement Lizzo will release her new album, Special, on July 15th. As for the founder of the gender-neutral cosmetics brand Pleasing, he will release his highly anticipated new opus, Harry's House, on May 20, 2022. And given the energy displayed by the two stars during their performance at Coachella, we can expect a number of dancing, unifying hits on either side.
Harry's House (2022) by Harry Styles, available May 20. Special (2022) by Lizzo, available July 15.
***And Shania then ? She too will make the year 2022, later. If they follow each other every 3 to two months apart, then: Harry (May), Lizzo (July), Shania (September)...
My favourite part of this moment (other than being onstage with @Harry_Styles of course), was looking out and seeing everyone in the audience singing along ❤️🔥 So many different people all coming together, it was magical ✨
There's numerous rumors going around on Twitter that Shania performed with Harry at a private wedding in Napa Valley on 5/28. Makes sense because Shania was in Napa. Can't confirm the rumors.
