A short clip I made of Mammas Donβt Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys in London on SeptemberΒ 16. Her voice reminded me here of her very early days when she did her first tv performances. Itβs great to hear so much power in her voice again β€οΈ

Smiles for miles - you can tell I had a fun weekend with you, London π€ Thank you!! Dublin, see you tonight for the first show of our double date together π
Dublin I had so much fun with you!! The best thing about a Shania Twain show is you never know what to expect at a Shania Twain show - Taking requests, meeting lots of you and forgetting the lyrics of my own songs π #queenofmetour
Am I wrong or is she singing most of the songs live??? Her voice seems to have improved during these european dates.
She did Honey I'm Home and Number One live at least once, next to the songs she already sang live. Plus the fan requests of course. So yeah, most of the songs are live! Her voice is very strong on Pretty Liar and Inhale/Exhale AIR! And she hit an old-voice Shania note on Ka-Ching! "Can you hear it ring" (Check the Twitter/X clip above). LATGG with a fan 2nd Dublin night sounded great too! She kept struggling on IGGG though, so for at least the 1st Dublin show she used a track for that one.
A fabulous weekend in Glasgow β€οΈβπ₯ I loved every minute with you all - Thank you!! Final week of the UK & Ireland shows kicks off tomorrowβ¦ Manchester, are you ready to put some Up! in your Giddy?? π€
Ewan posted this gorgeous Queen Of Me inspired outfit on Instagram and campaigned with the fans to get it seen and, well, it worked! π Thank you @primaewan, itβs an honor to wear one of your designsβ¦ and Iβm glad you approved of my Shaniaβd version!! π
I wonder how she decides when to perform something live vs not. Because there are times when she doesn't perform a single note from a song, then there are times where she does a bit and then times like where she does the whole song.

I wonder that too. Maybe she knows when her voice is strong enough to sing a specific song live. But it's strange that this was the first time for this song.

Yes it's strange. Probably a technical problem. She may not even know how it turned out.

This is the impression I get.
A few months back in when she held out the mic for the audience and her track kept playing on YTSO and IOH it honestly looked like to me that she thought she was singing live and she probably was but the sound producers turned up the prerecorded track and she couldn't hear it.
The sound production is just so sloppy. I still cannot comprehend why they haven't added her lead vocal track to the mix during the chorus of MIFLAW. There's a loud track for the verses, nothing during the chorus, and then a loud track of the album version for the end of the song. It's gotten better over time, but I just don't get why so many of the songs have issues after almost five months of touring.
I also think her band sounded better during the Now tour and Let's Go shows. Everything sounded tighter and more cohesive musically. You can hear the difference in the drumming and with some of the guitar riffs. I'm hoping she adds a couple more background singers and musicians for the Come on Over Vegas shows next year.

Β She sang Number One partially live in London and Glasgow and think she felt her voice would be strong enough to do it live completely. I'm sure she knew she sang it without a track this time because you can hear she really tried her best.Β
About the MIFLAW chorus track: it's just so unprofessional! Most of the other tracks are fixed. On FAFO i.e. you can hear her vocal track better, same goes for IGGG.Β

Β Totally agree!! I feel like this drummer is just doing what feels right for her, adding extra kicks where it's just weird or missing out on kicks where they should be (MIFLAW and RTC). And still not getting the outro's right. Missing that little extra Elijah Wood had. Plus I feel this drummer uses 'lighter' drums since the sound often is hollow.
About the guitar(ist): same story as with the drum. Previous guitarist Joshua Ray Gooch had that little extra (check out Honey I'm Home in Vegas September 2022 from 55:30 onwards) β¬οΈβ¬οΈ
His intro is amazing and right before the verses he does this extra 'roar' thingπ . Also at 39:40.Β
About the background singers: I think Re'Sean would sound great with background Charlotte Gibson who sang with Shania from the 2nd Vegas run on. The Scottish guy she has now has awesome abilities but outshines Shania often and doesn't have a warm voice which I think sounds better with Shania's voice.
Her voice was very strong in London and Dublin on the live songs and live parts. I think she just had the confidence to do βnumber oneβ fully live this time. Sounded pretty descent as well.
I ran into a TikTok video of her show in Dublin. The guy who posted it was in the front row and "Number One" was fully live there, too She laughed after "Get the lights" so her mic was definitely open. And she sang the verses in a slight higher note, like she does with "Inhale/Exhale Air".
Two back to back nights of non stop FUN! π Manchester & Birmingham, I didnβt want the shows to end!! Custom outfit designs, onstage proposals and a number one high kick! π₯ Leeds, youβre the last show of the UK & Ireland tourβ¦ you better bring the party!! π€ #queenofmetour
And a beautiful night in Leeds marks the end of the UK & Ireland leg of the #QueenOfMeTour! Thank you to every single person who came out to a show - touring here holds a special place in my heart and Iβve had the best time with you all β€οΈβπ₯ But Iβm not leaving quite yetβ¦ Kingston, are you ready for our celebratory day together?? π€
I loved this one so much! β€οΈβπ₯ My @aclfestival crowd partied with me through the whole set and I came off stage absolutely buzzing with all the awesome energy! What a trip! Saturday night in Austin ainβt no joke and I get why they do it twice - sorry to miss next weekend but gotta get back to #QueenOfMeTour π Special shout out to the front row for giving ATTITUDE during donβt impress ππ
This was one off the bucket list for me! Firstly thank you to @foofighters for inviting me on stage - you are all so generous and ridiculously cool. I am a huge rock fan. My first band was a rock band, my first big producer was one of the worlds renowned rock producers, me and my son like to rock out π Totally worth the adrenaline fuelled run from my stage to yours Dave Grohl - you are a true friend and talent β€οΈ
Her performance of You Win My Love at the ACL festival (I think it's the first time she's performed it this tour) is an absolute mess.
At 0:37, 1:14, 2:18 and 2:36 the mic is nowhere near her mouth and track keeps playing - she is just walking around the stage or holding her hands up most of the time.
At 1:20 she storms off stage and looks irritated and returns a few seconds later and is singing the third verse live without track. Then the third verse abruptly restarts with the track and the background singers.
She's just not herself with this tour. It's an absolute mess. How it is getting so many positive reviews from all these news articles is beyond me. I know fans will attack me but it's an absolute embarrassment to watch as a fan. If your having voice issues I understand but not singing live when it is obvious is absolutely embarrassing. Fans say she's having fun, other fans say she's looking fabulous and honest ones like me are saying she's an absolute mess and her management, record label and anyone around her whose close to her must see this mess. I am not sure how this tour is selling out because I wouldn't pay 5 cents to watch it in person. I just feel everything is so unorganized including the promotion of the Queen of me album. I am a fan but I am speaking the truth. Something is seriously wrong. If this is what we can expect in Vegas then she's gonna get some heat. She has to up her game for the residency because this to me is the most embarassing tour ever. I think she needs a break. She's overly tired and her falling down several times now is really concerning. Someone tell me I am not the only one seeing this?

Well, some nights are worse than others. "You Win My Love" at the ACL Festival has been embarassing. Maybe the worst live performance ever. The backing track keeps playing and she let the crowd sing, she walks out of stage and starts to sing over the instrumental break and so on. It's almost as if she doesn't reharse before the show. I watched the UK Tour videos on YouTube and she seemed focused and the production was well oiled. I don't know what's wrong with her on some nights but I agree there's definitely something wrong going on. Maybe she's just tired or maybe she doesn't care to prove she can perform live anymore. Everyone knows she doesn't sing live anymore and to me she's too focused on costumes and wigs rather than to reharse properly before a show. But if we want to find a silver lining, technical issues happen all the time during live shows, even to well oiled productions. But she shouldn't mess lyrics anyway, not on 25-28 years old songs sung zillion times now.

I just took the time to watch the entire Video performance of you win my love and watch closely because Shania was really ticked off. You see her half through go back stage raising her hands and really not happy and when she came back she wasn't impressed. That wasn't her fault from what I seen the production company messed up because she knew the problem and was trying to get it fixed. Her Mic or something was messed up because she was pretty embarrassed and ticked off at the same time. Watch the video half through lol
yes, it is embarrassing. That's why I always think Cory Churko should resign from the position of her Music Director. C'mon, he never tries to fix the track of MIFLAW and I hope Fred can totally stay away from her career. truly, he cant guide her and give her wise advice.
It's not just Cory's fault. When she let the crowd sing during the chorus or when she stop singing when the song's still playing, it's HER fault. She should know her song, when there's a backing track playing and when there is an instrumental break. It's not the first time YWML is performed live and plus, that's why reharsals are done. To fix problems and issues.
She keeps saying that she's "having the time of her life" this tour and similar stuff but after watching so many videos of the tour, I get the impression that she doesn't want to be there. Her body language and personna have changed since the NOW Tour/Let's Go era in my opinion. It's like she didn't want to go on tour, but the record label contractually required her to or something. If audio issues were a one off thing where there were only issues one night, I would not complain about it, but they are a regular occurrence now. Weird backing tracks where she's singing the harmony (or lack thereof on MIFLAW and several other songs) and issues with her earpiece and mic happen almost every night. It's like she and her team just don't care.
Shania sang "Spoonful" (Howlin' Wolf cover) from her Spotify Singles EP last night in Fort Worth, Texas. Ray Parker Jr played guitar. There is a clip in a fan's Instagram Stories.
