Shania Twain announced as latest BST Hyde Park headliner

And it's only a week after Glastonbury - is Worthy Farm on the cards?

Shania Twain has been confirmed as the latest headliner for BST Hyde Park this summer, joining the likes of Robbie Williams and Stray Kids in playing their own headline shows at the huge outdoor festival.

The country icon will take to the Great Oak stage on July 7, joined by Irish legends The Corrs and a wide line-up that will be announced in the coming months.

Tickets for the show go on sale from Wednesday February 14 from 10AM and you can buy them here.

Rather curiously though, the show comes just one week after Glastonbury – which means that an appearance down on Worthy Farm wouldn’t be the most surprising thing in the world.

It comes after it was confirmed that Stray Kids will headline Hyde Park on Sunday July 14, while Robbie returns on July 6 for his first Hyde Park show since 2019.

Shania Twain said: “I’ve seen so many of my own musical heroes headlining at Hyde Park and have wonderful summer memories there. It is a real privilege to headline my own show this year. It’s going to be a s**t-kicking party!"

Last summer, Shania also spoke to Rolling Stone UK to mark the 25th anniversary of her album Come On Over, which remains the biggest-selling studio album of all time by a solo female artist.

|Well, I was busy, busy, busy in every direction you can imagine. Twelve singles, all the videos and all the emotion that went around it,” she reflected on releasing the record.

“Then I was touring for the first time with my own hits and it was pretty overwhelming. I’m a very energetic person but I didn’t have a moment to sit and celebrate while all these great things happened. I never popped the champagne at the time and now I’m gonna celebrate when I get back to Vegas. It’s the perfect time and that’s why it’s called the Come On Over residency. This is the time to celebrate this amazing album in my life and in my career. It’s a time to celebrate.”

THERE’S no let-up for Shania Twain, who is preparing to play to more than 60,000 people at BST Hyde Park Sunday night.

Fresh from her Legends slot at Glasto, the country star wowed crowds on Thursday at Lytham Festival near Blackpool.

And fans in London should keep an eye out for her Sunday.

“I’ll be going to Hyde Park early because I want to get a horse ride in,” keen horsewoman Shania told me in an exclusive chat ahead of Sunday night’s set.

“The plan is to lease a horse from stables there. That would make the whole day for me.

“I am planning on hitting Wimbledon too, and I do love going out in Soho.”

The country queen made a glamorous showing at Glastonbury last weekend, although the sound issues (beyond her control) didn't, ahem, impress viewers much.

Shania Twain followed those wobbles and stunned the crowd with her next performance at Malahide Castle, and now she's bringing her record-breaking brand of country-pop to London's Hyde Park for American Express presents British Summer Time 2024.

She'll be joined by Celtic pop rock superstar siblings Andrea, Sharon, Jim and Caroline, better known as The Corrs, who took a break in 2006 at the height of their success so the band members could raise families and pursue solo projects.

The (almost) all-female line-up on the main Great Oak Stage on July 7 also includes Natalie Imbruglia, Anne-Marie and Elle King. Scroll down for all the stage times, maps, and info about bags, umbrellas, water bottles, seat, and more.

Great Oak Stage timings for July 7 at BST Hyde Park

"Torn" singer Natalie Imbruglia starts the day off from 15:00-15:30, followed by Elle King from 16:00-16:40 and then Anne-Marie from 17:10-18:00.

Irish megastars The Corrs take to the stage from 18:40-19:50. They may have sold over 40million albums but still have to give way before the biggest-selling female country artist of all time with estimated sales of over 100million. Shania Twain will bring the night home from 20:50-22:20 (8:50pm-10:20pm in London | 3:50pm-5:20pm ET).

i was there, she is in a “drunk” mode again when she spoke and sing. Obviously, she is tired after all these festivals stuff and she caught a light cold. FAFA is cut and YSTO was done by fans singing (how bad the arrangement is)

no special guests, but mentioning Harry Style again (and again). Her energy level is quite low today.

I wonder how large the crowd is today. I received a last minute offer and upgraded to diamond vip at a very low price.

She definitely wasn't drunk. I seen clips on Tiktok she seemed fine to me. Maybe a little cold. Overall good performance

I'm starting to think that parts of MIFLAW are prerecorded and she is lipsyncing or singing over a track. Across all these performances in Vegas and the UK, the verses and chorus sound exactly the same in every video I've seen even when she's jumping or moving heavily around the stage. There's been no imperfections in her vocal like there are in the other songs she's singing live.

She was amazing in Hyde Park. I think she had a lot of energy. Singing live makes her more living the songs I believe. And yes FTMO and the choruses of MIFLAW are the last backing track parts.

Also great how she got through it having a cold. True legend 🤠❤️

Is my comment false? I am one of the audience there. That’s not just my comment, the audience around me were also confused by her speaking. I am not attacking her, but she sometimes kept repeating same points, forgot the rundown (YSTO part, even the band was confused by her action), talking non sense things from time to time. All of them will negatively spoil audience’s feeling.

If I didn’t attend and gave such kind of comments. I don’t respect the people here.

However, I attended. I attended this one, QoM tour, Now tour and the first LV residency.

So, you are the one who should remove your comment.

I highly doubt she was drunk, It would be totally out of character for anything like that to happen with her. She wasn't stumbling around or anything like that. She was just being enthusiastic, but there again I've read people online saying she wasn't into it and lacked energy, you can't win. I just watch the clips and take some of the comments on TikTok and YouTube with a pinch of salt. The crowd there from the clips I've seen looked really up for it and loving it. Seems like people were dressed up for the concerts and had a great time.

Of course she wasn’t drunk, she was totally fine (I was in the audience too and have seen her live many times before). Just like at many of her other concerts she got enthusiastic and started telling stories and sometimes not finding the right words or forgetting the point she wanted to make. I choose that 100 times over artist who repeat the same phrases and stories like robots. I think she had a wonderful time on stage, she was constantly going from side to side and jumping around on the music.

What MKK mentions at the start of YSTO. From what I saw she simply told her band she wanted to do it fully acapella. Nothing weird about it and they responded fine. Audience around us had a blast.
