Andrea Bocelli Is Celebrating 30 Years in Music With 3-Day Concert Event

The event is set to take place July 15, July 17 and July 19 in at Tuscany's Teatro del Silenzio.

Andrea Bocelli has been bringing his honeyed vocals to fans for 30 years, and he’s celebrating his third decade in the music business with Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration, a three-day event in the 65-year-old tenor’s hometown of Lajatico, Italy.

The event, which is set to take place July 15, July 17 and July 19 in at Tuscany’s Teatro del Silenzio will feature appearances and performances from Bocelli’s superstar friends including Ed Sheeran, Shania Twain, Jon Batiste, Russell Crowe, Sofia Vergara, David Foster, Christian Nodal, Sofia Carson, Laura Pausini, Tiziano Ferro, Zucchero, Giorgia, Matteo Bocelli and Virginia Bocelli as well as classical stars Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Lang Lang, Aida Garifullina, Bryn Terfel, Nadine Sierra and more to be announced.

“As a child, I learned to dream about my future in the enchanted silence of these hills,” Bocelli said in a press statement. “Then life made that dream happen. Today, 30 years later, I can only imagine celebrating my career and my life, its strength, and its wondrous beauty here at Teatro del Silenzio, surrounded by such wonderful artists and friends. I want to thank everyone who helped my childhood dreams come true with an unforgettable concert.”

In addition, Mercury Studios, Maverick, Impact Productions and CITYSOUND & Events are working together to produce the Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration concert film, which will be directed by Sam Wrench. “You can’t get much more cinematic than Andrea Bocelli against the Tuscan landscape. I’m incredibly excited to bring this once in a lifetime concert to cinemas around the world with his unique voice, this world class team and enviable list of special guests,” Wrench shared.

Concert Film ‘Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration’ to Hit International Theaters This Fall

Famed Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli’s will be the subject of a concert film titled Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration that will get an international release this Fall via Fathom. The pic will document the three-day event next month honoring Bocelli’s 30th anniversary in music.

The event is set for July 15, 17 and 19 at the Teatro del Silenzio (Theater of Silence) in Tuscany. Once a year, the natural amphitheater in Bocelli’s hometown hosts this musical festival, and the film will showcase Bocelli’s repertoire alongside duets with other performers.

The film will be directed by Grammy nominee and Emmy winner Sam Wrench, who recently helmed Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour, the highest-grossing concert film of all time. He also is behind live-performance films with Billie Eilish, Lizzo, BTS, The Weeknd and more.

Bocelli’s celebration features performances from Ed Sheeran, Brian May, Shania Twain, Jon Batiste, Russell Crowe, Sofia Vergara, David Foster, Christian Nodal, Sofia Carson, Laura Pausini, Tiziano Ferro, Zucchero, Giorgia, Matteo Bocelli and classical superstars Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Lang Lang, Aida Garifullina and Nadine Sierra.

Last year, Fathom released The Journey: A Music Special from Andrea Bocelli, an exploration of the moments that define us.

“To celebrate the 30th anniversary of my career at Teatro del Silenzio, a place that means so much to me, with artists and friends is an honor,” Bocelli said. “To be able to share this unforgettable event with the world in cinemas is beyond my greatest dreams.”

Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration will be produced by Mercury Studios, Maverick, Almud, Impact Productions, and CitySound & Events, and released theatrically by Fathom.

Brent Barcus is already in Italy for Andrea Bocelli's 30th Anniversary celebration and Shania's performance next week. We still don't know which of the three days (or day) she is performing. I have a feeling people will be prohibited from taking pictures and videos since the event is being made into a movie for theaters this Fall.

Shania is sounding better then ever in the studio lately. I can see why she's making another album fast. Probably the next album will be her best since Up!. 

Andrea Bocelli’s new album to feature duets with Shania Twain and Gwen Stefani

Andrea Bocelli is to release an album featuring new duets with Shania Twain and Gwen Stefani to celebrate 30 years since the release of his debut record.

The 32-track Duets compilation will include a host of collaborations recorded especially for the album, with US country star Chris Stapleton, his son Matteo Bocelli and Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer also on the line-up.

Speaking of the album, Bocelli said: “To mix voices, mix the vibrations, is for me a very exciting experience, sensual and spiritual at the same time.

“Something intimate and deep is established between the two voices that sing a duet.

“We singers are in constant search of colleagues able to give life to this alchemy.”

The first single from the album will be Da Stanotte In Poi (From This Moment On), which is a reworking of Twain’s 1997 song and has been recorded with the five-time Grammy winner.

Bocelli began his career in 1994, with the album Il Mare Calmo Della Sera, having previously worked as a singer in piano bars.

The Italian has gone on to sell almost 90 million records worldwide and has performed at major events across the world including the Olympic Games and the World Cup.

Prior to the album’s release, a three-day event will be held in his home town of Lajatico in Italy.

Performances on July 15, 17 and 19 at the Teatro del Silenzio will see him joined by the likes of Sheeran, Sir Brian May and Johnny Depp.

The theatre he will perform in was paid for by the singer and is not used other than for Bocelli’s yearly shows in July.

The concerts will be filmed for a movie called Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration, which will be released in cinemas worldwide.

It will be directed by Grammy nominee and Emmy Award winner Sam Wrench, who recently directed Taylor Swift–The Eras Tour.

A new documentary on the singer’s life will also be released in cinemas called Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe.

The album will be released on Friday October 25 on Decca Records.

It comes after Bocelli performed at British Summer Time in Hyde Park on Friday July 5, with the singer preparing to head off on a US tour in November.

Andrea Bocelli and Shania Twain have teamed up for a duet of one of Twain's classic love songs.

On Friday, the singers shared a reimagined take on Twain's 1997 song "From This Moment On" for Bocelli's upcoming "Duets" album later this year.

Their version, titled "Da Stanotte in Poi (From This Moment On)," features newly recorded lyrics and is produced by Rick Nowels.

"It was such a beautiful experience to reimagine my song 'From This Moment On' with @andreabocelliofficial," Twain wrote in the caption of a joint Instagram post she shared with Bocelli. "I loved collaborating on 'Da Stanotte in Poi' together and I can't wait to sing it at the celebration show in gorgeous Tuscany!"

For three nights -- July 15, 17 and 19 -- Twain and several other stars will join Bocelli at the Teatro del Silenzio in Italy's Tuscan hills for an event honoring Bocelli's 30th career anniversary.

The event, "Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration," will feature a star-studded cast including Ed Sheeran, Sofia Carson, David Foster, Sofia Vergara, Russell Crowe, Lauren Daigle, Johnny Depp, Jon Batiste, Katharine McPhee and more, according to a press release.

It will also be filmed for a global release in cinemas this fall.

On Instagram on Friday, Bocelli and his wife Veronica Berti teased the upcoming performances with videos of Bocelli rehearsing at Teatro del Silenzio and playing the piano.

Not only does 2024 mark the 30th anniversary of Bocelli's career, it is also quickly becoming a busy year for the singer, who will also release a documentary later this year called "Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe." The legendary Italian tenor is also embarking on his annual North American Holiday Tour this winter.

Bocelli's "Duets" album will be released Oct. 25 and will feature collaborations with Stevie Wonder, Marc Anthony, Mary J. Blige and more.

Last night, Andrea Bocelli performed his second of three concerts this week in celebration of the 30th anniversary of his career.

The star-studded event held at the Teatro del Silenzio in the Italian maestro’s hometown of Lajatico, Tuscany had him joined but the likes of Ed Sheeran, Russell Crowe, Will Smith and Johnny Depp.

After Sheeran’s duet of Perfect Symphony, Bocelli was joined on stage by the Pirates of the Caribbean star on the acoustic guitar.

The pair then gave a rendition of En Aranjuez con tu amor as a tribute to the late Jeff Beck.

Depp was also captured backstage chatting and laughing with Bocelli’s family and his fellow Hollywood stars, later calling it “a wonderful evening”.

Bocelli recently said of the chance to perform with Depp: “A disarmingly charming actor who has brought countless iconic characters to life on the big screen, this eclectic artist’s musical talents are equally intense: a bona fide rockstar loved and applauded everywhere.

“I fondly recall playing and singing with Johnny Depp when he visited my home in Tuscany. We’re happy to announce that this unexpected pairing will perform once more – and this time in public, as his fans will be thrilled to hear. We want to thank Johnny for accepting our invitation: it will be a joy to welcome him to the Teatro del Silenzio stage”.

The third and final Andrea Bocelli 30th anniversary concert will be at the same Italian venue on Friday even with the likes of Shania Twain and Sir Brian May performing.

Most likely since the concert was recorded for a movie release. They want the "best" sound possible.

Yeah she was using a backing track. She never really learned how to lipsync, you can clearly tell when she's not singing live.
