According to my DirecTV on-screen program guide, Shania will be a guest on "TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle" on Friday, May 1 in New York City probably to talk about hosting the ACM Awards on May 17 and the new music she has been working on. It only says "singer-songwriter Shania Twain", nothing about performing. "TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle" airs at 10:00-11:00am ET on NBC.

It could also be to promote her upcoming hosting duties on the Academy of Country Music Awards. Would love for her to talk about new music, though.

It will definitely be a new music announcement. She teased it for some time now, with that Easter Egg on her IG profile and that video in the studio.

"TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle" is LIVE Monday - Thursday but the Friday show is pre-recorded. So I wonder when Shania is doing the interview.

She might talk about music but I'm not sure an official announcement will come Friday. Maybe talk about the ACM awards and where she's at with new music. I also don't think she will perform a new song at an awards show. If it was like the last two albums maybe some TV interviews and some promotion. Wouldn't it be great if Shania released a new duet with Harry Styles? I know a dream however it's a good dream to have

I wonder when the lead single will be released? In the past she has announced singles at least a few days in advance. "Waking Up Dreaming" was announced 9/19/22 for 9/23/22 release. QOM album was announced 10/28/22 for 2/3/23 release.

She’s working with T Bone Burnett so the new music will probably sound more bluegrass/folkish than Queen of Me (I hope so…).
A duet with a current artist (Harry Styles? Taylor Swift?) would be a good promotional move and the only way to get a hit on the Billboard Hot 100…Madonna is releasing the lead single from the upcoming album with Sabrina Carpenter..clearly a strategy to target top streaming and sales chart.

I think she'll be quite vague; maybe she'll sing her new song and say it's coming out soon. But she'll probably announce the date on her social media and leave it to others to guess. I see it coming out in mid-May, just before the ACM Awards, or mid-June, just before the concerts with Harry Styles (which she'll have performed live beforehand at the ACMs). In 2017, she sang "Life's About to Get Good" in April, followed by a June release and a music video in July. She seems to have completely forgotten about TikTok too.

I'm so confused as to what her plan is. If she doesn't announce an album and single date tomorrow then what is the promotion plan? I'm still not convinced she will be singing a new song at the awards show. So anyone want to take a jab of what the plan will likely be? She's so silent and it usually means something on the horizon right?

The show was taped yesterday. I'm not sure what she's doing here. Singing? Playing a game? There's no band so I don't think she's singing.

I would have no problem with her just announcing the album and maybe singing a bit from an older song for a game. This is 2026. She isn’t competing with Sabrina carpenter or other young artists. She is putting out songs for her own joy and the fun of fans who want to stick around

The background graphic with her logo (the same one used since QoM that’s based on her debut album cover) is suspect to me. Makes me think she will be announcing something. I don’t think they would put up her logo and graphics just for a normal interview.

All they said is we know you're working on new music and showed an Instagram post from last year. What a joke! Then they played a game where you have to finish the lyrics to a Shania song.

Yes just like the last two albums... crappy promotion! She's definitely releasing no single this month and like I said there will be no performance at the ACM awards. As a fan it is becoming ridiculous when it comes to music. The worst management team she has ever had.
