I am in Canada and haven't heard the single on the radio here, Has it been released here? Also is the single released on ITunes or is it released tomorrow. Hopefully someone gives me an answer:)

$1000 for the autographed set?! I'll just buy the CD from Target and the vinyl from Amazon when it comes out. I don't need a journal. (or do I? darn, now I'm thinking about it...)

BUT the one package does say early access to future tickets so the implication (if not explicit promise) is that a tour is coming. hallelu

Wow indeed. "When you pre-order NOW from Shania’s official store you will get first access to tickets and special offers for future tour dates." Does this mean we think she's going on tour this year? Because "pre-order" which can only be up until the album release in September. Think she will add any more UK shows after London? I've been dragging my feet trying to book this trip to see if has any more shows to play because that'll dictate where I fly in and out of.

The top package for $999.99 comes with a recorded message from Shania, with your name.

The next level, $249.99 come with a possible signed copy, if you were one of the first 50 to order (hoping I made the cut earlier this am).

Both packages though came with the exclusive ticket access.

Also, seems there are already 2 versions of the CD, the original with 12 songs, and the Deluxe which has 16. Heard conflicting information regarding both but since she has already recorded 21, I can see another release later in the life of the CD.

It's on iTunes now. I think you have to pre-order the album to get "Life's About To Get Good".

what does the billboard article mean that says it already reached #1 on country?

I think what they mean by that is that the song is the # 1 trending song on billboard country right now. I guess there is a separate chart for "trending" music!

Shania Twain's New Single Hits No. 1 on Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 Chart

She’s still the one! 15 years after the release of Shania Twain’s last studio album Up! -- her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 -- the diva’s new single “Life’s About to Get Good” surged to the top of the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart Thursday morning (June 15), shortly after its release.

The Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart measures the real-time acceleration of conversation around artists and their music on Twitter.

The track first appeared on the Trending 140 around 10 a.m. ET Thursday morning after its release on YouTube and other streaming services, and topped the chart soon after. The YouTube clip of the song’s official audio has launched to 20,000 global views since its posting (as of mid-day June 15).

“Life’s About to Get Good” is set to appear on Twain’s upcoming fifth studio album Now, due out September 29.

It's such an average song in relation to her other songs. Obviously she will get buzz for it for being away for so long, but it doesn't have that Mutt magic with his skill for tweaking her lyrics so skillfully (and helping her add sass to a song) and his musical producing genius. So hope her other songs are stronger and filled with more attitude and uniqueness. This one just falls so flat for me....the last minute is mind numbingly repetitive.....

i disagree with you 100 percent,  It is a perfect Shania comeback song,   This isn't about her sounding exactly like mutt produced albums lol There are lots of other great producers out there, i think the chorus and arrangements are perfect and it has a very catchy chorus you can't get out of your head,  It is new and fresh and not suppose to sound like mutt's records, People were saying Mutt's songs all sounded repetitive too, This will be a big hit and i am sure she has a few gems on the album. i am pleasantly surprised how much i loved her lead single.

I agree on the lyrics. They sound a bit rough. And unlike her earlier songs (even Today Is Your Day) it made me bored after a few listenings.

A question to those who have ordered the CD from her Official Store: how soon did you get the LATGG download link? It says "instantly upon purchase". I haven't got mine yet.

GLOBAL SUPERSTAR SHANIA TWAIN RELEASES NEW SINGLE
AND REVEALS NEW ALBUM ‘NOW’ – AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 29TH.

Universal Music Group Nashville
Press Release
June 15, 2017

International superstar Shania Twain is set to release her brand-new album NOW on September 29th. Three decades into her storied career as the “top-selling female country artist of all-time,” Shania confidently embraces the moment on her triumphant fifth full-length album on Mercury Nashville and her first album since 2002. Assuming the role of sole songwriter for the first time and overseeing production as a co-producer, this is the woman the world knows and loves at her brightest, boldest and best. NOW, offered as both a 12-track standard and a 16-track deluxe, is available for preorder now and includes an instant download of the album’s lead single “Life’s About to Get Good.” The joyful new tune premieres today on country radio platforms around the globe.

  • Shania is set to rock New York City tomorrow morning as part of NBC’s TODAY Show Summer Concert Series. Fans can expect to hear new music including her latest single along with a few of her most-popular hits. While fans got a taste of the highly-anticipated new song in an exciting NBC Winter Olympics ad, the TODAY Show appearance will only be the second time Shania has performed “Life’s About to Get Good” for a live audience. The first came recently when she performed to a high-spirited crowd of over 75,000 fans as one of the three headliners of this year’s Stagecoach Festival in Indio, Calif.
  • In addition to the upcoming new album, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tenn. opens its Shania exhibit later this month as part of the museum’s 50th anniversary celebration. Scheduled to run through mid-2018, the exhibit will feature some of Shania’s iconic outfits from the “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” music video (including her top hat, top coat, corset, shirt, necktie, gloves, and skirt), as well as her memorable 2003 Super Bowl halftime performance outfit — the Marc Bouwer-designed black pleather-duster coat and velvet skirt with rhinestone embellishments and many more.
  • Shania is a five-time GRAMMY Award-winner and the reigning Queen of Country Pop. With more than 75 million albums sold worldwide and U.S. sales topping 34.5 million, Shania remains the top-selling female country artist of all time. Shania’s albums include her Platinum-selling 1993 debut, Shania Twain; the GRAMMY Award-winning, Double Diamond-selling 1995 release, The Woman in Me; Come On Over, the best-selling studio album in Soundscan history by a female artist in any genre and the best-selling country album of all time with over 40 million units sold worldwide; and UP!, Shania’s third consecutive Diamond-selling album release.
  • Recognizing her indelible impact and achievements in music, Shania is the first and only female artist to receive CMT’s Artist of a Lifetime Award. She was also honored with the Icon Award at Billboard’s Women in Music ceremony. Shania’s hits include “Any Man of Mine,” “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” “You’re Still the One,” and “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!”.
  • NOW album preorder packages are available now at Shania’s official store. Fans can find exclusive items only available through preorder including a sequin leopard print bomber jacket and a vinyl record with a personalized voice greeting from Shania. Fans can also hear Shania’s NOW playlist HERE. For more information, please visit www.shaniatwain.com.

Shania Twain (LATGG) OC: …stylistically. :49
“This song is very, it’s got a lot of conflict where it’s very true to my life and my story and my thinking at the time of the very first lyric – ‘I wasn’t just broken/I was shattered’ – like this just doesn’t get any worse, you know, in mind my mind, emotionally. But then the chorus is really catchy, and there’s the irony of all these happy, cheerful voices in there and the craft of the song itself. I mean, ‘Life’s about this, life’s about that, life’s about to get good,’ and that’s just a play on words and that’s just me as a song and that’s just me, the songwriter, having fun. I think this is just a more complete picture of me as an artist. It’s a more complete picture. There’s an extra element there that is deeper into my story, my personal story, but it’s the same songwriter stylistically.”

Shania Twain (LATGG) 2 OC: …of the song. :41
“Well, the song is a little bit of a departure of its own on this album. It’s definitely one of the more chirpy songs on the album, that’s what I would say, but it still has that melancholy story to it in the verses. We’re not quite there yet, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel type of the thing. That’s what the song is about obviously, and it’s a little bit of a satire this song. I’m kind of making fun of that and I’m having fun with like, ‘Oh boy, [I] can’t wait for things to get better. I can see the light. I’m going to head there toward that.’ And then I just sort of make fun with that in the musicality of the song.”.

Another song we can add to the NOW tracklist: "All In All"

BIO

We cherish the past, and we look forward to the future, but we live in the now

Three decades into her storied career as the “top-selling female country artist of all-time,” Shania Twain confidently embraces the moment on her triumphant fifth full-length and first album since 2002, the aptly titled Shania NOW. Assuming the role of sole songwriter for the first time and overseeing production as a co-producer, this is the woman the world knows and loves at her brightest, boldest, and best. This is the singer who rose from poverty in Ontario, Canada to winning five GRAMMY Awards, selling 75 million albums worldwide, earning the title “Queen of Country Pop,” penning the best-selling memoir From This Moment, and achieving an unprecedented three Diamond-certified albums—1995’s 12x-platinum The Woman In Me, 1997’s 20x-platinum Come On Over (the best-selling studio album in Soundscan history by a female artist in any genre), and 2002’s 11x-platinum Up. This is the powerhouse voice behind “You’re Still The One,” “From This Moment On,” “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” “Honey, I’m Home,” “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!”, and “Come On Over,” to name a few. This is the fighter who returned from a quietly debilitating eight-year bout with Lyme Disease to headline a show-stopping two-year Las Vegas residency in 2012, launch 2015’s comeback “Rock This Country” tour, and receive a 2016 Billboard Women in Music “Icon Award.”

This is Shania NOW.

“I had to go through a lot in life to get to where I am,” she admits. “I can actually say that I’m home. Optimism is what you hear.”

That attitude drives the music. Throughout 2015 and 2016, Shania assembled what would become these 16 tracks. Splitting sessions between Switzerland, the U.S., England, and the Bahamas, she assumed the role of executive producer and co-produced every song with a handpicked dream team: Ron Aniello, Matthew Koma, Jacquire King, and Jake Gosling. Implementing acoustic instruments like mandolin, banjo, percussion, and guitar, the sonic palette carries what she refers to as “an organic thread” with “a bit of a retro sound, often veering from roots-y to soulful.

Over this vibrant instrumentation, her songwriting takes center stage.

“I’m a songwriter first,” she exclaims. “That absolutely drives everything. It was a big step toward independence. I pushed myself, knowing it was going to scare me and knowing that I, alone, was responsible for however it turned out. I love collaborating, but I didn’t want any emotional, psychological, or musical influence.  The minute you invite somebody into that space, you’re influenced. And then it wouldn’t be me. It wouldn’t be pure. This may be the purest work I ever do.”

As a result, Shania holds nothing back. Over sunny countrified guitars and backed by gospel-style harmonies on the first single “Life’s About to Get Good,” the songstress directly addresses her 2008 divorce with a wink and her head up high admitting, “I wasn’t just broken; I was shattered,” before adding, “I’m ready to be loved, and loved the way I should, life’s about to get good.”

“The song started out being about letdown and disappointment,” she admits. “When I was writing it, I was at home looking out at the ocean, and I said to myself, ‘Here I am stuck in this past of negativity, but it’s so beautiful out. I’m not in the mood to write a feeling-sorry-for-myself song.’ Because with all that **** comes all the great things, too. That’s what the song ended up being about. You can’t have the good without the bad.”

That understanding courses through the tracklisting. The handclaps and wailing guitar of opener “Swinging With My Eyes Closed” cooks up idyllic images of summer juxtaposed with the fighting spirit she so naturally flaunts—“I follow like a season not afraid of what I’m feeling.”

“Whether it’s joy or pain, the first thing we do when we experience a feeling is close our eyes,” she continues. “If you watch newborn babies, their eyes aren’t open yet, but they’re waving their fists in front of them. They’re swinging with their eyes closed. This is who we are intrinsically. I’ve often gone through things with my fists forward like, ‘I don’t know if what’s coming is going to be good or bad, but dammit, I’m ready for it’.”

Then, there’s the lilting acoustic guitar and dobro of “Light of My Life,” which evokes the smoky sultry spark of late sixties and early seventies Laurel Canyon as she croons, “Today to you, I’m invisible. Tomorrow, you’ll still be out of reach. Someday, you and I will be possible. We’ll be alone making love on the beach.” Meanwhile, “Who’s Going to Be Your Girl” meditates on the grief of “realizing that you’re not the priority in someone’s life.”

Everything culminates on the epic finale “All In All” where she leaves one final word, “I’m still myself but I’ve changed. Things I always thought were strange aren’t that strange at all, all in all.”

With all the changes, she’s still the one on Shania NOW

She smiles, “I’ve been gifted with the ability to relate to people through music. That’s my comfort zone. Some people only feel comfortable socializing at work, or in a bar. But when you have music to connect you, it’s a really cool experience. I want people to feel moved by the album. It’s really just an emotional exchange. I hope I can provoke that in a listener.”

Ok, but let's be real... You haven't said one positive thing about Shania since you've been a member of this site, lol. We all expected a negative review from you.

I understand what "Butters" and "Tanya" is saying. I've never been a huge fan of the song since day 1. There's something "annoying" about it and not a song I can put on repeat play.

Well Tommy if  Shania's song is so annoying to you then don't listen to or report on it or give news about it. I find it amazing that her worst crtics are her socalled die hard fans.  She has gotten positive reviews from almost every   site i have seen. People who are not big fans of Shania even like this song but Tommy doesn't. Welll we are all entitled to our opinion. I think this song is a very good song song and an amazing comeback song like the vast majority or people who are fan or who are not really big fans think. I am really shocked at some of the comment here about Shania's lead off single. I know we are all entitled to an opinion and have different views but wow i don't get at all the negative comments about this song. I think the vast majority have spoken though. It is fantastic song with great arrangement and catchy chorus.  But like i said there will always be that one or two or three that don't like it and that is fine. Thankfully the vast majority do.

It's ridiculous! If you're a fan, shut up and ignore the song?! It's normal for a person in general to have a good sense of criticism. After all, it's Tommy's website and through the years he's proven to be one of Shania's most loyal fans. Being a fan doesn't mean wearing pink glasses and love everything a star does and makes. And I personally think that with the song the majority you're talking about likes the person, Shania, and that's why they are not so critical about the song. Everybody loves Shania in the first place and has waited for her new music for so long and these facts sell the song and not the song itself. We'll see if this song can stand the test of time like her previous records. I doubt that as I got tired of it so quickly. But it doesn't stop me from being a fan. I still hope there are better songs on the album and I've purchased it because I've waited for her return and it's silly to give up on her now. I just think LATGG is a pretty avarage record for a songwriter like that. But it's just one of 16 songs on the album.

Um,to all those who don't like it, listen to it a few more times. I freaking LOVE it. I think the build up to the final chorus is ****ing life! I love the contrast of the lyrics and the music on the verses and that final chorus is just... just... ugh! how do you not wanna get up and start dancing! The song is getting awesome reviews and it's going to make the whole of Top 40 irrelevant. Sorry but this song is sooooo much better than Love Gets Me Everytime or Boots or I'm Gonna Getcha Good or any one of other lead singles.

And the ironic thing thing is i am not the one posting negative stuff about Shania or her music this time lol Well i actually have a good life here just thought i would start posting again a bit since Shania has new music out. Have fun being negative about her new song and upcoming album. i won't be posting or reading it anymore, a big downer coming here to read this. Life is too valuable to waste being negative on a site. It is summer and i will be too active and busy to be here, i will pick up Shania's album in September and enjoy it,

As I said yesterday. I'm a huge fan of the song, because it's so freaking catchy! However, I do believe you should have heard it for a few times. It's very layered, especially the chorusses, which I like (the clapping is realling getting to me). I agree though with some critics here that she has released better lead singles (IGGG for instance), but usually nowadays the song with the biggest hit potential is released as 2nd or 3rd single when the album gets released. Let's hope she can pull off some nice chart positions worldwide :)!

That means you are the authority to tell Tommy what he should listen and report on his website and what shouldn't but if someone objects to you and has their own opinion then they are too negative for you to accept their right to exist. You will go on writing how negative we are opposed to you who recovered his sight. WOW! The most negative thing happens here when someone so positive blames somebody for a different point of view and instead of just passing by the messages starts to react on every single bit of the given opinion. That's way too positive for me - HA-HA!

To LJ-R: I've listened to it a lot since it first appeared after Stagecoach. I'm not saying the song is bad but it's avarage comparing to her other songs (even the lyrics of Today Is Your Day are more interesting for me). Usually I wanted to listen to her new songs on repeat but this time it didn't happen. Well, it's OK. As you said the 2nd and 3rd singles could be more interesting so I'll just wait for the album. It won't take long now. :)

I'm glad that you like it, truly I am. I just wish that after waiting for so long that I liked this song better. Perhaps as a fan I will not be able to make the transition over to her post Mutt work. Those songs were perfection for the most part and this new stuff "Today is Your Day" and now this new single just sound so second rate....

Ok, but let's be real... You haven't said one positive thing about Shania since you've been a member of this site, lol. We all expected a negative review from you.

Says the "new" poster with his 7 posts.....yet knows what I have said about Shania since I joined this site...strange lol At least have the courage to post as your real self.....

And if you did actually follow all my posts then you would know that there are things about Shania that I love and things I really don't like. I don't follow her, or any artist, blindly.

For the most part I love most of her TWIM and COO songs. Some of those songs like "When" and "TWIM" are some of my all time favorite songs put out by any artist. I wasn't a huge fan of "Up" despite really liking some of the songs on that album but it got silly with "She's Not Just a Pretty Face" and "Waiter Bring Me Water!" and "Juanita".

I think she is a terrific performer and was a wonderful singer (her voice is not the same and never will be). But I also give TONS of credit to Mutt--he is the true musical genius between the two of them. It is because of his musical producing know how and song tweaking that made her the huge star she became in the 90's (and any "real" fan would agree with that). He took her decent songs and made them incredible with is lyrical tweaking and producing. That is why I feel any new songs/albums will be lacking without his influence and probably why she took so long to put out new music (she knows how much he helped her music). Ask ANY artist he helped and they will give him total credit for what he does for their music....

So perhaps her new music will not meet my "Shania standards" but hoping a few of the songs on the album are decent (I'm thinking my best bet will be the ballads since her new uptempo stuff without Mutt is lacking the sass and attitude from the past).

There is no way that I can keep Life's About....on repeat, it just bores me to much. I can listen to AMOM and YWML and DBS over and over again.....but the new single is too repetitive for me...

Completely agree with this post!

I understand what "Butters" and "Tanya" is saying. I've never been a huge fan of the song since day 1. There's something "annoying" about it and not a song I can put on repeat play.

Thanks Tommy. I agree with what your saying.

I've been lurking this forum for years, so I've seen the ins and outs of what gets posted here. As far as Mutt being a "musical genius", I think that's highly overstated. He has a knack for catchy pop songs and knows how to take a good song and make it better, which is the job of every producer. Giving him complete credit for everything she's done is rather insulting and a pathetic attempt to belittle her own talents. It's funny, because this new song is very "Shania" and is quite similar to the music Shania and Mutt made together. The only change Mutt would have likely made to this song is the drums and the addition of his backing vocals. When it comes to lyrics, it's quite obvious that Shania wrote the majority of them in her songs with him.

Anyway, I think it's sad how some of the long-time fans are getting old and bitter and longing for the exact same Shania from almost two decades ago. People change, and you have to realize that her music is going to change with her. Yes, her voice has changed, but that's not something she can help. Naturally, voices change as people get older, but in her case she caught a disease that made it very hard for her to sing. As she said in the interview below, it's something she'll have to live with the rest of her life:

It's totally fine to not like the new material she puts out, but belittling her by saying Mutt had all the talent when it came to the music is rather sad and comes across as bitter. She needs all the support she can get right now, because this has to be one of the hardest things she's ever done (career-wise). There is so much pressure on her to prove herself and criticizing every little thing she does just looks like a sad attempt to bring her down.

Ok, this thread has turned into a back and forth argument about how much we like or dislike LATGG. I'm surprised you have not tried to get things back on track, Tommy. Instead you are engaging in the argument, just trying to further your point that you do not like the new song. I get that some people like it and don't like it. Mutt Lange is a creative genious, BUT I feel like Shania was just a marketing product for him. She could never really explore her own creativity because it was overshadowed by Mutt. Now, she is free to explore her own creativity and herself as an artist.

No, the song does not sound like her old stuff, but this is the year 2017 and music sounds different. It wouldn't even matter if her new song was produced by Mutt Lange, it would still sound different because it is no longer 1995 or 1997, it is 2017. Over twenty years has gone by since these hits were put out. Music in 2017 is going to sound different. The generation is different and time has moved forward.

I love swinging with my eyes closed. I think it's brilliant. It gives me a Little Big Town vibe, something that they would sing. So.... it's pretty on par with today's country music, so I definitely see this one being a hit. I'm so excited for her and this, I can't believe it's all happening!!

Kevy called me out because I called "LATGG" annoying which I have the right to my opinion. So I pointed out that SHANIA even said the song might be annoying this morning on TODAY! As they say, great (musical) minds think alike. biggrin

Everyone is blown away by "Swinging". It's a great song now that I listened to it a few times.
With this album I think Shania will prove she doesn't need that cheating b*****d to create great songs.

It must have been difficult for her to choose the lead single for this album. I read that Eja actually picked the lead single for her! Not sure if that's true, but that's kind of special. Swinging is a great song as well as LATGG. Can't wait to hear the diverse type of sounds and arrangements on this album!

Most people in the industry, and we are talking about top artist and producers, people MUCH more knowledgable than you and I, all feel that Mutt is a musical genius. And I'm sure Shania feels the same way. Thus, why she had so many issues after he left her. And why she lost confidence and all that horrible stuff. Some Shania fans want to tear him down and not give him credit because of the whole cheating thing. They cannot separate their hatred of the man from his musical genius and his STRONG influence over Shania's career. She owes him a lot. From financing TWIM she can could have the freedom to make her music to working his magic lyrically to being one heck of a producer, Shania is indebted to Mutt. Without Mutt there would never have been the Shania that we know and love. Without him contacting her and offering her financial freedom, she would just have been a small time country singer that was struggling....it's not easy to make it and obviously we all know the story behind her first album and how it failed....he saved her.

With that being said, I don't find Life's About to Get Good sounding anything like the Mutt and Shania days. It has no edge or sass.

And I did not say Mutt deserves all the credit, that would be a false and silly thing to say. But I strongly believe, judging by her early songs and songs that were drastically changed by Mutt, that Mutt was a main contributor to her lyrics, and obviously her sound. I don't agree with your assessment that Shania wrote most of the lyrics. But no use fighting over that point. Mutt had the lyrical credentials and had written Many successful songs before Shania came on the scene--so his lyrical prowess was very well documented by that time.

But with that said, I wish her the best. The above video is depressing with her damaged vocals. That would be very hard to deal with. And thus, why her voice now sounds the way that it does. Even her speaking voice is so different.

I'd like to add. I was impressed with the lyrics sheet shown in her Homecoming TV programme back in 2004. There were her lyrics of You're Still The One and his corrections over her writing. There were a lot of them! So yes, he edited her stuff a lot, even the lyrics (that's why LATGG souds so rough to me with clumsy rhymes in the verses, I think).

I think the reason why emotions are high about this is because people on these forums are (in theory), die hard Shania fans, not just people who "sort of like her". So when it's perceived that people are putting her down, a lot of people don't like it. I have been looking at this forum for YEARS before i decided to join it. So just because someone is new to the forums, that doesn't mean that they are suddenly a new Shania Twain fan.

It's perfectly normal to like some of Shania's songs more than others and give opinions about how a certain song is amazing, but another song is just OK. Those are our opinions. BUT when people start to attack her character and her creativity by saying things like "She would be nowhere without Mutt Lange" "Mutt did all of the creative work for her and fixed her songs", "her songs are fluffy and awkward". To me, that sounds like its coming out of the mouth of someone who doesn't necessarily respect Shania Twain. It makes me wonder why someone would even join these forums if they don't necessarily care for Shania that much or respect her work?

I think that being a true fan to any artist, you need to appreciate their creativity and personality as an artist. She is a unique singer and an amazing songwriter with amazing talent. We all know that Mutt Lange called her up on the phone and liked her voice and offered to pay for The Woman In Me. Those are facts, we all know them, its ancient history. Now its 2017, it has been about 25 years since Shania Twain came onto the scene. Many things have changed in her career. But the songs are not going to sound like the "Mutt Lange" songs from before because #1 He's not in the picture anymore and #2 As I said, music sounds different now in 2017. Its no longer 1995 or 1997 or 2002. Its 15 years later and music sounds different with or without Mutt Lange's help. I don't dispute any of the facts about Mutt Lange and what he has contributed to her music. But lets try to embrace Shania NOW!

Clumsy rhymes in the verses? Have you listened to the "Up!" album? Haha. There are several songs on there that have "clumsier" rhymes than any lines in this song. I actually don't find any of the rhymes in this clumsy and think it flows pretty well.

100% agree. I think some fans have become a bit angry with Shania over the years for taking so long to release music & blame her for the closure of the Shania Twain Centre, the Shania Forums, the Official Fan Club & other fan sites, etc. It's time to move on from all that. A new era has begun.

Great post BoiCurtis.
The music scene has changed sooo much since 2002 and I don' t know if Shania/Mutt style would fit in today scenario.
Plus, what people might forget is that Shania has always said, since day one of this album, to forget about her previous works. She told that even to her new producers.

But I find normal that her new songs don' t like or convince everybody. Being a fan of someone doesn't mean to embrace 100% of what an artist does. I mean, if you're an objective fan you don' t... I've often critized her lately for the delay of new music and for the way she deals with media, but now I'm so happy she's finally back.
I believe she's got lots of surprises up her sleeve with this album and I feel everybody will be happy in the end.
All in all, she's still herself, but she's changed
