Hi Angie; Yes its fun living where Shania was born. I lived here in Windsor for 52 years. In 1995, when Shania made a name for herself, I started to look for the place where she was born. I'm still kind of confused that nobody knows. I thought there might be some records at City Library, but NONE. I'll keep on trying.

I am King Walter(walter is not my real name). I live in a castle on a mountain top. People come to me for advice on all things SHania. My opinions are 99% correct and I rarely am wrong. I have been a huge fan of Shania for over 10 years but lately she has really distanced herself from her fans,the industry and everything that made her so rich and successful. I keep wanting to defend Shania when she tells dishonest things and isn't honest with the fans but it becomes harder and harder to defend her. I will always be a fan of her music but Shania as a person has lost credibility with many of her fans. To me she has become lazy and even more reclusive once she became so rich and successful. This is my opinion and as I have said I am usually correct. I would love to hear the excuse her management or SHania come up with if she doesn't have an album out this year. This excuse would be the last straw for many fans. Shania has mislead them for too long and taken them for fools.
I don't for a moment feel Shania has been dishonest with her fans. I think when she answered questions about her new cd she answered honestly. Then guess what LIFE HAPPENED and for whatever the personal reasons the new cd did not materialize. She has in my humble opinion always been honest with her fans. As well, I in no way expected communication from her while she has been on hiatus. I don't think any stay at home mom should be criticized for her choice to be a stay at home mom. Shania also admitted her immense popularity became difficult to deal with. No I congratulate her on her decision to stay out of the limelight. Other big stars have taken long extended breaks and there was no communication from them for several years (Bruce Springsteen of whom I am a huge fan and I waited a long time to get an album and a chance to again see him live), the Eagles again there was zero communication and no reports from them on how their hiatus was going and their were rumours of new cds etc and none materialized...I highly recommend all of you to see both acts as they are incredible live. I have given 2 examples but there are so many more. What Shania has done is not unique to her. In my opinion I think she is being picked on because she is a women. She owes us nothing....nothing at all. She has given us so much and it sounds like she intends to give us more. It matters not if the cd is this year or next. It will be well worth the wait. Shania will be like a breath of fresh air when she does come back. I suspect I will be attacked for having my opinion but this is what it is....taking a hiatus is not at all unique.

Why should you get attacked for your thoughts... You shouldn't... Now I am not saying you won,t... but you shouldn't.... Actually I think you are pretty much bang on with your thoughts... If you believe SHania has been honest then I have some land in Iraq I want to sell you. You can make any excuse you want but I can go back and caught her in several non truths. Shania has not been honest and I have documented statements from her interviews to prove it. I think being a Shania fan also means not defending her blindly over every little thing. SHania has been dishonest, those are facts.
Hey Chris! Yea Im not far from Shania's home in Wanaka. I live in Dunedin a city on the East Coast of the South Island. I was lucky enough to spend a week in Wanaka over New years this year and I was out on the Lake and spotted where her property was and took some photos

Unfortunatly I have not spotted Shania in Wanaka (yet). The resort gets really busy over summer but I did keep my eyes open for a lady in a baseball cap :P which she is usually wearing.
The picture I have posted is looking over Lake Wanaka to the Motatapu (Station) Valley which is the wide valley just above the boat. At the base of the valley on the waters edge you can see trees... thats Glendhu Bay and you enter Shania's property from the main road over there. I was over in Glendhu Bay for 15 mins or so but I was with friends and I didnt want them to think I was a stalker by taking photos of her property lol! Anyway I hope you enjoyed your geography lesson and like the picture of just a slice of what our beautiful country has to offer.

Hi All , Hi George I was visiting Birmingham last year in september. I was at the LDV plant.For me it was a nice time because i was never in the UK.Was nice to see how people work in another place.You know the place ? ttyl ok byeeee
Hi Georege, No , i wasn't at the centre but the guys at the plant told me that it was changed alot over the years .I was visiting the plant for 3 days for my company and it was to short to go to the city centre.But hey maybe next time who knows you can show the centre to me.

She used to draw a smiling heart in her old fan club letters during the ST and TWIM era. She wrote that quote by it a lot.
