I was wondering what sort of cd everyone is hoping for from Shania. A sort of more rock sounding disc like COO or a softer touch like her UP cd. For myself, I am hoping for more of a country sounding disc with drums like her COO cd. It will be interesting to see what she does come up with.
That's a good question! I don't know, but, it'd be interesting if she does the various discs per region again like she did with UP!. Maybe she'll just make one cd. Maybe three. LOL! All I want is SOMETHING! HAHAHA!
I wonder too if she will release 2 versions again. In some ways I think fans expect this from her. I know I enjoyed listening to both versions. I know when she was asked if the next cd will be country or pop she said it would have more of a pop beat to it. I hope it is out in september.
WOW... You two are getting WAY ahead of yourselves. The way it sits tonight, I would take a revamp version of Man I feel like a woman, performed by Walter as he tap dances on a world tour. I kind of feel we are all so desperate we might buy at ticket to see it.. Bob
I only hope that the country version if there will be one, that it will be a more familiar country sound. Maybe something along the lines like TWIM. I was a Shania fan before the cross over appeal took its place, so I'm from way back.
So I do wonder if we will get multiple versions again.
Well there has been cross over in country music long before Shania and often times they say these singers come back full circle. I hope Shania does that. I mean she does the different versions which I have no problem with, I only wish the country version was more familiar and not so unorthodox in style. UP green in many ways was too similar to UP red. Just plugging in banjos, steel guitar, and fiddles isn't enough. Come on Shania, you know this is your comfort zone.
I would like her next CD to be packaged with pre-made videos to a select group of songs. I would also like one of those videos to be "SHOES"!!! I felt so cheated by not getting a video to that song.
As for songs on the next CD.......a few that tug at your heart strings. All the rest, have at it!!!
Shana was asked this question by a french television station at a Switzerland even in June of 2007. She said her new album will have a pop tone.
Well as you say Shania who contradicts herself may have been telling her Euro counterparts one thing while she'll tell her North American counterparts something else, lol.

One never knows with her. ;) wink wink
You are right, Shania contradicts herself all the time. I only stated what she said, I didn't say it was true. But she has pop songs for her Euro and Asia fans so I see her just catoring to her fans in different countries like she has always done.
Shania has the looking-damn-good part down pat, now the next best revenge is releasing her most successful and powerful record to date, which heartbreak and wanting to kick the a** of the "other woman" should help create.
Shania said the best way for her to her speak is through her music, I think we can expect a lot of songs on this new album, she's always trying to better herself as a song-writer. Hopefully she's making or has made arrangements about how, where and when she'll record, if there's going to be zero involvement from Mutt this time.
I have a feeling there will be zero input from Mutt unless they already had a few songs ready for the cd maybe she would keep those if she liked them. Apparently Mutt and Shania had fights and could not agree on this cd. I guess only time will tell. I hope we hear soon she has chosen a producer to work with.
