Well it is that time of year.. Planning summer getaways.. Now being local you might think I am being bias but if you don't trust me,trust Shania.. There is a reason she built her modest log cottage on Lake of Bays.. I can tell you from personal experience..It is a BREATHTAKING location.. I would HIGHLY suggest Nor'Loch Lodge located on Lake of Bays.. For $250 per night(PER ROOM) this is what you get.. Lovely/spotless waterfront cottage for 2 adults including all meals in main dining room. The cottages are very well appointed with beautiful views of Lake of Bays.. The home cooked style meals are exellent. The wilderness atmosphere is totally romantic. There is nothing not to love about this spot and who knows you might run into Shania picking up some of Mutts favourite chocolate in the town of Hunstsville.. The lodge is a short drive from Huntsville, which even though small has lots of little shops/restraunts/pubs etc and the town is waterfront. Deerhurst,again a short drive from your cottage(where the spirit of Shania still lives) is offering for $35 per persion, their music review on "Shania" stage.. The current show is called "Canada RockS".. I have not seen this one but the shows are always top notch..Be sure to view all the amazing Shania photos.Trust me..It will give you chills.. As far as location..About 2.5 hours north of Toronto so you can base it from there if it is too far a drive. I would think 3 nights would be perfect but you are talking close to $1000 including show tickets/booze/gas etc... I know it sounds like alot but when you break it down ...$250 including meals for 2 adults... Sure the H beats a Holiday Inn and Pizza Hut for supper... And who knows.. You might even get an autograph....Bob
