Wow... You had to be on the Eagles forums after the news broke that Henley and Frey let the leash loose on Joe Walsh on that Great Melbourne Austrilia night.. For those who don't know Walsh's story it is so sad and so happy.. On top of the world until the booze caught up to him...So bad that Henley and Frey delegated him the background rythm guitar.. Well Joe got is act together, dry for years and talk about Karma..The Eagles get back together.. For eagles fans it was a night of celebration..Joe was back along with his unquestionable talent..(MY SPACE VIDEO) Listen to his intro..Booze hit him so bad that his speech is STILL effected but watch the music genious talent kick in.. Watch Henly keeping a close eye on him(totally stunned)...They gave Joe back the stage after so many years of his battle..Trust me.....Eagle fans wept..I was one of them... Alot of people have no time for those who fall to booze /drugs or simply battle with a wounded mind ..NOT ME.... Two of the angel voices of my time were robbed from me...Karen Carpenters mind allowed her to starve herself until her heart stopped, Whitney Houston...Well you know the sad story.. Having said that HEAVY rumours state that she is ready and I can't wait...Drug problem or whatever does not matter to me.. If she can beat it and step back to where she was... all the power to her..That is a CD I will BUY not download in respect for her fight... ANYHOW.. In the meantime...Do yourself a favour..Google...MY SPACE..THE EAGLES..ONE DAY AT A TIME.... Listen to Joe in a brave manner tell his story through song..It might not inspire everyone but trust me every AA meeting taking place anywhere will come to their feet in their little meeting room and applaude him...I personally feel we all should.. Needless to say when I get my tickets they will be Right Floors..Right in front of Joe...Reports on the net state that since that night, Joe has ran with this new responsiblity and so many say he is actually now stealing the show... No Joe Walsh IS NOT Henley or Frey because he is an entertainer and to me that what it is all about..Entertaining....Bob
He Bob: I know what you mean about the Eagles. I have loved them for a long while. I even saw them in concert in the late 70's before they split. They truly are a great band. I did not know about Joe Walsh as did not follow what happened, why they broke up etc. It is terrific to hear about someone who has overcome his/her demons to find their way again. If the Eagles come to Vancouver I may very well go see them again because of what you had to say.
My goodness Lulu....I would never have guessed you to have that many years on you... Pretty soon you will be telling us that Leave it to Beaver was your favourite TV show followed up by Andy Griffith show... Anyhow...If you get the chance and have deep pockets I am pretty certain you would love the show..Also the new CD is beautiful music... Not really upbeat stuff...More mind/head stuff but beautifully written and sung in typical eagle harmony....Bob
lol Bob, Leave it to Beaver was ahead of my time. I was young when I saw the Eagles. I have not picked up their latest cd but I will. I like what I have heard so far. As for my age, I probably am amongst the oldest of the posters but still young by todays standards. I will let you sort that out. If the Eagles come to Vancouver, we probably will see them.
Hey Lulu i'm impressed, i thought too that you were youngeri was guessing you'd be in your 30's. well that only means one thing, that you got a young soul and that's priceless. well,i don't mean that you're old,is just that you're sound younger and that's a good thing.

Thank you country gal, yes I am older and may very well be the oldest on this board but I am young at heart. Music keeps us young lol and yes I do feel young because of music. I would like to know the age bracket of you and others who post here.
I think it is safe to say Tina and I are perhaps in the same age bracket while lulu and Bob in the same just going by what has been said. Not sure of the rest... It doesn't matter to me as I always say, you are only as old as you feel, age is but a number.
Man this has been one freaky posting.. All I wanted you guys to do is watch a 4 minute song as to why I find Joe Walsh so inspiring.. It has now turned into a guess my age contest... Lulu...I never thought you were older than me...Did you not read my posting(above)...I never thought you to be born in the 1800s COOL.. As far as 2nd...My call...Pretty close to 35. Country Gal... I won't tell you BUT....One clue that a woman should figure out....She still wears her hair LONG...Has not gone to that "short" cut look yet...That should be a MAJOR clue as to her age... Now if any of you want to take this little game further I am in... For example....2nd...My call...Hair starting to receed abit on both sides,,,Lulu...Still buys 2 piece bathing suits, Country gal....loves her natural coloured long black hair and will NEVER have it coloured.. 2nd...Loves to eat pheasant and duck meat,,Country gal..LOVES souvlaki, Lulu..She loves EVERYTHING but is always ordering boring stuff in restraunts like the Garden salad with tasteless low cal dressing.. Bob
LOL, that's too much. Not sure about the rest but with me, my blond hair is still in tack and you are off the age guessing scale by a half dozen years. Although I do like pheasant and duck, lol.
OK,i see that Bob's been liying about his age,we all now that he is 120, hey Bob grow up already HA HA 2nd is not 35 but he does sound like a mature man,i thought that he was older too whoops. as for me ,i don't LOVE souvlaki i just like to have one from time to time but with chicken not pork, yikes. i don't have black hair,my color is more a dark brown and gets even lighter in summer AND i do eat many salads too not only Lulu lol btw Bob i WON'T change my hair color but how did you know??you've been talking to Timminslover eh?? ha ha i love this thread btw hair means nothing, just look at Mutt wow he has better hair that some guys at their 20's he he

Lol at all the age guessing. It sounds like country gal and 2nd Ammendment are in their late twenties. Bob, I think you are approaching your middle years remember 40 is the new 50. You are right about salads, I do eat a lot of them but I enjoy food period. As for my hair, its shoulder length, I 've grown it out from a short cut, Jim likes my hair longer. So far I have not minded growing older....I guess it just has not caught up with my brain yet. Lol about the bathing suits. Country Gal I love chicken souvlaki too and I would love to have Mutt Langes curly hairl lol

Just keep thinking young guys, eat well and the number will never represent the true feeling of your age.
Tina, my hair turns much lighter in the summer months as well, although my hair overall has darkened in my adult life compared to my childhood. When I was a little boy my hair in summer use to look so bright and white like my head represented a light bulb, lol.
Hey 2nd..Let me have my fun..I may have finally found someone(country gal) that is as warped as me... Kinda of like that warped line you used once(the sneaking up behind with the chair line)..Now that was warped but really funny..By the way Country gal..
Lol this site is starting to sound like a dating service. It is a lot of fun reading these posts. I think I will remain a mystery in terms of my looks. After all women of mystery always have the most fun.lol
Hey lulu...VERY TRUE...But c,mon....If country gal will tell us her topless story you can at least tell us... A bikini or a one piece....That British Columbia has a pretty liberal attitude...I will say....A bikini in Stanley Park....Bob
