And once again Flyers make mistakes last night and Pens capitalize. And five defensemen most of the game after Coburn goes down. This ain't helping. Grr...

Not to say it is over as I am more than aware that one win on home ice can turn a series on its head...Having said that I would say that both Montreal and Philly in all the excitement might be getting ahead of themselves..To go from where they were over the last 2 years to cup winner this year...WOW..Alot to expect..Having said that the future looks good....NOW...Generally rumours in toronto don't go away and there is generally a strong basis behind them...Carter coming to Toronto WON"T stop..You might not be hearing them as needless to say the press in philly know not a push this topic during a playoff run...BUT it seems many sources are onto it in Toronto...Stay tuned..Bob

I'll have no problem finding a Shania gig. I live only about 3 miles from the Arena where she'll be playing in my city.

Hey this is a set up...Two against one..I figure you two are planning ways on private to set me up..I try to be a nice guy inviting Georgy Bob to Canada to see shania even though it will bring you two love birds together and what does he do..Says..Thanks but no thanks...I am taking her to the new 02 arena to see shania.. So much for being the nice guy...George...Maybe somebody will call in sick and you can go back to work tomorrow...What really has me worried is little Christina knows I am gone ALL day on Wed and Thursdays...Man..What timing

Lol reading all the posts here. I think it would be great if we could get together (all of us) for one Shania concert. Bob is onto something there. It would be absolutely great and Hamilton sounds like the city to do it in. Lets throw this out there and see how it all works out. I know Tina that England would be closer for you too but don't you want to see Canada and the US. Let that thought sink in for all of us and see where we all end up.

Yeah, the Carter trade rumors never seem to end.  You are right, the Habs and Flyers came from so far last season to be here and it was a lot to expect.  Especially for the Flyers who were the league worst last season, but what a turnaround to rebuild in one season and make it to the Conference finals!

This one is done as the Flyers did not show up to play tonight.  I think two sweeps will be made and the Wings will beat the Pens in five.  Wings are strong!

You guys are all much too humorous, lol. Timminslover shows up and this place gets turned upside down!

I for one am indeed a blond and at 28 I still get checked for id at places that serve alcohol as my friends never do. It must be the good health regimen that keeps one seeming more youthful than they are going by age, lol. Just ask Shania, lol, she's more than aware and a fine example!! smile.gif

Bobby Orr...Actually his Hall of Fame building is right in town...Anyhow...Last night on anchor was cold enough and tonight about 38 for an overnight low..So much for the Parry Sound hawl. Is it ever going to warm up???

because we are going during the convention days, oh, i forgot this year the convention is 7-11 of August,and we won't need a sticky,just post under the Timmins etc.section.
of course i wouldn't mind if we weren't going during the convention days but i just thought it would be fun because this year a lot of people are going.smile

Yup I recall a sign for the hall of fame on my drive up route 69 heading for Sudbury.

This has been a cold month of May here too.

Maybe the expression "youngster" is a very English one.smile

I don't know where the time goes. It only seems like yesterday I was 16 and had the world in front of me. I sometimes wish I could live it all again and maybe make a better job of it all.

Good news for my Eagles tickets...After selling out 2 shows and the scalpers holding ALOT of tickets...Guess what??...They announce a 3rd show on the Thursday night.. They go on sale at 10:00am this morning...It is no good for me as I can not go on the Thursday but should take a bit of price pressure off on the 2 shows that I can go to....Time will tell....Bob

i don't know but i got a feeling  shania would be doing duets pretty soon,i always wondered what was stoping her if she wanted it so bad to do it,she has some great friends in country -rock music that would be eager to help her,maybe it was Mutt after all who stood in her way.

Well guess where I was from 3:oopm-5:30pm today eastern...Well being the wonderful hubby I am,I took Cindy to see "Sex and the City"......EXELLENT.  If you followed the series I really don't think you will be disappointed. If you never followed the series...Not to worry...You will know what is going on in the first 5 minutes and likely will want to go out and buy series Year"1.... Highly recommended....18 years and over..I would say that is a fair rating....Enjoy

Well here I go again...EAGLE TALK...But thats OK...I am in the NO shania talk room...If you are not intrested...just scroll...

If you are still here...I just got finished listening to YES...Another Eagle masterpiece...WASTED TIME...You might not know the name but trust me..You know the song... I always thought it was simply about another song on the sorrow of marriage break up....UNTIL...My smart wife Cindy pointed out...No Bob..You are missing the huge final line in the song...IT WASN'T REALLY WASTED TIME...Typical woman..Always smarter than  a guy... I mean it...Bob listen she said......What the song is saying is that even they are split/not talking and so on...It still wasn't "wasted time"...They still did love,they were still at one time friends,they did at one time have fun...And in no way is that wasted time..
Hopefully some day this song will mean something to all of us who go through hurt as the result of losing a loved one..It might be by death,marriage split or whatever...Yes as Henley says...It really wasn't "wasted time".

biggrinyeah right, now i got it NOTevileye,
i only speak Greek and English, and if i ever took another language that would be probably French,so i'm lost.
all i know is that 'pista' in Greek ,so i guess in Latin too,among others means "stage" 'primera' might mean "premium" or something?? as for the other words hhmm could 'inicia' means initial??

anyway,i feel sleepy so i can't comprehend much right now...so...SPIT IT OUT BOB.furiousbiggrin

Hey Bob thanks for inviting me to come over here.Popped in to check it out but now i'm here not really sure what to say.I'm not a great conversationalist as you may have noticed from my posts in the other threads but as I said I love to read and am enjoying everyones views.In fact i'm still getting used to being in a chat room and havn't been a big computer user till recently.
If I was to give a description of myself I would say i'm Very quiet shy and introverted .
I had my first child aged 18 married at 19 and we had our second child at age 20.I am very proud to say i'm very happily married and we'll be celebrating our 20th anniversary next year.Never had a honeymoon at the time{no money}so we're planning to take a trip somewhere.I am also exceptionally proud of my two boys.Eldest is in military and youngest soon to go to uni.They have never given us any hassle{so far!!}and I just love being a mum.So thats me.Even I think I sound boring!!

in this board we have some marriage champions like you, which i don't believe your life is boring AT ALL 20 years of marriage sounds absolutely fanastic,if myself a 26 year old gal think that you aren't boring then it's true.
we have Bob and Lulu those are happily married too,and i can tell you that you guys giving us ,the single ones,some hope about marriage.
i was afraid of marriage anyway,and after the shania news i'm even more.
