Now what are they gonna do with a brilliantly illuminated trash truck? I guess they could push/pull it to their next swanky event! But all those lights... (?) Good thing they can use batteries now.
Seriously though, I know I joke about the Puritan lifestyle, However, they do have some endearing qualities, such as faith and family. But still... it's gotta be tough! As your on County Road 233 (or whatever it is there) And you're just enjoying your view from your horse and buggy. Along comes this freakin' purple Ferrari wizz'n past you at 160 mph! * With kittens on the hood, no less. Waddaya thinking there Jebediah?? Is life passing you by? Or is it vice-versa?
I love the Amish, I do admire them, many of them are happy to live the simple good life. I think these people understand what is important in life. I enjoy having them as friends.
Let me tell you though, as a guy who believes a way to a man's heart is through his stomach, those Amish gals sure know how to cook and especially bake!
That may be fine for them, but knowing what I do now... There is NO WAY I could be a recluse from the 14th century. Bless their heart, they bake well and make fine furniture. But on these hot days, they can sweat their ass off for all I care. I'm enjoying the 21st century in a nicely air-conditioned house!
Shania is in a league of her own. She is a leader and took country music worldwide. Shania also has the best body and face in music and charisma. Nobody is in her league. This is quite a weird thread.
Not me! But the music industry is full of lovely and talented women. Fans with tunnel vision need to expand their horizons, even if Shania holds a special place in people's hearts.
yeas Up,i think you are right about that, but objective people think shania as a beauty and me too of course,i had no idea who she was at first and all of my firiends think she is HOT,he he

There have been some gals recently that impress... * Miranda - She's a got a southern-rockier style, sings good/looks good. She moves well without the puck. (that is, onstage when she isn't singing) I believe she just bought a hundred acres in Texas, so she's no dummy either. * Taylor - I didn't pay much attention to the first cut, but I heard her intro "Picture To Burn" at Fanfair, liked it, got the CD. I really like her writing style; However, I think she's becoming a corporate robot. I hope I am wrong. * Ashton Shepherd - I like the hell out of the first song! Where's the next one? It's probably some bs with her label. Stupid labels!
"I've got a cold beer in my right hand In my left I got my weddin' band I been wearin' it 'round now for way too long And I'm more than ready to see it gone And I'm the only one who can set myself free So I'm takin' off this pain you put on me
I remember when you gave me that ring It was supposed to mean somethin' Instead didn't mean a whole lotta nothin' You don't never even talk to me I just get to do your laundry You sit there and you watch the TV Even when I'm lookin' sexy
But now I got this cold beer in my right hand In my left I got my weddin' band I been wearin' it 'round now for way too long And I'm more than ready to see it gone And I'm the only one who can set myself free So I'm takin' off this pain you put on me
And right now I'm feelin' so right Hey, I'm havin' a ball tonight And I'm bein' Noticed for the first time in a long time How 'ya doin' Sittin' at home I hope you feel lost and alone And I hope 'ya Miss me every second that I'm gone
While I got this cold beer in my right hand In my left I got my weddin' band I been wearin' it 'round now for way too long And I'm more than ready to see it gone And I'm the only one who can set myself free So I'm takin' off this pain you put on me
Yeah, I'm the only one who can set myself free So I'm takin' off this pain you put on me
I've got a cold beer in my right hand In my left I got my weddin' band."
------- One more, and then I gotta let ya go for awhile...
* Loretta - Many scoffed when she got Jack White to play with her on Van Lear Rose, but the results are really great! I know the song is written from the woman's perspective, but the words are interchangeable in your head, If you like the melody/words/feel of the song, which of course I do. So there ya go, a couple of songs about wedding bands, -- Go figure!
"I lie here all alone, In my bed of memories I'm dreamin' of your sweet kiss, Oh, how you loved on me.
I can almost feel you with me, Here in this blue moonlight, Oh, I miss being Mrs., tonight
Like so many other hearts, Mine wanted to be free, I've been put here every day, Since you've been away from me
My reflection in the mirror, It's such a hurtful sight, Oh I miss being Mrs. tonight
Chorus: Oh I miss being Mrs. tonight And how I loved them loving arms, That once held me so tight, I took off my wedding band, And put it on my right hand, I miss being Mrs. tonight.
Man i love that song by Ashton Shepherd, that gal has a TWANG,ha ha is one of my favorites lately,Good choice Sharkk, always good to know that there are still men that support women on this earth.
