you know watching these pics a particular song came on my mind,is the duet of Faith with Tim 'Like We Never Loved At All',i don't mean to be corny,but there a line in this songs that says "maybe is that you way of dealing with the pain".
so maybe this is Mutt's way,he just built a huge world class studio,while he is getting a divorce.
he seems to be doing well,and ready to produce some more music,i just hope shania is the same and even better.

Interesting that Mutt allowed these pictures to be released. I guess he is telling the world he still is in business. I hope Shania is doing fantastically and is writing up a storm. I hope she shows Mutt exactly what she is made of.

Mutt is working on Nickelback's new CD.  ;)

When you have the kind of millions that he does, expense doesn't matter and Shania will prove she's back in business, after she's had some time to mend her broken heart.

I too don't feel I can support Mutts work any longer. He is a creep for doing what he did to shania.

I agree to an extent...What are you gonna do if you lose your copy of TWIM?
Not buy it again because it's chalk-full of Mutt? What about AC/DC, or the many others he's done in the past? There's no doubt that what he did to Shania was completely arrogant, and that he needs to be kicked in the balls repeatedly!  
But don't go making yourself crazy, boycott all the stuff he does post break-up.
His recording library is too vast UP until now to discard. (imo)

I would suggest all Mutt's future work sharkk and besides Shania's albums, I'm a country boy who listens to a little rock on the side but I don't own any of those Mutt works other than Shania. When I hear it that's fine, but I don't own any of it. So I'm in the safe zone.

Hello Kay1017us.  Greetings from Stockholm where I have been for a few days before returning to Johannesburg (tomorrow).

You (and Muzikproducer) are a breath of fresh air in all this debate - some objectivity amongst all the bias!  If Shania is the woman we all believe her to be, and she is seeing these exchanges, she probably cringes everytime she reads the vitriole being written about her husband/the father of her son/the man who made her one of the most successful female singers of all time! (And it wouldn't be a bad thing if all his critics remembered that until such time as there is a divorce, he will continue to be her husband.)

Without casting any aspersions on People Magazine and its checking of its "sources", people close to those who have been hurt often say things which are not necessarily the truth - they are frequently upset, angry, and outspoken without being sure of their facts.  And they sometimes speak out unbeknown to those directly involved, or before those involved have had time to think through the issues with a clear head.  (The National Enquirer, on the other hand, capitalises on the amazing appetite of the general public for salacious gossip/'dirt'.  As we all know, but choose to forget at times, certain journalists are very good at rearranging words to make them imply something quite different/a whole lot more sensational than what was originally intended.)  

Mutt Lange is a fine man.  I knew him as a kid growing up (our fathers both worked for Anglo American in the then Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland - now Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi); he has a fine family in South Africa; and he has never walked out on, or abandoned any of his commitments/responsibilities in the past - and I'm certain he is not doing so now.  Shania loves him - if she didn't, she wouldn't be so upset now.  He was besotted with her - only a few months ago they were seen holding hands in restaurants.  If he was such a rotter, why - after 14 years - would she be so heartbroken now at the prospect of the break-up of her marriage???

None of us knows what has led to this split ... but I reiterate, it takes two to make a relationship and two to break it.  It also takes two to pick up the pieces and put them together again. If Shania has now gone back to Switzerland, that is a good thing. It indicates that she has probably cooled off a little and may be ready to think rationally about the causes and possible solutions to her predicament. Both Mutt and Shania are devoted to their son ... they will put his welfare before all else.  And I believe they will also make music together again... probably at the new Swiss studio!

I would very much like to hear Robin Eggars' take on the Lange split .. wouldn't you?  I wonder why no-one in the media has been in touch with him? 

Welcome observer. I also welcome your comments. It is very sad to think that only 2 months ago they were holding hands and now this. I have no doubt they will put Eja first in all future proceeding. I don't think anyone thought Mutt would do anything else. All I can say is that it is very sad that their marriage has come to this. There is nothing positive about divorce.

I agree with you Country Gal, TWO GUYs what every Shania wants i will support her 100 per-cent. But what upset me is that he is not a man that support her, like going to the award shows to say how proud he his of her. All her fans are proud of her. She is a classy lady in my book. Nobody is going to tell me other wise.

My friends - it is midnight in Sweden and I have work to do but I still have things to say after reading all your comments.

Firstly, no-one is doubting, or would ever doubt, your loyalty to Shania - you wouldn't be logging in to these discussions if you did not care for her.

In Africa, it unfortunately often happens that uneducated, primitive people decide amongst themselves that someone is guilty of a crime and then take it upon themselves to metre out punishment.  They beat their victim (who is frequently innocent) to death with bricks, sticks and other makeshift weapons. Take care that you do not unwittingly behave in a similar manner... you are not uneducated, primitive people.

Words are very powerful things - they can become reality if repeated often enough. It is therefore important if we are going to repeat things, to ensure that the messages we convey are positive ones.

Country Gal: I have no idea whether Mutt and Shania will get together again, but I hope that they do.  I'm not sure who actually initiated the public announcement about their separation - I originally thought that it was Mutt - however, people often do unwise things on the spur of the moment, and later regret it.  I agree with you that Mutt should never have let this happen... but Shania also has considerable life experience and the Sant Matt philosophy to guide her... she too should have been able to prevent it. Like you, I was personally devastated when I heard the news. Again like you, I expected more of Mutt, initially holding him responsible for destroying all my romantic illusions. My feeling was that if THEY couldn't keep it together, then no couple would ever be able to do so.  But I soon realised that that was a foolish stance to take.  All around me was evidence of relationships that have weathered the inevitable storms and emerged stronger for having been through them. 

Grape Grower: I think you have hit the nail on the head. Even though I'm sure that Shania has known from the outset that Mutt would never share the limelight with her, and initially thought going it alone would not matter to her, resentment over his "lack of support" has probably been building up slowly over the years.  On the Shania-Twain.co.uk website, in the news section, there is a great article written by Piers Morgan (of 'America's Got Talent' fame) who sat next to Shania en route to the Vegas ACMAs last year. During the flight, she told him her favourite song was "I'm Jealous" (from the 'Up' album).  He asked her if she had been (jealous), and her answer was "Very".  She probably started imagining all sorts of unsavoury scenarios taking place during her frequent absences - especially if she was feeling a little insecure. In those circumstances, it doesn't take much to transform an innocent domestic disagreement into a barrage of wild accusations. Mutt would consider answering those sorts of accusations as being beneath him so he wouldn't have got involved in the argument.  He would probably have just walked away.  Maybe Marie Ann Thiebaud was around to lend a sympathetic ear and some encouraging words ... who knows. But even if that were the case, it doesn't mean he had an affair with her.  I don't believe he did.

By the way, we should probably be having this discussion somewhere else .. it doesn't have much to do with Mutt's new studios!  My fault - sorry.

You'll also find that Piers Morgan article was nothing more than a spoof article too. The guy worked as an editor on some of the most downmarket tabloids over here. He thought this was a funny article I guess.

Welcome Rose...You must believe in Santa claus if you believe the reply that most of us are joking and making light of things with respect to Mutt...That is garbage in my opinion.The reason being is ...Well..Just read the MANY posts for yourself..It never ends...You are right..Most of this site are Mutt bashers...Is it fair???...Court is still in session... In my opinion they both contributed to this mess as I have posted... Did her leave her YEP....Did he sleep around..NO IDEA...Do I trust the sources...NOPE....Do I think Mutt screwed up her life..REP.. Would I want to be married to her...NOPE.....Hopefully you can see that I might not fit the "shania is god" club as much as you might think. As far as getting back together...Well it happens every day but nearly always fails in the END doesn't it

And who's to say that Sant Matt is the way forward. Is it not just another cult? All I saw was that this crackpot religion put unhelpful burdans on Shania living a normal lifestyle.
