Shania Twain's Broken Heart - Letter from a fan

Shania Twain's broken heart

Posted By Amanda Adams

I am a huge Shania Twain fan, and was saddened to hear of the news of the separation from her husband-producer, of 14 years.

After reading her personal message that was posted on her official website for her fan-base, we are thankful she is willing to share music with us again. It makes us feel better knowing our overwhelming support reminds her to smile, no matter how deep the pain. No-one can imagine the torture she must be going through and Mutt Lange needs his head examined to cheat on someone as beautiful and talented as she is. If that also means the end of a professional partnership so be it, she doesn’t need him and can continue to have success all on her own.

She might be labelled a "global super-star icon", but she happens to be the most grounded person. She has always been proud of Canada, what is stands for, and has never forgotten her roots. We are very proud of the number of food distribution programmes she supports as we all know the story from her youth of how she often went to school without a lunch.

I would just like to add that her memorabilia museum has had some negative press with a lot of criticism, but I think it's about time people gave it more credit for the interest which it has generated for the area. Tracy Hautanen and her staff do a fantastic job of preserving everything and it has brought so many people together, everyone who has been there, hasn’t gone home disappointed and the Centre's forum is widely used by members.

As someone who came from humble beginnings and dealt with the tragic loss of her parents, I’m sure Shania will come back stronger than ever before once she’s healed. She’s an inspiration, and I hope to see her sky-rocketing those charts in future.

Thank you for your time in reading these comments.

Amanda Adams, from England

Thanks for the compliment, I just wanted to show my support for Shania as much as anyone else, especially after the negative comments posted on some message boards. They really know how to knock a person who is going through a hard enough time as it is.

I couldn't agree more. Heart FM and Beacon are two of my favourite radio stations and they still play Shania's music on there. I hope they will support her new CD when it comes out.

Thank you for writing such a beautiful letter Amanda. Should Shania read it, it will touch her heart. Very nicely done.

Possibly one of her relatives or something will see the letter in the paper and pass a copy onto Shania, I hope it does touch her heart. The Timmins Daily Press says that letters sent to the editor are published both online and in their comment/editorial section of their paper.

I'm not sure if any of the Shania Twain Centre staff have seen it yet, since they're mentioned in the letter. I felt they needed to be applauded for what they do, because of some of the negative press they've had also.

you are right Amanda,
i honestly believe that the Centre brings money in,Timmins is not a tourist city so those popele who have dinners, hotels or just grocery stores wouldn't never had that extra money that the shania fans are bringing in when they are visiting.

Not forgetting the stores that stock her Stetson and Starlight fragrances, fans outside the US or Canada can't purchase these normally except for places like eBay so that's bringing in the custom.

Tracy sent me an email, saying the letter was great, also thanking me for my support. Ren informed me the letter did not make it into the paper.
