I agree Country gal, Shania was used to flying solo whenever she attended any event. I think her independent streak is coming out now. She is picking up the pieces and moving on good for her.

Yup, sadly there's nothing new about Shania flying solo. She's done it the last 14 years to various events and award shows without the support of her husband by her side.

I have read a few blog comments laugh that she is wearing so much black, leggings, vest, and high boots for the summer season.� Shania has always done her own thing and I think she looks great regardless.� It's cool Shania is a boot gal.� When Shania is being casual and not on award show stages or in a video, she does normally like to dress down or wear something decent and not overly exposed.� Not the typical star I guess.�

But it's still nice when she usually wins "best dressed" at award shows.�

Sadly I think that country look is gone for ever. I doubt even the female country stars of the present go for that look now. I think the mainstream calls for a more modern and foxy look. Living in Europe may have changed her too. She's got alot of money now, and she shouldn't feel ashamed about spending it on designer clothes. She's earned it.

She was booed at a country concert yesterday by the fans. I think that is kind of mean. She sang some songs off her new album and also sang Willie Nelson and Shania cover songs.

that's a trashy thing to do i like singers and i simply LOVE music.

NOW about the clothes shania wears,
i really believe that she's been influenced a bit by European style although i have to say that she dresses way much better than most Europeans singers,normally here in Eupore the female singers are dressing simply "slutty" bleh

I wish she'd ditch the leopard print though. I suppose it maybe her signature going back to the TDIMM video, but I don't like it. I think when she still wears it now, that it makes her look older and less cool. It's just a personal view, I'm not slamming Shania, just I hate leopard print clothes.

Plus vegetarians who don't eat animals, shouldn't really wear anything that resembles them (e.g leopard print, fur coats) even though they're�fake. It' sort of contradicting that it's not okay to eat meat, but okay to wear clothes.

It doesn't contradict anything. If it is fake,it is fake, end of story.
Like I said before, Shania doesn't care what anyone thinks and does what she wants. She� knows its fake and thats all the countes to her, not what anyone else thinks.

Personally, one of the things I like most about Shania is how independent she is. I think it is great that she has never given a hoot what her critics say (be it about her music or her cloths). Tina, I think your english is fantastic.

I agree chaosinc about when Shania is best dressed. For the longest time she liked to wear casual clothes and you'd see her in not expensive jeans and a tee or bum equipment sweatshirt from the mall but since moving to Europe she has got comfortable with her riches and spending on all the top designer stuff, clothes, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, you name it. Europe has definitely had an influence on her image and style, appearance and musically. Nothing wrong with the fancy stuff, I mean when you have that much money what are you suppose to do with it all? Enjoy life and the finer richer things, but I wish a little of that northern bush girl would still show in her. I guess at times it does.

Animal print even fake does seem odd if you are a vegetarian who believes don't harm the animals. Before Mutt she was a hardcore bush girl who trapped and hunted and was proud of it. Wore real animal buckskins and whatnot. What a contrast in time, lol.

that's why im a freak after all because i love jeans, biggrin

and i dislike overly sexy outfits.
i gotta say though that shania dresses more conservative than Euro female singers.
