This is kinda off topic but i was remembering today of the first time i heard C'est La Vie and i thought that when it said C'est La Vie it kinda had the same rythm of that Dancing Queen song when it says "Dancing Queen" Did anyone else think that ?lol

Also I Wont Leave You Lonely at the beginning sounds like that song that goes like "Every step i take, Every move i make......I'll be watching you" haha i don't know the name of the song but you know which one i mean ;D

Yes it sounds very much like "Dancing Queen" and I recall a discussion about that a few years ago.

I guess I need to listen to the comparison more closely on your second observation. You may be onto something, hehe. I believe that is a Police song you're thinking of? I think Shania has a couple more similarities between other songs by what I've seen people say.

actually it does sound like 'Dancing Queen'just for a 2 or 3 seconds, because i do have the best of of ABBA,and as for the 'Police' song this is the International version of 'I won't leave you lonely' the Country edition is different.
if it was a ripp off they would have sued shania and Mutt but it isn't it,it has to sound the same for a few seconds and not just for 2 or 3.

Oh I know, it happens quite often in music actually when you here parts here and there that are similar, but of course Shania's songs are way different from being considered ripping off of someone else. smile.gif

i could think of many other songs that are similar to shania's but no one would bother because they aren't popular like shania'ssmile

Okay so when I heard the story about how Shania put that laxative in her friend's muffin when she was younger I was somewhat inspired to do the same to someone and I knew that I would do it for sure. And this is also the story of how i got grounded this week. I got the perfect opportunity the other night when my friend was over and so we found out that three of my sister's friends were sleeping over too. We were pretty bored so I told her what we should do. We had cookie dough and laxatives too so it was perfect. We were crushing the laxatives into the dough right in front of my step-dad who was eating in the stool chair right next to us and the dumb ass didn't even notice loll. Anyway..we made it and put extra on the really anoying girl's cookie hahah. We made sure that we didnt put more than the amount you're supposed to take thought. SO we gave it to them and they were like "you guys actually made us cookies?" You must be really bored and we were like "ha yea." They ate them and in the middle of the night I heard the bathroom door slam like twice hahahha. They next day when we told them what we had done they laughed and were kinda like NO WONDER! I didn't think that my sister would actually tell on me cuz she's cool but she told my step-dad and he laughed. Then my step-dad told my mom. She was pissed! She yelled at me and for like an hour and told me how i could've gotten one of those girls killed. I thought it was an innocent prank but whatever....I didn't tell her that i was inspired by Shania haha. It ocurred to me to say Drake and Josh idk why. But anyways i got grounded for a week. Blahhhh. Shania influenced me to do bad things hahha and now I'm grounded. Mine wasn't as bad though ....I would never do that to someone at school >.<

But whaever it was funn :]

loll yeah I didn't think it was a big deal either.

loll i have done the bowl of water in a party before but they woke up and noticed what i was doing so it didn't work.

Hahah next time we are going to draw on their faces with sharpies and then draw on ours with a washable marker, but we will leave one girl with nothing on her face so when everyone wakes up with their face painted, they will all blame it on her ;]

That's so genius.

furiousfuriousfuriousfuriousgreat idea Sarah.
i once gave to a pal a candle that was covered with chocolate, that candle had exactly the same shape as one of the most well known chocolate candies here,so when i saw it i knew i had to take advantage of that similarity.
besides that guy was always eating our candies so it was a small revenge.
anyway he started biting the candle but before he swallow it i told him what it was,but i laughed SO hard watching the guy trying to wolf it downbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

HAH, That's good. That kinda reminds me of when i was in like second grade when we did that expiriment where you mix water and flour and it makes a clay looking thing. When i got home i shaped them into mini marshmallows and told my dad to try it loll and he did. For unknown reasons pranks fascinate me hahah. My older brother always pranked me or scared me when I was little so i guess i was taught by him. Not too long ago he offered me what was supposed to be a piece of gum. When i chewed on it, it was super hard and i was like wtf? this is disgusting gum so i spit it out...later when i looked in ther mirror my whole mouth and teeth were dark blue. I started rinsing but it was super hard. I was pissed. It took forever to get completly off.

The shaving cream one is good too.

Hey amanda....I read your posting about a month ago as to if anyone knew if your letter had made it to the hard copy circulation of the newspaper or only on the online version... Thought I had posted it but not sure where.

ANYHOW...I contacted them explaining I had a request for info from outside Canada as to your request for this info.. I was advised by their editorial manager that they had wanted to put it in the regular paper but could not. They advised me that without a last name they were not allowed to so as a result could only post your letter online. Stated they would be more than happy to do so but sounds like you need to start from scratch.. Not sure if you gave them your last name but if you did they state they have no record of it.. Anyhow..Follow up on this.. If it makes it to the local paper I will be more than happy to mail a copy to you..I could just mail it to your name(general delivery..England and your city name. That way you would not be exposing your personal info to me.. It would simply be mailed to your name, general delivery,London England(or whatever)..You would have to go to the post office though and pick it up yourself....Don't worry about the overseas mailing cost(I think I can afford $10....Bobby boy

I gave them my last name, it's even printed on the online version. I read the agreement thing before I submitted my letter to the editor, it tells you there they won't print letters without the person's full name and location, etc.

Palin is a cutey I'll say, not quite like Shania but similar. I also like both ladies for who they are and what they represent.

I think Shania looks   way better than Palin and has a much better body.
I thought you liked Hillary Clinton--------Just joking!!

Well yes, Shania is much more appealing and you can't argue about the "body" thing, but Palin is got similar face and hair features, not all the time, but at some moments. She is definitely one of the better looking ladies in US politics I've ever seen. I think Hillary's image would give me nightmares!

Nice change of pace, no arguing and ranting. What a way to wanna be. Unity.

I have been hearing a lot of Shania music in Canada as well. I listen to both a US station and a Canadien station and both are playing her music fairly frequently. I guess her label is promoting her and does not want us to forget her. Maybe we are looking at a cd earlier in the new year .....you never know.

Wish I could say the same here, occasionally you might hear YSTO or TDIMM on the radio, but a lot of fresh acts have come on the scene and since taken over.

Probably because of pop Uk radio and their flavor of the months? Shania's pop peak came nearly ten years ago. My how time flies.

It is so hard to believe that it has been 10 years since Shania was at the top of the Country, Pop and World charts. She was huge . She still has a loyal following this to me was shown by how well her perfume sold last year. Shania still sells. Cds do not sell like they did even 3 years ago never mind 10 years. It seems like if you sell 150,000 your first week out this is a huge success. I think Shania could easily top that with a new release. Her cd will be huge regardless of when it comes out.

US 99 always respect her as writer, singer.  Being from Chicagoland area, its true! They have problem....They play her every hour. FM 106, Milwaukee station tries to compete with US 99 when it comes to Shania. But they lack in playing her. I probably heard more Shania on pop stations in Milwaukee than FM 106. No joke! The only thing that FM 106 found out that other stations didn't know...I guess when Shania and Mutt was thinking about moving out of NY. They actually thought about moving to this "Northwoods" Wisconsin town called "Black River Falls." It's beautiful around that area. Lots animals, trees, peace and about 100 miles away from the Mississippi River. Being them, they spread that around to Milwaukee area.
