Hopefully her relations in Nashville will improve.

I couldn't believe Shania did not get nominated for EOTY during the UP tour. In my honest opinion, she should have won in 2004 besides being left off the ballot.

When Shania supposedly goes to Nashville to record her album, which will take 3 months or longer, I am curious as to whether she'll bring Eja with her, or if he'll stop with his father in Switzerland as she may not want to take him away from his schooling. Or if he stays at home with Mutt, how will she cope without not getting to see him for weeks at a time?

Will she go to Nashville to record it. I thought she had a recording studio in her home in Switzerland? Maybe she will fly out a producer to her home. I am so surprised that there have been no rumours as to who the next producer will be.

I thought it would be better for her to record from Switzerland so she can still be with Eja as much as possible and like you say, she could fly a producer over.
Maybe Chaosinc will be able to fill us in on a few other details even if the name of that person she's working with, can't be revealed at this stage.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think I read somewhere that TWIM was released in February 1995. So there is no reason why Shania shouldn't or couldn't release an album in early 2009, November seems a pretty long way off!

I tend to agree. I know of late Shania likes those November releases and TWIM was an early year release before she became a megastar, but with all that has gone on, fall 2009 seems too far off. But whenever Shania is comfortable is what is important, but I think she looks ready.

I have to agree she does look ready. I guess if it is a summer release we would have new music in April. If it is a March release we should have new music in January. That does not seem feasible to me jmo.

Some artists/groups release their albums and lead single all in the same week/month, but you just never know what Shania might do.

Country Weekly Senior Editor David Scarlett said that her comeback could be huge, I really hope Shania releases a new single by the Spring, even if we have to wait just a little longer for the album.

The problem is any time we get any news (with the exception of the CMA's appearance) its either about Shania shopping, traveling and now her new romance with Fred. Nothing's much been said about the album, only that the songs have been pouring out of her since the split and that she is working with a new producer (whoever that may be).

I don't get all the secrecy.
Why when Mutt was interviewed, was he not asked to verify who her producer is, or why was it not reported because he must of been asked and he must know.

so i got into this "i miss the old days" state of mind today so i started listening to the COO cd && i realized why i became a fan in the first place. It brought back memories of probably the best days & i know it sounds incredibly cheesy but it made me feel warm inside :):) WHEN is probably one of the best songs i everr heard & when i heard it today i was like HOLY **** i love that song! then i youtubed her videos and HAWHHI gave me the biggest chills. I guess my point is that her songs have had a HUGE effect on my life and i acknowledge their presence and the memories they bring of things such as being driven to kindergarten and them being on or me & my friends dressing up and dancing to them etc....

i wish plp weren't so caught up as to what is going on in her personal life right or all the crap that's going around :\

we should prolly appreciate what shania has delivered for us & acknowledge her for the reasons she got us to fall in love with her in the first place :))))

ily&&miss you shania, i hope to hear fresh music soon :DDDD

I thought UpUpUp said, Halperin was going to update his blog in the new year, with some more news on the album. And what about nashville narc following up the rumors/emails that they got?

It looks like everything is quiet until the announcement.
This better not be a false alarm.
There is nothing to follow up until the press release comes from the label.
The only thing giving me hope is that Carrie Ann stated that Shania and her label will make an announcement shortly about the new album. And if that is really Carrie Ann, which I believe it is, then there is hope.
Unless Shania pulled another fast one on the fans at the CMA to get their hopes up.
That would be really mean.

Aw! this waiting is starting to become unbareable!
I'm trying to make the time pass by quicker by filling my days with everything Shania related.
Listening to my CD's, watching my DVD's. I've recently received lots of footage I've never seen before. It's exciting, I'm lovin it!! but it is fueling my longing, making me even more anxious and impatient.
The day will surely come, some time soon when I come on Tommy's and find the anouncement is here at last.
It can't come soon enough!!!
