The stars will be shining bright at The King's Wharf Theatre in Penetanguishene on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 6 p. m. as Canada's greatest tribute show Superstars Tribute Live! rolls into town for one night only.
This unforgettable show-stopping concert features tributes to Shania Twain, Tina Turner, Cher, David Bowie, Buddy Holly and many more.
The show's 26-year-old female headliner Victoria Boland has already accomplished great success on her own as singer, songwriter, and one of her achievements include singing on stage with Shania Twain.
"Having the honour to not only meet and perform with Shania was amazing, but to hear 18,000 of her fans cheering with appreciation for my performance was life-changing. It is a memory I will never forget."
Boland's remarks are modest to say the least; her song at Twain's concert was so well received she was awarded with the first standing ovation of the evening. Not bad considering she was only 16. Since then she has gone on to collaborate with Elton John's band in Los Angeles and in 2004 she won the coveted Canadian Open Country Singing Championships.
"A career as a performer is my destiny. It's my passion and with effort and support everyone's dreams are achievable," said Boland.
The show's international appeal includes talent from male headliner Andrew Rudd of Australia.
"What a thrill it is to travel the world doing what I love. Everyday I am reminded of how music really unites us all together. No matter where you call home," said Rudd, who not only brings together all the musical elements of the show as band leader and guitarist, but he also performs several tributes of his own, including David Bowie and George Harrison.
