I think with all the hype and massive promotion for her first new album in 7 years, it may even break her own record of 872,000 first week sales. It will be the most highly anticipated album in years and Shania has mass appeal unlike younger kids these days with only a teenage fanbase.
I meant to say she holds the record for female country artist first week sales. In fact even her second week of sales of UP was bigger than any first week sales of any other country female in history. Shania's new album will see massive numbers if released during the holliday season. Were talking Shania here, even a greatest hits album of olds songs sold massive numbers the first week at age 39. I don't know anyone who doesn't think Shania won't put up massive impressive numbers.
There can be a lot of hype over this new album, depending on the first single released, I can see huge first weeks sales of over 800K with a significant drop off in the second week, but I will guess honestly hitting 700K.
I agree. I think Shania's first week of sales will be thru the roof. She will have the #1 album in country for at least a month. I really believe her next cd will be huge.
