Contact music probably got this info from the interview with Mutt from national enquirer.
Mutt said Shania did not name Anne Marie as third party in the divorce.
And Mutt claims Shania and Frederick are close friends just like him and Anne Marie.

Kevy, you'd argue with a lamp post, wouldnt you?  I said earlier this afternoon that Mutt was going to say that Fred was a great guy in the Enquirer interview, and I was right.  My crystal ball is rarely wrong. smile

SHANIA TWAIN - TWAIN'S ESTRANGED HUSBAND APPROVES HER NEW ROMANCE

Country singer SHANIA TWAIN's estranged husband has given his blessing to her rumoured new romance with his alleged mistress' ex.

Twain split from husband Robert 'Mutt' Lange in May (08), after discovering he was romancing the couple's longtime secretary Marie-Anne Thiebaud, the manager of their Swiss estate.

Thiebaud's husband, Frederick, joined the country star for a trip to New York last week (04Dec08), sparking reports the two hurt exes have formed a special friendship.

And Lange insists he's not bothered by reports of their alleged romance.

When asked if he was upset to see his Twain stepping out with his love rival he tells the National Enquirer, "Not at all. He's a great guy. I have no idea that is even the case. They are very good friends anyway.

"I wouldn't mind if it was the case they were dating, not at all."

Adding of his plans to marry Marie-Anne, Lange adds, "It isn't even that. The whole story was just a story as we are just friends in the same way Shania and Fred are.

"Shania didn't name Marie-Anne as the third party in the divorce. She did not.

If Mutt approves of their relationship, he probably felt he did Shania a favor by cheating on her, so she would end up falling for Fred. Maybe he saw that they had a chemistry together?

It is not so bizarre, and there has been no official announcement of Shania and Mutt's 'divorce' - I'm sure Shania's publicist will make that announcement when it has been finalized. There are millions of dollars involved, and many properties all over the world - plus a custody agreement.
What is soooo nice to hear is that Mutt is happy with Frederic! He sounds like a great guy!

It doesn't really suprise me that Mutt didn't say anything bad. It would look like sour grapes if he did, he would look like a bad loser! Besides if they are now actually divorced, why should he care anyway?
Remember this is what has been reported in National Enquirer, how reliable is it?

I disagree 100%.

 NObody will have to announce anything and you will never know the details since under swiss law everthing is sealed.
They are divorced and I would bet big  money on it.
This was planned out  long ago and worked out by lawyers behind closed doors many months ago.
I wouldn't also be surprised if they have joint custody.
It is none of anyones business when it was finalized and nobody had to make a statement at all.
I could be wrong but  my guess is they have been divorced for quite some time.

This is all so very nuts. I'm really surprised that Mutt talked to the National Enquirer.

If they were divorced, I'm surprised that Shania's publicist didn't announce it or the paps haven't gotten a hold of the divorce papers.

This is like a high school drama. Instead of One Tree Hill, maybe it's One Lange Hill?

I agree.... This is totally bizarre! I never thought Shania's relationship could get so ummmm... interesting? I do, however, find it hard to believe that Mutt gave and interview or commented, but I guess anything is possible with this crazy situation. How much more can be added to this!? I wonder lol.

National enquirer and other tabloid mags do make up stuff when they say friends of or our sources and they don't name the person and their exact quotes.
But when they name the person(Mutt Lange) and they have exact quotes they can and would lose in court if it wasn't true.

Wrong as usual,You don't even have a clue about these laws.
If they slander someone then they have to prove that it hurt that person slandered.
But if National enquirer names Mutt Lange's name and says he gave specific quotes then they are 100% true.
And if they wanted to lie they would make up bad quotes because it would be more juicy.
Deal with it, he gave them a small interview.

Go check the law book before you insult me and trash me and say my opinion in worthless. The only one on this board today who has trashed anyone is you.
And if you don't understand how the law works then it is best to say nothing at all.
Mutt gave an interview,deal with it.
And if  the Enquirer just made up a bunch of quotes about him why not say something bad about Shania?

I don't think its as bad as Mutt's relationship with Marie-Ann is on Eja. If in fact that is what broke Mutt & Shania up in the first place. Either way, EJA will probably be the one most affected by all this!

even if both divorces were mutual you can't be pals with your ex right away,just civilized for the kids' sake,after some time you might be kinda like friends but not right away.
unless if your marriage was dead long ago,which i don't think shania's was at least according to her interviews.

How could Eja have that life?  Their are boundaries of behavior that have been crossed. 

Why do these "close sources" say Mutt is a good parent?  A good parent doesn't screw around with one of his wife's friends.  These "sources" must have pretty low parenting standards.

Something weird is going on with this whole thing.  Why invite the press in with the grand entrance through JFK?  And then all the tabloid articles with "close sources" readily available for comment.  Is she trying to win fan approval of this peculiar relationship?  Is this a publicity stunt to generate interest in her career and new music?  Shania never needed this kind of publicity in the past to have success.  She just relied on great music and hard work.  And what about Mutt talking to the media about Freddy?  He is an odd duck to be sure, but his comments seem odd.  Surely he knows something about Shania's travel plans especially if she was in England and the Carribean before NYC and Florida because he would be taking care of Eja during that time.  Both parents would want to be contacted if something came up concerning the kids so Mutt and Marie both would know something about the travel plans of their ex-spouses.   confuse

Sadly Shania is no different to all the other mega rich and out of touch celebs, they're more into seeing their pics in the rags than thinking about what got them to the top in the first place. Don't kid yourself that Shania is the same person she was 15 years ago. Sadly when you have the power and wealth she has you can surround yourself with yes people and brown noser's.

I still enjoy her music but it has to be said as a person she leaves alot to be desired. I suppose that much like Madonna she has found that nice people don't reach the top. I guess there is alot in the saying about sleeping your way to the top.

I agree with most of that. Many more fans are starting to see that.
People around her have been kissing her butt for years and nobody has ever given her any decent advice.
Evidence of this is the horrible way she has treated her fans for many,many  years.I think parading her lover to the world just adds salt to the wounds of the fact she is not interested in music and more interested in shopping and travelling and having weird relationships with the love triangle.
Fans have given her more than enough respect and patience.
What has she  done the last 6 years besides make fools of her fans for defending her and contribute to the end of her marriage and mislead her fans.
She doesn't even have the decency to give them a personal message and and reassure them new music is on the way in 2009.
Instead she is on a romantic tour embarrasssing herself and her fans.

and this is inlusting to us fans too because if she had to slept her way to the top then she has nothing else (talent) and we are all buffoons for ever bought her CDs.

I disagree kevy. I think Shania is still a decent person but like all of us is capable of making mistakes. It is not easy living in a fishbowl. I think we need to sit back and relax and see what is in store for the new year. I still believe we will have a single in late August with a album release in November. JMO
