i would think Mutt would have a problem with that,plus if its true things may not be so hot and heavy between her and Fred because his child would probably be in Switzerland.Boy this is really and odd situation,i thought years ago she said something about not wanting to raise children in the USA

I had a feeling that she would want to leave Switzerland sooner or later, as it probably reminds her too much of her ex. But I thought she would return to her native Canada, if anything. Then again, if she's going to be living in NY, this would no doubt�make it easier to fly back and forth to Nashville (assuming, she'll go back there)�to record her next album, or she could even record in New York or Los Angeles? NY is also an hour's flight from Toronto, I believe.

I wonder how such a move would impact her and Fred's relationship? Will he go to live with her there, because if he does,�he wouldn't get to see his daughter as often (assuming Marie-Anne has full custody and will remain in Switzerland) whereas Shania will have Eja with her.

Another thought, she's bound to get more�hassled by the paps in the USA and lose her privacy; she's not mobbed-like in Switzerland and can go about her daily life as normal as possible. This is certainly very�interesting.

Shania lived in New York before the move to Switzerland; she has always had a fondness for the place and it's great for shopping.

I believe she lived in Lake Placid in upper NY state,that isn't very far from her family in Canada,has far as having a boyfriend there i doubt it, maybe the reason she doesn't want to admit she is more than friends with Fred is because there having fun but it's not a long term thing

Maybe Shania is confused as to how she feels about Fred; he's obviously helping her heal and being a positive influence in her life�(more notably, a close friend), but it doesn't mean, she's ready to make any sort of commitment yet - not just to him, but anyone else for that matter.

I agree,she needs time to just get over this mess before she gets into anything more than just dating.But she's known Fred for a long time and has seen the way Fred treated his wife so their maybe more to these two,but not admitting that there dating would seem to say that this isn't going to last

Someone on the Shania Forums thinks it's doubtful, she'll move to the SoHo neighborhood as most residential properties there are studio or loft apartments, and not houses.. Gramercy is gated and completely exclusive (no public allowed whatsoever) so that would make more sense.

It will be interesting to see if she does move back to North America.I think it may show how much she was willing to do for Mutt and her marriage. Maybe she really never wanted to move there in the first place

and if she started to eat meat they make some of the best sandwichs to,they have some great deli's in NY.Hey purple are you a Vikings fan,haven't seen purple people eaters in a while

Well if they started to date in September it would be kind of quick but they have known each other for a long time.What crossed my mind was what if Mutt and Maria have been seen out on the town in Switzerland and maybe Mutts starting to be seen with Maria maybe Shania got pissed and said i'll show them

Personally, I can't see Shania moving out of Switzerland. She has her privacy there and I don't think Shania would take Eja that distance from his father (regardless of how she feels about him). I could be way of base here but this is my opinion.

The NY move would be a bit odd. I'll believe it when I see it.

I firmly believe, though, that divorced Shania is a very different person than married Shania. And I don't believe we can judge what she'll be doing in the future by looking at what she had been doing as Mutt's wife. All bets are off now. Anything can happen. And I believe that more surprises are coming. Is a move to NY one of them? We'll see.

Halperin is reportedly a phoney, so who knows if what he�says,�has�any truth. Also why would Shania's friends discuss her plans for the future, when surely something like this is not meant for public knowledge.

I have to be kidding right? Well who knows. It's being reported that Shania is looking to move to NYC, more specifically the Soho or Gramercy Park areas.

The reason for the move? Well its rumored she longer wants to live in the house that her and her ex had so many memories in. She's ready to move on and thinks moving to the States will be exactly what she needs.

Some are saying no way will Shania make the move. Her son has grown up in Switzerland and has a life there. They claim she might be buy a place, but it would just be another vacation home.
